I am at wits end with this cpu miner. latest bios for MSI x470 gaming plus max. i've attempted bios oc via DRAM calculator. no success. It just crashes when appling adjusted dram timing and I have to reset to basic. Ryzen Master closes with error anytime I attempt to open and make oc adjustments. I attempted Clocktuner 2.0. Immediately I receive messages of "operating system does not see CPPC core tags, CPPC, CBP and Cool and quiet and perferred cores should be enabled. I've gone into bios and enabled CPPC, can't locate CBP or Cool and quiet mode. Even subtle OC of CPU and Voltage only lets me achieve 9100Khs on xmrig. I'm not sure if Windows if not verifiing CPPC or what. Just know I am at a loss. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. New Windows 10 version, latested mobo bios. This thing should be atleast doing 11000 khs without any OC. Super puzzled.

Okay you need to clock the cpu miner use ryzen master software. set freq to 3300 and set volts to 1.1 it gives a constant temp reading for the cpu Mine stay at 60c and do 10500-11000 for days on end. if you drift up near 85c they will throttle. what is your cooler. other option is a killer diller cooler and they are far and few in-between as many water coolers cover only 90% of the chip I use this huge air cooler https://www.amazon.com/quiet-Dark-Rock-BK022-Cooler/dp/B07BY6F8D9/ref=sr_1_1?as it covers the chip Will give this a shot. I have been trying to set the freq and volts and dram timing in the mobo bios, but apparetly that doesnt help me any. I will attempt to OC in Ryzen master when I have a chance again. I have the stock Wrath Prism cooler, but since it only hashes at 9200khs the cpu doesnt get above 51C degrees. I never gets above 51C degrees for it to have to throttle.

Need some help if anyone can offer it. I have pulled countless youtube videos, reddit forums research and still cant get the CPU overclocking down for this. I have the following hardware:
MSI x470 Gaming plus max MOBO Ryzen 3900x cpu Wrath Prism cooler 2 8gb Consair Vengance 3600mhz DDR4 CL18 RAM msi 570 4gb Gpu running windows XMRig 6.7.0 mining software Huge pages enabled.
I have input RAM info into DRAM calculator to get the timing for the Ram. When I enter those timing and subtiming into the MOBO bios, on reboot it fails and I have to reset to default. I've also just done simple OC like increase CPU speed from 3.8mhz to 4.1mhz. changed cpu voltage to 1.25 and Ram voltage to 1.25. None of this seems to increase the hashrate of the 3900x. It starts out at 8700khs and only increases to 9136khs. That is the highest I can get.
Note: When I use XMRig benchmark test the cpu get 12517khs. I dont understand why when I run the miner it only obtains 9100-9200khs. It never mines above 9200khs and the CPU temp never gets above 52C degrees.
By chance is the sticks of RAM to high for this cpu... Should i have gone with 3400 0r 3200 mhz ram?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I need some help. I can't get my Ryzen 3900x to mine monero on RandomX any higher than 9200khs. I have the following set up...
MSI X470 Max Ryzen 3900x 2 8gb Consair Vengence 3600mhz CL18 Ram 570 4gb card. windows 10
I've tried stock CPU settings.
I've done the DRAM calculator... Anytime I enter in the timings from the calculator, the Memory just locks up and doesn't boot up into Windows 10.
I've done simple adjustments like OC the CPU from 3800mhz to 4100mhz.
Just looking for proper set up of timing to make this CPU mine atleast over 11000 khs.
Thanks in advance

Using TRM 0.8.1 to mine Raven on Kawpow. Got a Powercolor 470 4gb with following settings. Core 1100/850 and memory 2000/850. the max I can get is 7.5mhs... regardless of moving core up to 1150, 1175, 1200, and increasing voltage 900mhz, 950, 1000 ect. Actually when I increase the core voltage to 950 and 1000 it actually starts to drop hashrate. I have --enable_compute in bat. Looking for any advise to increase to 10-11mhs.
Note: when using the --prog_height=937863 simulation mode with the above setting 1100/850 2000/850 the gpu obtains 11.4mhs.
Not sure what im doing wrong but if in simulation mode it achieves 11mhs but can only achieve 7.5mhs when actually mining.
Thanks for any assistance.
bat file
teamredminer.exe -a kawpow -o stratum+tcp://rvn.2miners.com:6060 -u wallet -p x --prog_config=A440 --enable_compute pause

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethermine profitability shooting up like crazy!

Just for reference back in December 2018 my weekly payout on Ethermine peaked at 0.998. I just barely missed making the 1 ETH per week payout. This was with 1.3 GH/S.
Well nice surprise going on now as the ETH price is dropping. All of a sudden my profitability has picked up and I am now estimated to make 1.05 ETH per week! That's with 1.4 GH/S. We'll see if it holds. But I can see the unpaid balance ticking up faster with same amount of shares. Did the pool just get lucky?

Man the 470 4gb card I have only pushes 7.5mhs on raven with 1100/850 core and 2000/850 memory. Any OC beyond that maybe gets me 7.6. Is there any bios flashing needed to achieve higher on kawpow?
You dont need mod bios for raven. just run it with teamredminer. maybe 1st start with default settings then try limit power from wattman, mine rx470 4g gets straight away 12.5-13mhs but i do limit power because kawpaw burns alot and makes my gpus hotter then i get 11.5-11.7mhs I have a powercolor 470 4gb with hynix memory. 1100/850 core and 2000/850 memory. I cant get the card above 7.5mhs on raven. Why is this card so subpar and cant achieve 11-13mhs

Sorry guys, my question might sound dump, I don't have a wattmeter here but I want to know the watt that motherboards can consume when using then for gpu mining, that is Not using their CPU to mine, only gpu, can you give an estimate? thanks
Roughly 60-75 watts. Thats power draw on boot up of MOBO, CPU, GPU and PSU.

I am new to PhoenixMiner so please go easy on me as I have a couple questions Is there a way to see when the last share was found?(besides scrolling back up the screen or looking at the log file) I am running rx580 cards -rxboost is working fine " xxxx.xx.xx:00:18:35.996: hwmc GPU1: set VRAM refresh rate -rxboost 30 (equal to -vmr 29)" but I see nothing indicating straps are being applied. Will I get a notice or is it just working and I dont see it? Thanks What is the cards performance? What MHS are/is it producing?

Is anyone else having trouble controlling fan speed in batch file? I have -fcm 2 and have -fanmin 50, 60, 70, ect... but some of the cards just randomly run the fan based off temp. I have various rx5700. The ones that seem to not want to play along with batch file command are MSI Gaming, Sapphire Pulse and Powercolor red dragon. This all started when I started running 5.5b and installed newer drivers like 20.5.1 and 20.11.2. When running 5.3 and 5.4 with 19.x.x drivers the fan controls were excellent.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Hashrate drop on Polaris 8GB cards?

Guys, I have a rig with RX 470 8GB cards mining ETH and they were running at around 30MH/s each, but today I noticed a drop in hasrate to around 29-29.5 on all of them. Surely, they should not be affected by the increased DAG size yet? Any of you noticed the same? The current driver version is 18.5.1. All cards are BIOS modded. I wonder if a higher driver version will bring hashrate back up to 30? I already checked ping rates and they are unchanged. EDIT: I am using Phoenixminer 5.1c
Not the same cards but both my RX5700 rigs dropped a total of 2.x mhs for no reason about 1-2 weeks ago. So about the same drop of 0.5mhs per card. I was running phx 4.9. switched to 5.3 and it didn't change. Only explanation is indeed DAG size.
