Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao's performances will also play an important role in Atletico Madrid's future in the league this season. These two teams have shown really nice performances so far and entered top 4. But we haven't seen much of an impressive success from these teams in the recent years. This makes me doubt their consistency in their future games.

If these teams start failing then Atletico Madrid can still find themselves a place in top 4 to join the Champions League. This season is a big opportunity for Betis to make it to the Champions League too. They missed this chance by a small margin last season. Thanks to Sevilla's horrible season now Betis can take advantage of this.

PSG will end the season early most probably and completely focus on the Champions League. Because there is really no big threat to PSG in the Ligue 1 at the moment. Lens might seem to be having a good season now but I don't think they can maintain this consistency for a much longer time. PSG will have a quite enough time to open the point difference with others until their matches against Bayern Munich.

For the second spot in the Ligue 1, I'm favouring Marseille. Maybe their form dropped down suddenly but I believe they are still stronger than the remaining teams fighting for this spot.

Real Madrid - Liverpool and PSG - Bayern Munich matchups are like early final matches. Real Madrid and PSG are my favourites in these. Real Madrid are still doing a great job in the Champions League. Maybe they didn't have a very tough group but their performance was still impressive in the end. Besides we watched how they performed in the previous season here against the biggest teams. I think they are one step ahead of Liverpool as long as Liverpool don't make a big improvement.

PSG eliminated Bayern Munich before and they can do this again. They have a great trio that would play a huge role in advancing to quarter finals. Bayern Munich haven't signed a striker after selling Lewandowski but they are still doing a great job now. But we never know what they will do against a team that play much more solid than their opponents in the group stage. PSG might eliminate them again by a close margin.

It sounds interesting to dream Ronaldo playing for Newcastle now. I don't think that Ronaldo's first choice would be Newcastle as they aren't in the Champions League currently. Yes, they are one of the most perfoming teams in the league now. But this must be not enough for Ronaldo's expectations. He underlined many times that he wants to play for a team that is competing in the Champions League now.

Chelsea seem like one of the strongest candidates for now and they would really make use of a striker these days.

Winning the Champions League title will of course complete the main goal for Manchester City. However things won't be ending by this. They have many titles ahead of them to claim in the future. Especially after winning the Champions League title for the first time, I think there will be more to come. Because they will have broken the deadlock finally with this amazing squad and strong game plan.

Guardiola will be needed for consistency. Because all of the system and team have been built according to him. If he leaves they might have problems depending on who will come. They will need to find a manager who prefers a similar tactical understanding to Guardiola's then.

Atletico Madrid still have a long way to go in the league to be able to reach the level of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Because there is a significant drop in their effort level in the recent seasons. This season is even worse than the previous one I think. Because they had a horrible run in the Champions League. Their performance in the La Liga is also bad now as they are far away from the title competition.

Hopefully Simeone is thinking of some changes in his strategies. Or maybe he might think of leaving at the end of the season. Whichever happens, I just think they need to start playing differently to be more consistent.

Juventus have made a huge progress in the league after a point. They started really badly and Allegri was in a really problematic situation. Being unsuccessful in the Serie A and Champions League both caused people to talk about his getting sacked soon. Juventus president still seemed to be confident about him for the future considering his statement about the topic.

After that we all have witnessed how the team started to get positive results in the Serie A. They are still on a winning streak and they have reached the third place in the points table too. Their being able to do this despite many injuries is really impressive. The World Cup break should also help their players get well and be ready for the rest of the season.

Juventus game was indeed not satisfying for anyone. The number of goal attempts they had wasn't much different than the previous game. This time they weren't good enough to finish them up with goals. This look of Juventus make me doubt them about this season also. If we don't see any improvement they may not do better than finishing the season at the 3rd or 4th position. Pogba's absence is felt in their midfield maybe but I don't think it's the only reason.

Ancelotti tried a trio in the midfield like Modric-Camavinga-Tchouameni after Casemiro left the team. I think that they got a nice result of this choice in the previous league game. Tchouameni is really lucky that he has found a big chance to show his skills and strength earlier. Casemiro's departure paved the way for him. Having a younger midfield would increase the durability of the team a lot in important games.

Real Madrid started better than Barcelona. However Barcelona's performance was still good actually. They just struggled about finishing up their attacks with a goal. Maybe it was a really bad luck. But we would find out about it by next week games. Real Madrid might have lost points too by the way because they had to make a comeback from a 1-0 disadvantage.

