381  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online Shopping on: December 22, 2018, 06:45:12 PM
Dear user,

while most people above me let you know about the advantages of
online shopping, I would also like to give you advice such that you
have an extraordinary experience:

-Make sure you research the seller and the item before placing an order
(a simple Google search is usually enough. If the seller is new and has no
past history, you can still place an order as long as it looks legit and the
item purchased in relation to the price looks accurate)
-Don't be afraid of delivery! If your item arrives and it's broken, most
sellers will offer you a full refund or, resend you the item.
-Did you know that you can get better online prices than 'off-line'?

The main disadvantage you have online is that sometimes you may spend
as much time, or even more than going shopping in a physical location.
The reason you spend more time online is because some sellers have a wide
variety of products, the choices online being amazing! The reason online
shopping is amazing is because it connects you with the sellers
from the other side of the country
, therefore you are not limited
to your local store.

The last thing I would like to mention is that, if you are a calculated
shopper and prefer to 'get more for less' or find the best deals, it's
less time consuming to compare products online than going to each
store in your location.
382  Other / Off-topic / Would non-anonimity help crypto? on: December 22, 2018, 01:55:28 PM
My question for everyone on this forum,
would cryptocurrency non-anonymity/non-pseudonymity
help crypto become a recognised financial security?

While this is against the value of cryptocurrency,
I want to remind you that top organizations had
to go against their values in the past. I am only going
to give you the example of Microsoft
which didn't adopt Cloud technology
with Microsoft Azure until 2010.

Here are two big factors with making crypto non-anonymous:
-Less scammers as they are going to be prosecuted
-Adoption by the wide public because of the less risk involved

Can you challenge me and tell me why this would not work and why it's not
a good idea, except saying that 'cryptos were made to let users be anonymous'?

I want to remind that, bitcoin doesn't offer anonymity, only pseudonymity, meaning
that you can still be tracked,  and that it is limited by the financial availability.
383  Economy / Digital goods / Ethereum Lottery Selling on: December 20, 2018, 11:43:44 PM
I am the founder of Cryptomillions, a semi-decentralized lottery based on Ethereum Blockchain.

I am currently selling it for the following reasons:
The lottery was a self made project which I am not willing to bring forward
because it requires a lot of time

It requires a marketing budget for it to be successful

Reasons to buy:
75% of the project is already done
It is already in the stage where it can operate
It only requires a marketing team
A small lottery licence is only £40/year for small lotteries and £400/year for big lotteries
but is non-transferable (source)
Currently runs on AWS and I haven't paid more than £5/month for server operations therefore it's
a cheap solution. I must also mention that the back-end performs very well in the entire world with
Cloud-Front, allowing for very fast requests!

The 25% missing part:
It's the server side algorithm and operations mentioned here.
You can do it differently such as fully decentralizing it, leaving it like it is now!

Price: just 20 ETH for source code, domain name + guidance on how to implement it on AWS

If you are interested, leave a reply here or contact me at: contactcryptomillions@gmail.com
384  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What if? Satoshi Nakamoto's identity was public information on: December 20, 2018, 12:32:12 AM
Guys you are not updated.

Satoshi Nakamoto is supposed to be dead. Yes, dead.
He had different bitcoin mining plants that were stolen
by another of the co-founders.

Oh, and if we estimate his net worth using Bitcoin's
good old days $20k value, he was worth $19
billion.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How does an Average Joe buy STO's? on: December 20, 2018, 12:21:42 AM
An STO is not an ICO.
Security tokens are essentially digitized traditional securities. If you already invest in securities in any form (stocks, bonds, real estate, CDs, etc.) then you are familiar with what it means to hold a security. For example, a security token would simply replace your paper stock certificate with a digital version. When you invest in a security token, you are actually investing in the underlying asset. The fact that there is a security token is somewhat irrelevant — it’s simply your digital proof of ownership in that security. Security tokens are not cryptocurrencies

Pretty much, in the real world if you want to gain something big from stocks, bonds or real estate, you can't be an average Joe.

Hope that helps
386  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you use a VPN? on: December 19, 2018, 11:36:20 PM
I don't use a VPN as, under UK law you can be asked to decrypt the VPN data if the government suspects you. If you don't encrypt you get 2 years in jail or 5 years if you're suspected of child pornography. Therefore, why using a VPN?

