I can appreciate why you would say that although I'd consider your post's tone hateful... you're promoting failure.

Not all of us are here on hate.... and if I'm not mistaken, neither are the new devs.

True, it was maliciously born out of a knee-jerk reaction to MK's failed launch by the original dev. But from what I've gather... he's very ill and has taken leave.

I don't hate Keiser.  I've been a fan of his for 8+ years. I still visit his site everyday.  I'm here because I am truly disappointed in how his launch went off.  Maxcoin was my first attempt at mining. I believed in it because of my belief in the man himself, for what he stands for.  But watching the scene play out, it seems as though his coin (& its launch) fly in the face of everything he preaches. I expected much much more.  Very disheartening for me.

Maybe this coin can thrive if it's gone about the right way, not so much as a personal FU to MK, but to all the people promoting pump & dump schemes.  It will never be BTC, but it can be something else, something of substance.

I've had conversations with the new devs. They seem to be standup guys and want nothing more than for this to grow legs. Things are moving, but could more quickly if they had more help.  If I had wallet or website coding skills, I'd throw my hat in to help as much as I can.

I've been on this thread and have mined since day one.  I see the miners bailing and trying to muck their coins.  The coin absolutely needs exchange.... no one doubting that. But in its current iteration, it'll be near impossible.  I'm sure they don't put just any coin on their exchanges.  The new team is not giving up on this possibility.

No one giving you excuses... it's just the reality of where this coin is at the moment.  These guys are working hard to keep it alive.  If you're bitter and ready to throw in the towel, no one is stopping you.  However, I think by the end of next week we'll all see big changes. All the best.

It's a re-release not because of failure, but because the original dev became very ill and handed this off to the community.  That and it really needed to be polished up in order for any exchanges to take AKC seriously.  Do you think they'd list a coin based on resentment?  Those here in the community want to make this a viable coin and make it worth something more than just an FU to Keiser.

As for any newcomers, maybe some won't even know or even care. Maybe others would appreciate the evolution.

Personally I'd love to see it become something more and meaningful.

My apologies if relaunch isn't too your liking.  How about a re-release?  There'll be more than just updated wallets

The relaunch is being worked on and hopefully will be done some time early next week.  Don't hold me to that, but from the discussions I've seen I know that the wallets are almost complete with the new logo. VERY IMPORTANT:  If you're using the current wallet before the new release, please make sure you keep the wallet.dat file so you won't lose your current coins.

There is also work going on behind the scenes for an improved website & communications with the new team.

I think we've all been left with a bad taste in our mouth with Maxcoin.  Hope you'll stay on for the ride  

Finally someone with balls to tell it like it is.  Great starting point to get this fucker moving in the right direction.  Count me in!

Thanks for your input.  I can appreciate what you said however the launch of this coin was initially to prove how a launch should be done.  Although it was not perfect, it was many times better than the Maxcoin launch.  No need for me to retell the failings of Maxcoin, it's already on this site, other site and even some of Keiser's own sites/promo pages.

If you go back a few pages under this discussion, you'll see that the original Dev has some serious health issues at the moment so he has handed it off to the community.  Sounds like there are some excellent plans for a rebranding/relaunch.  If you have some skills or constructive ideas, maybe you can contribute... and who knows where this could go?

Let's get our new game face, something serious & professional (BCP's logo will do nicely) while we get our house in order, so we can go after the exchanges.  Definitely need to get the numbers together too.