Depay is going to be a great choice for Juventus after releasing Dybala on free. Depay can play in the starting eleven right beside Vlahovic if Allegri prefers a formation having two strikers. Kean is also very decent now but I think that he would be their second option when they have Depay. Juventus should go for a midfielder sooner or later as they need this transfer more now. Milinkovic-Savic or another strong midfielder like him would be wonderful.

I think that this season is going to be a season that Atletico Madrid are struggling to keep up while Barcelona and Real Madrid are competing hard for the La Liga title. Because I see nearly zero change about Atletico Madrid now. It is more difficult for them unless they add really qualified players to the team. I don't think Simeone would change his tactics much either.

Here we go. Arsenal are playing an away game versus C. Palace today. Arsenal are my favourite by far. I don't expect any surprises in this game. Something must have finally changed about Arsenal from now on. Unlike the beginning of the previous season, this time I'm hoping to see a way better start. If Arsenal want to finish the season in top four they need to drop the loss of points to minimum. This is one of those games I believe so they should be winning it.

New season is coming and I'm very excited. Because finally there have been a big competition in this league for two seasons. We have witnessed Inter and Milan becoming the champions consecutively. It is kinda great that Juventus' dominance has ended for now. This has made the league much more attracting. For new season it is really hard to make a prediction about the champion now for example. We will see what teams are going to make the best starts.

There is less than an hour to go. Silverstone GP is close to us and I'm really excited. It is expected to rain only before the race as far as I see in a weather report for Silverstone. There is a slight possibility for it to rain during the race too but it isn't much likely. After watching qualifying under heavy rain I started to think that it would be more delightful to watch this race in a similar condition.  Grin  If it doesn't rain then I won't be expecting big surprises in this race in normal conditions. I'll be watching Sainz closely also after this pole.

I have started seeing the number of contenders for signing Serge Gnabry increasing currently. After hearing about Manchester United and Arsenal I see now Manchester City are also thinking about going for him. But Manchester City's situation is dependent on whether Raheem Sterling is sold or not. As you might be knowing Chelsea are already after Sterling so it's a likely deal. If Manchester City joins the race for Gnabry I don't think the others would have any chance left.

It is still vague whether Barcelona are going to be able to complete the agreement with Bayern Munich for Lewandowski. Like you people said Bayern Munich have already rejected Barcelona's third offer too. This must be really annoying for Barcelona as they would like to finish the deal as soon as possible. However it doesn't seem like this process is affecting them negatively right now too. Because they are going for their other targets like Raphinha on one hand.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 03, 2022, 12:22:24 PM
Dortmund are one of the teams that like to sign and grow young and talented players. They are like a steppingstone for that kind of players. Erling Haaland was one of them for example. He wasn't known much by people before but things changed a lot after joining Dortmund. It is going to continue to be the same for very talented players like him. Dortmund's main goal must be this because of that. If they aimed the Bundesliga championship first then they would build a squad according to it.
In fact, Borussia Dortmund's vision is very good, they are successful in creating quality players. But how good their ability to create quality players is coupled with achievements, it will be something very extraordinary. It's just that until now I haven't seen that they will do that (achievement). It's a shame when their abilities are not put to good use.

About that, do you remember their 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons in the Bundesliga? They were just wonderful back then and became the champions in both seasons comfortably. However everything started with Lewandowski's being sent from the team. After that we never saw them becoming the champions again. Maybe their main focus might not be the Bundesliga championship like I assumed but they would feel really great if they make it to the title after long years.

Actually arsenal have a lot of money this season to spend, arsenal owner stan kroenke has allocated 215 million pounds for player purchases and so far they have got two big names namely Fabio Viera and Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Jesus is rumored to be introduced to the public soon and reportedly Jesus will wear number 9 in arsenal, if indeed Youri Tielmans is successfully obtained by arsenal of course this will be good news for arsenal fans but hasn't the stock of arsenal midfielders currently piled up enough after Viera arrival?
In my opinion, rather than chasing players who play as midfielders, it is better for Arsenal to look for players who play as defenders to back up their defense next season and Martinez is a player that Arsenal should focus to get.

You could be right about that as they have quite a lot of midfielders in the team at the moment. But on the other hand while Tielemans is a central midfielder Vieira is more of a attacking midfielder. When we consider that Arsenal prefer the 4-2-3-1 formation most of the time, they can still find a place for both of them. There will be a huge competition among this many midfielders in the team though but I don't think Tielemans would have any problems on securing his place in the starting eleven.
