1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: May 25, 2023, 04:33:35 AM
I downloaded the wallet. Cant seem to get a connection. Can you share your .conf or be willing to upload your blockchain?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLC] CoiLedCoin: sorry but CLC is NOT dead, and IS trading... on: June 04, 2021, 08:44:32 PM
I am not very familiar with Stellar. I have mined some CLC and as of right now am merge mining. I am using command line wallet, but last time I opened the GUI wallet it did show the block confirmation pretty high. How does the selling work on Stellar with CLC block confirmations being as high as they are. Is it a token backed by a reserve balance of CLC?

Is this correct?

Should be. That is my node that has been running for about a year now.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]MAKE JACKPOTCOIN GREAT AGAIN! on: October 02, 2020, 11:41:37 PM
I have had a wallet running on a VPS hoping for a peer but still at block 0. If anyone has some nodes it would be much appreciated.
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Exchange] GRAVIEX Exchange: low fees, fast withdrawals, high security on: August 11, 2020, 10:11:38 PM
Mining Dutch mining pool was mining GIO. It is a well known mining pool that mostly mines coins just when their profitability is higher which is when the difficulty for mining is relatively low compared to the average difficulty for the coin. At those times Mining Dutch throws as much mining power available for the algorithm on the coin. This pool-hopping abuses mining so that the profitability is lowered for those mining on other pools.
Now when you can’t deposit GIO to Graviex exchange, Mining Dutch can't profit from mining GIO.
This means that if you are a bag holder of GIO coins you can’t deposit to Graviex and sell your GIO. Will this go on indefinitely so that for bagholders of GIO the GIO coins are worthless?

https://www.mining-dutch.nl/
https://www.mining-dutch.nl/pools/graviocoin.php?page=login

The wallet is disabled for swap execution as soon as the swap is completed, GIO input will be enabled

Disabled for months with next to no updates? There has been considerable mining happening for months even though the wallet has been disabled. That means that a group of people, or an entity, are mining for no profit. It makes me think that you guy are doing something shady behind the scenes.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: July 25, 2020, 07:53:16 PM
That did the trick. I was able to get it synced in about 10 minutes with that last file(was only about 4 hours behind). Thank you very much.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: July 24, 2020, 06:01:15 PM
I appreciate all the bootstrap files from everyone. I am having trouble getting the wallet to actually stay open long enough for it to import the entire file. Would anyone mind just zipping their data file so that we dont have to import via bootstrap. I don't think the wallet is up to the task. My computer is not slow by any means and after two days, the wallet decides to crash (This has happened multiple times). This wouldn't be a problem if it didnt corrupt the data, resulting in assertion errors. It will not reindex either, so I am forced to just start over. Thank you in advance.

Here's the database files zipped (with 7zip) as requested. You'll still need the .dat file present in order for it to work so I think you can probably just rename the bootstrap.dat to blk-v2-0001.dat hopefully that'll work with these db files. You may also need to reindex as the bootstrap.dat is older than these db files which I zipped a few minutes ago updated to block #3385753. If the renamed bootstrap.dat I uploaded earlier doesn't work with these db files, let me know.

Just hoping I haven't forked as I can't get many (any) connections right now and my coins have tried staking multiple times since July 19th but none have successfully gone through (orphaned I guess).

Thank you for the time you put into this. It did not work. Just give the failed to load blkindex.dat error. Could you include your blk-v2-0001.dat.

In the meantime I will try some things on a VPS. The daemon may be better equipped.

9  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: VanitySearch (Yet another address prefix finder) on: July 14, 2020, 06:39:23 PM
Will this search for a prefix that is assigned to another coin. Vanitygen can do this with the -X command, which allows for prefix version. Does this have anything similar?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BTE] The Bytecoin Information Thread on: July 12, 2020, 07:19:53 PM
Forgot to mention I'm mining. Just a few blocks now and then.

