1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BAT - Basic Attention Token ICO (31-5-17)- Worth Investing? on: July 04, 2017, 09:26:03 AM
So is BAT still a good token to buy in for mid-term investment or should I wait more until the market cap lowers enough, and invest in promising ICO's until then?
Pretty hard support at .16 cents

I'd still wait. I saw a post on this forum tho that said they have roadmap and news coming out however

Now price is already down to 0.13 cents range and it looks like now it reached to issue price. If the market condition becomes bad then we can expect to go down further so if anyone wants to invest then can start buying in small amounts.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: July 04, 2017, 09:13:30 AM
I don't think so, maybe just to learn how it works. But not going all into.
Young people can easily learn because they are good with new technology and although it's good to go "all in" in any investment but it's up to a certain investor if he can really be that risk taker to go all in. Mine, being an investor,  I sometimes think of going all in but I choose to diversify as it is the only way to minimize the risks.

I don't think it is a good idea to go all-in any single investment, ever though you're very young. We know that bitcoin future will be very bright but there is no guaranty for that so it is better to diversify your money instead of going all-in in one investment. If you like so much bitcoins then you can invest more in bitcoins but not all of your money in the single product.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Bounty] FundYourselfNow - Revolutionizing Crowdfunding on: July 03, 2017, 07:57:18 AM
Although FYN Project look so good , but a few man invest in this project ... Why?
For about half month , only 5% of your Token sales , about 530000 from 12.5M.
If end of crowdsale , a lot of Token remain in Fundyourselfnow. How much price of remain Token is sale in Market Huh

If you look at this thread, everyone is talking about their bounty program and no one is discussing the actual program. I also came here to find more details about the project and community feedback about this program.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: July 03, 2017, 07:49:30 AM
I predict a drop on Litecoin. Interest is over and no more news from LTC. Target 28 USD within 5 days.

As per your above message prices should go down by now but today it is up by almost 20%. Now it is trading above 45$ and I don't think prices will go down so much. Currently, the whole market is going down. We should take this advantage and collect most of your favourite coins for making a good profit in future.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this right time to buy bitcoin?? on: June 22, 2017, 09:09:49 AM
It is a good news and slowly it will increase the demand for bitcoins. But if you want to invest money then no one can suggest you correctly when you can start. So the best time is now not later. If you have decided to invest in these cryptocurrencies then better start today with a small amount and slowly build it in the longer run.
6  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: which is the best? Blockchain or Coinbase. on: June 22, 2017, 09:06:02 AM
Blockchain is best compared to these two sites because I don't like to keep my money in any exchange sites. We don't know when they will close the site or block accounts for some reasons. Earlier some exchanges were offering no fee facilities to send coins so I was using xapo for regular transactions but never stored my coins in those sites.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✔[ANN] NixonCoin |NIXON| X11 PoW/PoS | ✔ on: February 26, 2017, 01:48:16 PM
Nixon need to hit exchange, to start trade.
Yes. Some good exchange we need here.
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: December 19, 2013, 09:45:51 AM
Installed Bamt 1.2, using 8GB USB stick, 2 x Sapphire r9 280x cards - booted up no problem, but no ethernet connections configured...added one via the right hand menu, nothing doing..set network conf manually to set static address, no results. I am missing something, anyone throw some light on it?..Maybe it's something simple I missed. The same machine was running xubuntu, cgminer etc from USB with no problems before..so not hardware related..

Does BAMT not install with dhcp to pick up a network connection?.

And I did a quick check on drivers..I think 1.2 doesn't have the drivers needed for 280x cards, so I have to download them...but no good without ethernet...

UPDATE: seems the mobo needs an update of the lan driver..
http://rumorscity.com/2013/12/14/bamt-why-gigabyte-intel-z87-chipset-could-not-connect-to-the-internet/
will try that later and see if it works..

there is no BAMT 1.2

I just want to let you guys know about "SMOS-LTCRabbit-Edition" USB stick mining operating system. I guess this is a new mod of BAMT. I tested it today and it works great out of the box with my 7950's. I made some small modifications in the cgminer.conf file to use it with WeMineLTC. Running in 2 min.

Wow.. a hacked up version of "SMOS" which was just a hacked up version of BAMT that stole mining time from it's users.  SMOS so lazy he had to name it with four letters so the search and replace on BAMT wouldn't break things.

People were a bit too trusting to have ever used BAMT, but nice guy that I am, I didn't betray that trust despite a multitude of opportunities.   If you trust some guy who took BAMT, did a search and replace to SMOS, and installed a cron job to steal mining time... You're crazy.   If you trust somebody who then took that hack job and hacked it again?  You loco grande con queso.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SMOS linux 1.0 - Scrypt Mining Operating System on: November 19, 2013, 03:56:36 AM
I don't have it enough donations to can continue this. I will wait it sometime expecting some donatios so can continue this. I dont expect some big donations. Just for all users for one LTC so can pays server every 1. in month and bee on 0$ not -20$ every month.
When i get more then 100LTC i will contiune Smiley
I paid in last three month 50$, since i start about 300$

Don't hold your breath..  Lack of donations is what killed original BAMT.  It's just not worth the time to develop software for miners unless you only do it for fun.
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: May 12, 2013, 11:43:37 PM
Did you guys notice an update was pushed out today? What is it?
Code:
bamt5_fix_21.tar

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you wonder why there haven't been updates for a long time?
Do you wonder why version 0.6 never made it out of beta?

