this has come up before. Topps allows custom made cards with your own artwork. i forget the subjects that we saw before. Ah okay I guess he does say it’s a custom, but it also feels like he’s trying to lead you to believe Topps designed and made it. Also guaranteeing it’ll double in value is BS. This is the same seller that did this before as Chi noted. It was an all black Bitcoin Rookie card. The guy has these made and jacks up the price. It’s his own creation for sure. |

These typically bring some of the highest premiums in the physical world. This coin would go for north of .3 I’m sure in an auction, or right at that. The higher loaded denom items are now priced out of the average Joe’s wallet affordability as Blue notes, which will drive the price and demand up for .1 tenths and lower denoms. High graded ones MS69-MS70 fetched around .4ish give or take in private sales I know of. Good luck with the sale!

ICG will slab and authenticate them, but not grade as they are clay. I always suggest slabbing for long term protection, and the value of each will be impacted in a positive way vs ungraded (in my experience).

I know a few of us managed to grab some of the Hobby Box's available this summer, but will you crack them open OR sell them now/later? Does $3K-$4K sound like a good price compared to $20K for the X Hobby?  I had a newbie to the Cryptocurrency card collecting arena say that the prices will go back down, recently...........we've watched it from day 1. There's been plenty of "Collectors" tell me that these cards would never be worth anything, they said that I was CRAZY!!! lol I say to them : DO YOU STILL THINK IM CRAZY???   (Crazy like a Fox...all of us in here)

If anyone is on the fence of selling now might be a good time before the flip of the new year. Good info here, I have been studying up on this also. What is interesting is Ebay will issue you the 1099 but it appears up to you to then disclose to IRS. It appears Ebay will not, but will cooperate with IRS if any documentation is requested of them. Agree next year appears messy…. |

This discussion has been had many times over. There are good arguments on both sides. At this stage of the game in 2021, with price of BTC at 60k, whats the argument for peeling a casacius? Unless you need the money today what other reason would there be? Agree with Blue here. As the price of BTC hit north of 50k, there aren’t a lot of regular Joe’s out there able to afford to purchase a Cas. The last few listed for sale have stale responses while you can’t even find denoms of .01 or lower any longer. To each his own! |
