221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Ouya Now Accepts Bitcoin As Payment on: December 05, 2013, 04:19:37 PM
Ouya has sold over 100k consoles in only 6 months.  The games are actually getting quite a bit better as developers now have had 6 months to work on things.  This is somewhat big news I would say.  Another major US merchant accepting bitcoin.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BREAKING: Ouya Now Accepts Bitcoin As Payment on: December 05, 2013, 01:38:05 PM
This is awesome news.  The popular video game system which started from a Kickstarter 2 years ago now accepts Bitcoin as a payment option.  This really shoots things into the mainstream:

Has anyone here got a printer?

Thought this was a cool post.  The other day we were discussing 2 major tech breakthroughs, one being 3D Printing, the other of course Bitcoin.  Here is what happens when the 2 collide:

225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdfunding and Bitcoin? The Tag Team to Kill The Banks! on: November 30, 2013, 03:19:48 PM
I think that the effects of both markets are just now starting to hit the Banks hard.  Watch the next 12 months because equity funding will soon be legal for the everyday man within the next 2-3 months, and Bitcoin is getting the attention it deserves as well.  The banks better be prepared for this title wave in my opinion.

Let's get back on topic?  Who has a 3D Printer, and if so which is it?
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin millionaires, tell us your story! on: November 25, 2013, 03:10:05 PM
My goal is to be set in for life if for some reason I decided not to work any longer.  It's nice to have the option. Much less worry!
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin millionaires, tell us your story! on: November 25, 2013, 03:52:07 AM
A million bucks isn't enough to retire on.  Heck, I'm 32 and worth close to $3 million (Not from BTC), yet I still work my butt off everyday, albeit for myself.  If I was 70 maybe then I would consider retiring, but a lot can happen in the next 40 years.  Need to keep working to make sure I have the life I want, and for my sanity's sake as well lol.

The metal one I posted a link to was made by Solidconcepts.  It uses metal sintering, basically a laser that follows metal powder, which melts it to the rest of the structure.  The metal one is totally legit and was printed last month.
230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E Crazy International Wire fees on: November 25, 2013, 02:51:29 AM
Hmm I wonder if they are fixed costs or variable for the most part.  The one wire was $3k.  I wonder if I sent $10k if it would be as large a percentage I lose.

Does anyone have any experience wiring them anything greater than $10k?

btctraderr, what percentage did they take out?
232  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E Crazy International Wire fees on: November 25, 2013, 12:37:27 AM
Anyone?
233  Economy / Service Discussion / BTC-E Crazy International Wire fees on: November 24, 2013, 02:00:23 PM
On their website they say there is a fee of 1% on international wires.  I wired $3,000 from my US account.  Got it in BTC-e 3 days later, but only $2831.  That's a 5.6% fee.  Anyone know why they have charged me so much?  I wish their support was better.  anyone have similar issues?

That gun is amateurish compared to this think which was just printed out using metal sintering:  http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.php?524-3d-Printed-Metal-Gun&highlight=metal

Are there other free places to advertise services?
236  Other / Off-topic / 3D Printing on: November 23, 2013, 04:13:36 PM
How many of you guys have 3D Printers?  I am amazed by the technology for some reason.  It seems as if things are developing extremely fast in this sector.

I have been reading up a lot on the 3D Print forum http://3dprintboard.com/forum.php

You know that within 5-7 years they will likely be able to 3D Print human organs.  Within 10 years a Human Heart.   There are also scientists working on 3D Molecular printing which means you could theoretically put an apple, a plastic bag, and a cardboard box into a machine and it will break the material up into molecules, and then reform it into something else like a toilet.  Pretty crazy, and something like that may only be 25 years off!

Who here has a 3d printer and what make?  I have a Makerbot Replicator 2
237  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e USD Deposits not working on: November 23, 2013, 04:07:13 PM
They do take out larger than 1%.  I wired 3k and they only credited me with 2831.  Nearly 5.6%.  I am guessing perhaps something with the exchange rate and their bank fees.  But still, they should not be advertising 1% when they are taking 5+

240  Economy / Service Discussion / CoinBase - Anyone Sell Large Quantities of Bitcoin there? on: November 20, 2013, 07:22:16 PM
I'm considering transferring my mtgox BTC there and selling them for a US bank wire.  Upwards of $200k....

Anyone have experience with Coinbase on large sells like that?