It's probably because you didn't donate to support the BAMT developer.

               1PoRYaGS56ksQmK7XXLurW3B2zwCAE8PRc

We donated 30 BTC to make the new version and now there isn't even a home page for our ad to display on.

Same here donated over 10BTC and sold him a 7970 really cheap. Never got my name up or a working version of BAMT that supports 7970's. Pretty Shitty if you ask me.

I didn't realize there were bad feelings about this.

All of the BTC donated towards the 7970 were used for exactly that.  I also put in all of the unmarked donations for a period of several months.
Absolutely everything that came in via donations went towards the card, i.e. I didn't make a dime for any of the work I had already put into BAMT.   I paid 60 BTC for the card, about $480 I believe.

It took me a couple more months to write version 0.6, which includes support for the 7970s.  I did release it for testing, but I never really got any feedback on it.   At the time it seemed that interest had moved on to other devices or away from mining altogether (this was back in the days were btc price was kind of stagnant around $8 iirc).  Very little chatter on IRC etc.  I just got the impression it was too late to matter.

So... how do we make this right?  I don't want anybody feeling shitty about things.  I can sell the card and send the $ back to whomever donated, or we can make 0.6 more visible, or.... ?

Edit - PS I didn't take the web site down, the DNS was donated by someone and they apparently did not renew it.  I forget who that was Sad

14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: April 23, 2013, 03:01:13 AM

Another way to force the rig into no overclocking at all is to copy the "noOC" file from /live/image/BAMT/CONTROL into the /live/image/BAMT/CONTROL/ACTIVE dir. Or you can do individual GPUs, you'll see all the files you can copy to that folder in the CONTROL dir. To remove that option, all you have to do is delete the file from that ACTIVE dir.

Also, if your rig is unstable and reboots, sometimes the management code (mother) will auto gen a file based on the specific GPU it had trouble with and put it in that ACTIVE dir, so that is a place to look if your wondering why it won't ever overclock again.

Lastly, I know you had a question about logs to look for, but I believe most of those services had been disabled as to reduce the number of writes to the USB stick for longevity. (IIRC) There might be one, but you'll have to hunt for it in the readme.

I'm not 100% sure, as I have not looked very closely at the perl code written by lodcrappo, but I'm not 100% sure that the /BAMT/CONTROL/ACTIVE stuff works with cgminer.  I was under the impression that it only worked when you used phoenix as the miner.  overclocking would be handled by atitweak as a seperate process when using phoenix.  since cgminer has it's own built in overclocking/fan control stuff noOC doesn't work.

Again, I'm not 100% sure of that.

noOC only stops BAMT from overclocking.  if you have configured cgminer to do overclocking, you will have to disable that manually.

Thank you very much ^^

I have other question, my PC are reseting each 6 or 7 hours... and my graphic card stopped mining... where i can read some log about this? So i can knows why this happen and i will try fix that.

all logs go to ram.  they are lost on reboot.  this is so your usb key doesn't stop working in a few days.

you can set up a syslog server and send the log there if you'd like, but they are unlikely to contain anything of value anyway.

99.9% chance that you are overclocking too much, or you have inadequate cooling, or inadequate power, or your hardware is just faulty.  run at stock and see if problems go away.

Nope... not sure what the story is with that domain.

Whoa, he speaks. Grin Good to hear from you. How you been man?

Good, busy, insanity surrounds me and threatens to consume all of my waking moments.

And you?
17  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: April 14, 2013, 01:53:44 PM

I would put up .2 bitcoin to renew your domain... But I also saw bamtlinux.org is that you?

Nope... not sure what the story is with that domain.

A new fix is born!  bamt5_fix_21.tar

Thank you!  I tried a version of .6 of BAMT.  It at least worked with the 7870 card I was mucking with.  Would love to see continued work of this distribution.  I'll hit you with a donation.  Thanks for your effort!!!

Yes, fix 21 is just to repair mother from fix 20 which makes her murder newer versions of cgminer every minute or so.  Hopefully makes life with BAMT a bit less painful.

My guess is we are not going to see it.  It's been almost a year with nothing.

I haven't given up on finishing it, but I also can't justify putting much time into it.  Maybe someday I'll get motivated.

Failing that, all of the source is included on every ISO.  Anyone anywhere that ever feels like spending their time improving or adding to it is more than welcome.  It's all FOSS.

20  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: November 26, 2012, 08:21:12 PM
I have the link. I will ask Lod if I can Post it.

you can share it all you want, but i can not support it and anything may change before a supported version comes out. actually several things have changed already.  it does come with a money back guarantee though.  unless anyone actually donates anything for it.  then it doesn't.
