From my experience(without spamming the forum, without creating multiple accounts and without buying the merits(see my merits, lol)), it's possible to earn thousands.
The thing is, it's not up to what amount we get but it's up to how much it got converted later. For example, I had received $125 worth tokens for one the project. When I hold it for one year, it became $4000 worth tokens.
So it's how project behaves in project.
Summary, I still see every effort worthy for any bounty programs.

Even though at the moment dapps are moving to bsc or trim from eth platform, due to its huge transaction fee, I don't think it will be completely out. I am sure soon the issue of high fees will be resolved. ETH is very attractive to dapps due to its scalability, compatibility and ease of use. So the glory will be back.

From my point of view, even though btc and altcoins are some what similar with respect to the blockchain technology, there should not be dependency. However, being father of cryptocurrency, and due to market capitalization, btc and altcoins are logically dependent. This has created huge dominance by btc and thus it actually drives entire market.
