2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / is Paradise coin a good investment to make the pro's and con's on: October 19, 2018, 05:27:39 PM
so a few weeks back i got a dm ad from some random on discord and bc I saw the words"dump protection" I thought probably a scam but let's see what it's about. so I join the server. and ask a few questions namely how does the dump protection work. what they told me was they were going to limit the supply of the coin so that it would be very had to accumulate enough coins to do real damage to the price.
so after that, I did a little research on the coin in question. so they have a definite business model.
and it's one of the best i have seen in a long time.

the plan is based on the porn industry. namely the live cam and advertising end of it. the idea being that PRD is used as the payment method for the live cams. this not only means there is a definite product to sell (a very good sign if you ask me this early in a project) but also means that there is no "explaining" need about a certain bill on your credit card. as for the advertising end, PRD's devs plan to have ads running on the live cam site that will be paid for with PRD increasing demand for the coin. but one thing i noticed in the white paper (check it out here it's a good read https://www.prdcore.com/#whitepaper) was that porn sites only get 5% of the ad revenue made on their own site which i was a bit shocked at. one other thing that really stood out to me was the idea of paying people on the live cam site every time they were served an ad. according to the white paper 46% of advertising fees go to the visitors, 46% goes to host sites and 8% goes towards maintenance and upkeep of the live cam site. which would mean you could get paid to sit on your ass and watch porn all day long, what a world we live in ay.

one of the big talking points is the support for Zerocoin protocol a very interesting topic, in a nutshell, the Zerocoin protocol is used to privatise tx's.

as of now, PRD coin has 44 master nodes.
and are in the pre-sale phase. they have about 87% of the BTC need to get listed on cryptopia according to the dev team they have already been accepted and will be listed on payment

now one of the best parts is if you buy a master node you get free lifetime access to the live cam site.

some other details i think are worth putting in here is the coin specs

algo used is Quark it's POS sorry GPU miners
block time is 60 sec
block reward is 0.5 PRD (0.1 to POS and 0.4 to MN's)
premine was 152,000 PRD (0.72%)
total supply is 21,000,000
mature time for staking is 20 blocks
Zerocoin protocol is supported (if you don't know what that is definition check it out)
MN collateral is 1,000PRD

that's all the pro's but as with anything lets weigh up the con's

the only real con I can think of is that at this time there is no exchange listing. which means there is no set price meaning you could be overpaying for a worthless coin. but on the other hand, you could be underpaying and making a huge return when the listing comes around.

my personal judgement was to invest a bit of btc into the project. but it's up to you.
