If the hacker is the same person who had quoted, both can be changed, lol. I always prefer to archive. One can easily edit the quoted post. That's why I prefer archive to avoid any kind of trouble.

it is understandable because you will prefer not to report someone who has the same nationality with you, right?
That's not true at all. I have reported 32 posts and of course, some of those are from my local thread. I really prefer to report spam posts from my local thread because I want to keep it free from spam. How about encourage members to apply as merit sources and focus on finding meritable posts on their local boards?
What have you meant my members? Rank or Everyone? If rank, everyone can apply for becoming merit source. If you referred overall members of the forum, well, that depends on people. Why should it be encouraged? If someone is willing to become merit source, s/he is welcome to apply.

Just a question: are all those alts you're talking about people who scammed bounty campaigns or who broke merit rules ? Or are you going after everyone here who has an alt account?
Read under Miscellaneous. They are all bounty abusers, mostly twitter abusers. That's all about Known Alt's of any-one. Not only the bounty or merit abuser. It can be LoyceV and LoyceMobile, hilariousandco and hilariousetc.

You're welcome to apply as a Merit source Merit sources are specially needed for local board. Right now, I think it's enough for global (English). It's sad to say that we don't even have our own seperate section. Also, Be a somewhat established member.
I am still not an established member. and We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.
The history should be quite long

I think we need to decide what we are actually tracking here. If we are tracking currently active forum users who are widely recognized by other forum users, then I think Vod's list is probably pretty accurate.
The list is organized based on Merit, activity and trust. With this three parameters, anyone with higher position can definitely be on the top list. Gavin Anderson has enough activity but in trust, he is not even in 1000 list, IMO. Also, almost close in merit. So, if we consider those 3, he is definitely not most recognized. Well, this result is based on forum activity only. It doesn't calculate the contribution of course. Agreed with you. That's bitcointalk world, not bitcoin world. I believe the three main pillars of a bitcointalk profile are Merit, Activity and Trust (MAT).
Since I already rank everyone based on those attributes, I thought I would make a new attribute and call it "Recognition".
Everyone is scored 1-1000 for each pillar. If you are not ranked you are scored 1000. The totals are added up, and divided by three.

I would request the team/theymos to kindly introduce multiple languages section in the Indian board. Languages like Hindi,Tamil, Bengali, Marathi etc (major ones having 50 Million+ speakers) can help the regional community get better accustomed to the forum.
There is already a sub-forum in Indian Local Board named Regional Language. I don't think there should be seperate sub-forum for different languages. Lastly, I would also like to point towards the lack of Meriters on the Indian board. I see many genuine posts not getting the recognition they deserve.
For your info, irfan_pak10 has already applied for being merit source and I think theymos will add him on next update. ~snip~
My bad. I have seen irfan_pak to send sMerit in Indian Local board and that's why I thought him an Indian.
Wondering why have you used CAPS LOCK (Block letters) in your title.

This is one of the reason I want a board, because as a moderator I'd be able to nuke a spammer or handle spam reports at one go.
I doubt local moderator can nuke an user. An user can have posts in other section too. So, logically, you will not be able to nuke an user. In addition, from the comments above, it seems you are not active in the forum, almost not at all. How will you manage if you be a local moderator?

It's easy to find the option buy Copper Membership. Click on the menu "More" and you will find 2 option. One for buying copper membership and another is for donation. Here is the menu- By the way, I can't find where you have been scammed.

Moderators are not free all the time, they are either handling other case or busy with real life activities. You need to wait some times. Wait and check back later.

scammy links to ICO's or whatsoever
If scam is the issue, why don't we restrict people to post ICO ANN here? Aren't they scamming more? Lots of new ICO is launched daily and people lose thousands of dollar. I'm agreed with you but if you consider scam, restricting ICO ANN will be more effective. Also, because of those ICO ANN thread, spams are increasing too.
I think theymos is not thinking about this now at all. Otherwise, in recent updated restriction, he would definitely add this one too.

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to link it to Jet Cash in the profile unless I start to use it.
Won't there be a conflict if there is such an option? If someone (scammer) creates new accounts or uses old account for linking with a high ranked user, it will create a conflict. Still the master account have to admit that s/he owns the account. I've just been re-reading the alt account threads here, and it occurred to me that it could be useful to include a reference to a master account in the profiles of legitimate alts.
There is no such thing as an illegitimate alt account as multiple accounts is allowed in the forum. Legitimate alt account= Self admitted alt accounts. For example, hilariousandco and hilariousetc On the other hand, illegitimate alt accounts= Alt accounts used by different members which is not known to us/public. OP has mentioned to add an option where there will be way to link up the main account.
