4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: warning if you use mybitcoin! on: June 20, 2011, 03:49:46 PM
This is common sense no need to warn people.

You'd be surprised how many people use the same account username and password for multiple accounts. Hopefully less prevalent here on the Bitcoin forums, but nonetheless, it's never a bad idea to remind people.

I agree it's just the title is misleading, entered this thread believing something had happened to mybitcoin but instead it's just another person making another topic on changing passwords.

8  Economy / Economics / Re: The upside to the MtGox hax on: June 19, 2011, 10:42:36 PM
Completely agree. Although this isn't just a lesson for MtGox but really an all round lesson to those running important sites used by the community, security is everything!

I was glad to see Britcoin immediately took down it's site to review it's own vulnerability after what happened.

I drank raw milk all my life, I grew up on a dairy farm.

It is healthier?

Or it is gross evil and made you die?

Or neither?

This has now actually officially turned into a discussion about milk  Grin

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin legal? Not according to U.S. government on: June 17, 2011, 11:08:02 AM
Something to consider...unless you have an Austrian (real) economic background, you may just think bitcoin will fail or is not a threat. You won't see it as the most magnificently beautiful and elegant monetary solution man has seen thus far. So even though the CIA was given a presented about bitcoin, they probably won't understand the full potential. People in general won't understand the potential either. People will probably come out with conspiracy theories claiming the bitcoin technology was handed down by aliens to save humanity. I guess my point is that most people today can't think rationally, so bitcoin should have some time before governments start going hysterical.

This. I can imagine the FED getting hysterical in the future and i do look forward to it. Ahhh just reminds me of this

I know a chick who would sell nudes to BTC payers only.
She says she wants to show BTC pride.

Smart girl, thinking ahead.