My friend instead, he uses VPN. He paid for Nord VPN and he's very happy about it
387  Other / Off-topic / Re: Importance of not envying others on: December 19, 2018, 11:11:04 PM
To envy someone is not a bad thing in of itself. It can become a powerful drive in your life that can propel you to the upper echelons if you are able to harness the desire to have what others have and apply your efforts to emulate their efforts. As long as the person you envy isn't doing anything illegal, you can learn allot by studying what they have done and doing the same. You CAN envy someone's good fortune while at the same time NOT begrudge them for it. If everyone used the stories that of how people came about their good fortune we could all learn a lot as well. As a bonus, retelling some of those stories can also be a source of entertainment.

I perfectly agree. The part with begrudging sounds to what I meant to say! Thanks for teaching me this term dear user
388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Importance of not envying others on: December 19, 2018, 11:09:14 PM
I think the picture is a little bigger. A lot of this has to do with internal feelings about external stimuli.

I recently heard about a study in which found people who had perceived social support, regardless of the size of their social group, were happier.
A similar study looked at wealth and income. Folks who felt they had enough income to take care of themselves were much happier, regardless of how much money they actually made.
All this to say, feelings of envy, desire, jealousy, insecurity, usually are a result of how you perceive the world around you, not necessarily the actual things in your life.

I don't get the part with internal feelings and external stimuli. Don't
you connect your feelings with the external world? Maybe I am
misunderstanding.

Regarding the part in bold, that's exactly what I mean. When you are a 'big guy',
small things for you could mean big things for others, so everything must be appreciated
in equity
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON and ETHEREUM on: December 19, 2018, 10:52:36 PM
Is that a call for hodlers to make sure they have both TRON and ETHEREUM
in their portfolio?
Because I do  Grin

The reason I don't expect TRON to go beyond $1 (ever) is because
of the total supply
390  Other / Off-topic / Importance of not envying others on: December 19, 2018, 05:00:43 PM
By nature we tend to envy those people who have what we need.
The envy is good only if constructive (aka for you to realize that
you don't have what you need so you have to take action and
change your life), but most people will use it against themselves.

Let's have an example, you see a yellow Lamborghini Urus
parking. Most people will criticize the owner, saying that the
Urus is not a good choice because is ugly, or,
most people will jump to conclusion saying that the owner
has only got that Lamborghini because he either inherited money,
won lottery or, scams other people. What most people don't do is
appreciating and recognising that other people have a better life,
that other people have made it with their own power.
The successful people have the 'energy of success' and by envying
you deny it. The guy has everything you want and you deny having
it because you envy.

Start appreciating the small things, stop criticising, stop envying and
then you will have what you want. It doesn't happen overnight.

The reason I am sharing this is because since I started applying this
concept in my life, everything goes my way. Every obstacle or barrier
that I had, I could easily bypass it. Hope this will enable others to
become successful person. If you want to add something, or share anything
let us know in this thread  Smiley

Tell me it's Satoshi who is the anonymous topic creator  Grin
With all the respect for this guy, all I want to tell you is to
not focus on the past. You can learn from it but focus
on the future.
It's difficult to estimate the success of a project,
however if I have to mention something it's
definitely Elixxir,
a project made by David Chaum, founder of
eCash, the first real 'bitcoin' Wink

Yes, I pay attention to details and yes, I am part of the Illuminati
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EO coin market manipulation? on: December 19, 2018, 02:22:20 PM
The only reason why nobody should invest in EO is not only that, but 30% referral program sounds stupid. Nobody can offer that much unless they are willing to scam their customers. I wouldn't invest in a company who scams their customers

Thanks brother. I will slightly disagree on what you said and give EO what is theirs. Other organisations like Binance can offer up to 40% commission. Again, this is done through a strategic scheme which allows them to do that, with their BNB. If EO can do that, then it's fine but, I doubt it after all these suspicious transactions

396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / EO coin market manipulation? on: December 19, 2018, 01:09:58 PM
First, I hope I am posting in the right section! This is a token investigation and it's more of a speculation of what is going to happen.

EO is supposed to have a $22 million airdrop. Speaking with the team, I heard that you will receive around 8% of the tokens you have but...

DON'T RUSH! Here is what I found:

The Smart Contract address currently has 33k EO Coins left.

On the other hand, there are some 'fishy' accounts with more than 15% of the whole supply :O

This account has 199,784,416.16 EO  (Yes, 199 millions or nearly 20% of the entire supply)

This account has even more, 235,482,686 EO (235 millions or, 23.5% of the total supply!).

You will see hundreds of transactions between these two big accounts, sending 1k-5k tokens to each other, most likely funded by the organisation to increase the volume and supply/demand. That's market manipulation at its finest, trying to increase the volume and get you to invest with them. If you already did, I wish you I'm wrong. If you didn't, I wouldn't take this risk.
