1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PWR] POWERCOIN - Distributed Computing made easy [NOW TRADING] on: June 17, 2016, 09:05:53 PM
I've submitted a request to Poloniex to add PWR.

No way to stay updated via email so just watch and wait I suppose.

If you want to help the dev get more recognition for Powercoin, I'd suggest everyone takes at least 5 minutes to raise some awareness in some way - submit to an exchange, tweet at the exchanges, talk on the trollbox of current exchanges (which I might add, seems to influence a couple of purchases at a time for just mentioning it), or something else, but don't just sit on your asses.

Still holding my coins...

Holding, hoarding, buying 300k at a time... Firmly in and getting deeper!

Subscription for PowerClient Beta Testing is now open: http://www.powercoin.pw/powerclient-beta/
There are no technical restrictions for the participants (only a computer working on Windows operating system), to subscribe please fill out the form with real data, otherwise we won't be able to contact you later. After the end of this phase, all the selected users will get further instructions and gain access to our Development Page. You won't receive any confirmation email unless you are selected later between the participants.
PowerClient first beta release is scheduled for July 25th, 2016.

Applied for the beta earlier, hope I'm selected to help test and develop this technology further!

As we want PowerCoin trading on many exchanges as possible, later today we will send a formal request to Bittrex for addition. Two exchanges are good for now but we want to expand as much as possible.
We annonce that soon we will begin PowerStage Two: this week a new section on our website http://www.powercoin.pw will be opened, to allow testers to participate on the first beta release of our PowerClient. Potentially everyone can participate, but for technical reasons we will give access to a limited number of users. A feedback page will also show up for the public version of the client in the near future.

Brilliant stuff, I'd love to help participate and test the beta release of the PowerClient. Really looking forward to seeing what Powercoin can do!

Hi all,

I hope you don't mind, but I've been away from Bitcoin for over three years and just today thought to check on the status of things.

Last thing I remember is (I think) our shares in ASICMINER were going into direct shares, but I'm not sure of what address I used or how to go about accessing my shares.

Any help?

Thank you!

I managed to snatch a bunch @ 1.28. That's more than 45% annual return.

Even with all the uncertainty and fear, it's a steal.

Be careful, that's a return based on the previous dividends compared to that price. Actual return will be less until Friedcat brings online the new hashing power.

I'm so sorry I ever sold you my little Asicminer PT's Cry
Completely out of Labcrap now, but out of everything else too, and Asicminer's price is going up, so If I buy now then i'd have made a loss from when I sold this morning... God damnnit I hate crashes, I always make such crap decisions!

This is like when Mt Gox hit $266 and there were probably 50,000+ people on the site - everyone was trying to sell their coins at the same time and caused the site (and the price) to crash. Fantastic.

I think I might cry.
Thanks burnside, it's all gone.

I can't even sell because the site is lagging out...

Errrm, what's going on.

Damnnit, I had my order in before the cut off time and now my order isn't showing up? Is this happening to anyone else, or am I just getting screwed?

Mine went through -- it looks like the purchasing script is still running.

Before it went through did it say you still had an order? Or did that disappear?

Just to make matters worse, this IPO caused a ridiculous crash of ASICMiner.

So not only did I miss out on a great opportunity, I lost a ton of money too.

I'm down a few grand. If I had 10x as many shares in Asicminer I'd probably have punched a wall for not selling out before the crash.

I placed a bid at this time:   2013-07-31 21:00:12

Am I still In or 12 Seconds to late?

Could someone answer, please... :-)

I think you were a little late, sorry buddy

So I come back and something is happening in 7 mins (from what I can tell?). It'll take me 20 mins to read all the new posts in this thread. Can someone fill me in so I don't miss whatever is happening in 6 mins? Smiley

Great to be in the UK now... Don't know if I'll be able to handle 3am with a funeral to go to 6 hours later.

I'm biased because i've already placed bids and the new opening time isn't good for me, but there are going to be hundreds/thousands of people pissed off whichever way it turns out. It may as well just be released as it is, as I would think changing it will just piss more people off.

That and I've been in situations like this where i've been one of the first to invest and managed to lose it all because the administrator decided to do a reset and open it up later  Roll Eyes

Depending on price I'll definitely be interested - Might even stretch to a bulk buy for distribution in the UK.

Instructions for assembly and setup

So it's not plug and play here? Do I need to solder the chips or just plug in some cables and run that mother***?

+1.
Also, is the august delivery set for nearer the start or end of august? The chips are in hand now right?

So many weak hands, so much free money laying around and I have to be sleeping during all of that  Angry

+1! I can't believe i slept through a dip like that.

Unfortunately I've had to sit through it and watch while I wait for payday.

Will grab a few more shares tomorrow evening if they're still going cheap!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=49417.msg2638648#msg2638648 <- BTC Guild stating that it bought and paid for at least 2,000 USB miners.

They do expect more inventory to become available within 1-2 weeks, at which point I will order more.

I think I read somewhere that they sold out of all their USBs within an hour right? If that's true then i'd expect them to order another 1-2k. Which means that next week or the week after we'll be having another great dividend Cheesy

Ordered a Mercury... Order # 31xx... Fuuuuuuuu!!!!!
So I'm guessing this means there's probably a minimum of 600 th/s worth of orders in front of me? I hope I've worked that out wrong