That is great. Have to keep the block chain moving. I mined a bit a month ago on a S3+ and it was pretty smooth. Did you set up your own pool?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BTE] The Bytecoin Information Thread on: July 12, 2020, 03:15:25 AM
I'm connected; two nodes, yes? Your kitty is handsome.

I have two nodes running on separate servers. One may drop every now and then, but there should always be one running.

Any new nodes for this coin?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BTE] The Bytecoin Information Thread on: June 11, 2020, 09:20:28 PM
I did finally get the block chain from one source. I could never connect to the seed nodes that were mentioned in this thread. In case anyone is looking to download the block chain I have two nodes set up.

addnode=62.171.180.0
addnode=164.68.101.222

I also saw someone asking for a wallet. I have compiled the linux qt and daemon on 16.04. I used the source (0.8.1) that was posted on the first page the the ANN. I did see some talk about a newer version (0.8.3) but could not find a link. At any rate, here a link to those wallets.

https://mega.nz/file/bBJg2KQZ#t3PMFXqNO3CS6bKd7LQNIFzp4HmvS_8K1A9XV9ZepyQ

I would post the block chain but it downloaded pretty darn fast. When I tested the QT wallet, it did not take very long at all.

Do you still have a node running? I cannot seem to find any connections using the aforementioned nodes.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DEAD] Coiledcoin - yet another cryptocurrency, but with OP_EVAL! on: June 11, 2020, 12:31:05 AM
I was able to mine some. I merge mined it for a bit and it was working without any issues. If anyone would like some to play around with, give me your address.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DEAD] Coiledcoin - yet another cryptocurrency, but with OP_EVAL! on: June 09, 2020, 10:09:25 PM

Thanks for the download links.
I really don't remember the errors it was 3+ months ago. I kind of remember this but it could be wrong:
The 14.04 which I admit had a lot of oddball stuff installed looked like it compiled but it would not run. Gave a bunch of errors.
The 18.04 gave a ton of cannot find this package or dependency errors.

Work was getting busy with a before lock-down rush so I never did anything more. If I have time I will spin up the VMs that I tried to do it on and see what errors I got.

Thanks again and stay safe.

-Dave

No worries. Let me know if you have any issues with those files. I compiled on a VPS and then ran them on a VM on my windows machine. So it should work fine as long as you get all the depends. Also, replaced the previous wallet links with a Mega link. The others expire after 30 days and I want it to be available longer.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DBL] Doubloons: Pirate Currency on: June 09, 2020, 10:02:12 PM
I did see the same. The new Ver. stops at around 260k and the original source, ver. 1 is at 1,526,779.

Can you open your debug.log and see what is happening after that last block on the most recent version?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DEAD] Coiledcoin - yet another cryptocurrency, but with OP_EVAL! on: June 09, 2020, 09:29:23 PM
I was able to compile. Does anyone have any nodes?

Did you use the directions that gjhiggins posted or some other method?

I tried following the steps that he posted but it did not work. Then corona happened and I have had no time to really dig into it. Probably something that I did wrong but till I can carve out a couple of hours of free time it just is not going to happen
Also, what OS?

-Dave

I just made the daemon with the standard commands
Code:
make -f makefile.unix

Out of curiosity, I just tried to compile the linux qt wallet. I was able to compile on 16.04 just fine. To be honest, I did not do anything out the ordinary. I just ran

Code:
qmake
make

Here is a link that contains the qt wallet built on 16.04 and I also included the daemon.

https://mega.nz/file/aEAS2AwQ#oHNoHiK8v2yZi85rf_gmVJ3DNovvEprpLsOo4VAYJgo

Just so that we have some documentation for others who may have issues in the future. Can you please let us know what errors you came across, so that we can provide some solutions.

If anyone can build a windows wallet, it would be greatly appreciated.

LFM.knotwork.com aka DVCstable01.dvcnode.org

It will know of others presumably.

It runs all my coins so should have the other related coins too.

Thank you. I was able to get it synced. 22GB+ Blockchain, took about a week. I have two more nodes that can help speed up any other users looking to download the blockchain.
