1  Economy / Services / Need a simple website on: November 20, 2018, 11:37:24 PM
Hello! i need a simple website!
i sell BTC,LTC and ETH from time to time, and to make it easier i'd like to set up a website, just a simple one where people can choose their crypto (to buy or sell!)
input their email, their desired crypto (and amount) and how much it will cost/they will get and their crypto adress! then i'd need a admin page where i can view the order(s)!

state price in thread Smiley thanks!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My mining rig/rack ! on: October 08, 2018, 05:48:43 PM
here mine

will probably sell it(there is no gpu now)

Is there any difference in temp between the bottom group and above one? (I know those additional fans will help to push hot air) I don't recognize, what cards is it? One more thing, is that unpowered risers?

I think that setup will work great on reference cards (AMD) related to the air-flow that will push hot air to one side. Good setup, I like this.

So, you are using two PSU (server and consumer PSU). But my question is, is there any magic trick related to the glass above the PSU?  Cheesy. Good work!

yes Smiley! i had a shortage on "PSU" power so i had to use 2! but there's still only 1 Power cable connected to each rig!
oh yes, that magic glass made it all happen Wink
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig turn off when miner start on: October 08, 2018, 12:58:14 AM
Since your rig has been working for 2 years, try to unplug all cards but, does it mine now? if it does, plug in another one and keep on going until it crashes.
when the rig crashes at X cards take the newly added Card, put it away and remove all the cards in the rig, now take the card you just put away and put it in your rig, does it mine ? if not then it's the card, if the rig is mining with that card it might be that the PSU has lived it's life

Thanks dude, i've got a DPS-1200 PSU doing nothing.. I have plug the 4 gpu on it. Now it mine. PSU of the pc isnt good enough for mobo/fan/etc +gpu. End of life, as you said. Thanks alot.

No problem Smiley glad i could help, happy mining!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to set minimum fan speed in bios ? on: October 08, 2018, 12:14:21 AM
you could use NiBiTor to change the Fan speed then use NvFlash to flash the new bios to the card
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / My mining rig/rack ! on: October 08, 2018, 12:00:38 AM
I made this for my mining rigs so i could easily fir them in my rack and "pull them out/push them in" whenever they needed maintenance!
anyone else got any cool pictures of their rigs ?

Sorry i didn't have more pictures on my computer !
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard / GPU issue on: October 07, 2018, 11:51:55 PM
Toss that board and get a ASUS Minin Expert M/B and be done with the BS.  I run 3 of them and they are MADE FOR MINING!
you add nothing to the solution...
"made for mining" it's just a motherboard, and honestly ASUS Minin Expert has a history of being anything but a mining board.
MSI Z270-A pro  is great for mining.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be sent, received or traded (used) without the internet? on: October 07, 2018, 06:54:54 PM
YES! Bitcoin can be sent Offline! there's many ways of doing this actually!

First of all you need to generate the transaction offline on your QT, then you can Either;

1: put the transaction on a USB and mail it (it's slow but it works) once your friend gets the USB he can plug it in and brodcast it...to the internet tho.
2: CB radio! this really cool Smiley http://betteroffbitcoin.com/a-protocol-for-offline-bitcoin-over-radio-transactions/
3: diaosjd982j3mklidsjjd sdfsd omdkslfsi j9sijfo2k msdf iwioekmls kdfnieosfkl s,

however, all "receivers" needs internet at one point for the transaction to broadcast to the network.
i guess if you use option #2 and set up a hub in a city where you have internet, you could shoot all transactions to that hub and have them verified from there (automatically)

i think option #2 would probably be best for you and "small villages" but it requires some work.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard / GPU issue on: October 07, 2018, 06:45:47 PM
okey. so you've put everything together? RAM, CPU and your hard drive, but the system is not recognising the GPU ? are you trying with 1 or multiple GPUS ?
can you get a signal if you use the HDMI/DVI output on the motherboard ?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: decrypt old wallet.dat file on: October 07, 2018, 06:27:21 PM
There are several tools to do this, and there are several services.
There are also several scammers who will take  your funds! Be very careful who you trust, don't send your wallet.dat to anyone (1 million possibilities is very easy to brute-force), and ignore all "offers" you get through PM!

I second this.

I'd urge the op to do his own brute-forcing. This tool worked wonders for me in the past: https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover

I can't imagine it taking long to brute force a password that only consists of 6 numbers... I wouldn't risk getting scammed by using an external service.

a 6 "number" password should be very easy! there's no need for OP to actually use any third-party service, i have never used https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover but i've heard it's good.

"Jd8!O_" for example taked around 14 Hrs to crack with a I5-6600K ( i might be wrong tho ), if you use your GPU it should be even faster (depending on your GPu that is hehe

i get that some people want to keep money on a exchange in maybe USD OR EURO so they can buy whatever coin they want fast [...]

There is no need to use an exchange. Many of them have ridiculously high fees (mostly withdrawals) and force their users to pass through KYC verification. I would rather use Changelly or some other third party service which offers quick exchange between different cryptocurrencies. Even TREZOR started supporting these kind of services natively in their web wallet interface.

i think you forget that people also use exchanges for trading, as a mean of income.I myself do lot's of trading, but i try to keep as little coins as possible in the exchange whenever i'm done.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for new members NOT to keep money on a Exchange. on: October 06, 2018, 05:54:03 PM
i get that some people want to keep money on a exchange in maybe USD OR EURO so they can buy whatever coin they want fast, but it's not worth the risk, crypto has a bad history of hacked exchanges, for those of you who wants to have money in a stable form (euro or USD) should look into USDT maybe, however i have very little experience with USDT so i can't say much about it.

Reminder for new members NOT to keep money on a Exchange, it could end badly for you.
always keep your bulk in a offline storage.
Yeah exchange is not so much safe for store our money. But if we are a trader then there have no others way. But if we choose best exchange for trading and if we follow all security regulations then we don't need to worry about our money.

you can follow all the security regulations in the whole world but that won't help you if the Exchange is hacked.

even if the exchange is "huge" and follows government regulations it can take years fo you to get anything back from a "big hack"
better safe than sorry, store coin offline !
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: incredible as it may seem........... on: October 06, 2018, 12:55:02 AM
Some people believe Ethereum price will rise back to late 2017 levels again and continue mining because of this belief.
So it is up to them to spend more then what they are getting now in actual amounts at current price.

It is a type of fictional euphoria to them in allowing their current mining systems to continue to run while at a loss.
It is their money not yours so they can do what they want with themselves.

I dont believe people will spend $5 dollars of electric to get $3 dollars worth of coins when you can just buy on exchange and get the the full $5 dollars worth of coins.

I think we need to stop that assumption.

Duh kyc stops many from buying coins.

Many want clean hidden coins and will mine at a loss to get them.

I am giving you this example.  Drug dealer in South America makes 100,000 usd a day.

Money is not very clean.  He sets up a mine in the state of Washington USA .

It generates 50000 in coin a day but costs 55000 to do so.
So he loses 5000 a day. The reality is. For 5000 a day he turns 50000 in drug money to 50000 in mining money.

No more complicated then this.

Myself I have 4 x Vega 56s
I have 12x 1080ti
I have  1 x 2080
I have 2x 1050ti
I have 1x rx 560

I mine them at close to breakeven + 5% to a core wallet which means they are private for now.

This is actually a really good take on it hehe

Which cards to you prefer the most out of the ones you've got ?

i'm running RX 480 8GB at the moment, which are making a profit.
my Favorit  was always the R9 290, i got 5 rigs with 4 R9 290x still in use, however i've actually rented out the rigs (for free) to some local garages as "heaters" Smiley THEY get the heat and i get the eth Smiley
i miss the old R9 290x, they were so powerful and could mange almost anything

you can't look at it from your stand point, lots of countries have accesses to cheap electricity and now that there's ASICS those people, in those contries are making a fortune even if the Difficulty is this high

my rigs for an example made ROI months ago, today they earn very small amount each month, but it's still higher than the Power bill, so i'll keep on mining,
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin is a security, a currency or a commodity? on: October 05, 2018, 01:12:04 AM
i see Bitcoin as a currency, even if bitcoin actually failed as a currency (takes to long to make transactions, no one wants to wait 10 min to buy a coffe)
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Breaks Millions of Dollars of Cryptocurrency ASIC Miners | SIA Hard Fork on: October 05, 2018, 12:38:17 AM
It's great to see SIA break away from ASICS, how i hoped that Ethereum would do the same...

"break away from ASICS" correction, is not breaking from, sia will still be asic from and more importantly asics from sia devs.

ah i see, sorry i was in a hurry
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Apart from trading where else to use crypto? on: October 05, 2018, 12:32:12 AM
I've been using Crypto as a means of payment for years now, mainly Bitcoins, in my country you can actually buy a lot of things with crypto, this is probably due to the fact that i'm mining.
This is all online, i've never bought anything Face to Face using Crypto and 99% of the time i'm using Bitcoin because all the stores only accept Bitcoin, i'd love to see stores accept Litecoins, i've had to Email the "Bitcoin payment provider" tons of times because the transactions can sometime take ages and often you only have 10-15 Minutes on you to; 1 Send Bitcoin, 2 get a "1" confirmation before the time runs out! however on some smaller purchases there seems to be a 0 conf confirmation.

using Bitcoin as payment is great most of the times, but i do think Litecoins would be better.
