1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Experimental creative betting service on: July 11, 2020, 04:24:53 AM
Hi,

I'm BM, a very nice and polite guy.

I created an experimental creative betting service.

Will I (the admin of below Telegram group) receive a minimum of 30 images of fish from 30 different Telegram accounts (sent into the below Telegram group, not as PM) on or before the 18th of July 2020 (Tokyo Time)?

If you want to bet YES then send ETH to this address:
0xaDA9eDB16C18463a07cC64bC32DA620728b9b2b2

If you want to bet NO then send ETH to this address:
0x5727f61d5F54C7b558E601557c42039969416946

The winners will share the losers funds proportionally. Later if this experiment is successful I will try to make more advanced algorithms for the business logic.

Telegram group is:

http://t.me/bitcoinmeetups1

Good luck

Bmeet

Disclaimer: This is an experimental service. No guarantees about anything. Participate 100% on your own risk.
2  Economy / Games and rounds / Tip me and I will tip others too on: May 14, 2020, 07:09:50 AM
Tip me and I will tip others too. You can send any ERC-20 token to my ethereum address (Moons and Bricks have special rules, see below). I will try to use 70% of those tokens to tip other Ethereum addresses. Please note this is an experimental service and maybe I will not continue forever. But as of today 2020-05-14 the service is still valid.

IMPORTANT! Do not expect anything back, you can't be 100% sure that you are the one that will receive a random token in return.

IMPORTANT! You can send ANY token, it doesn't have to be a valuable token, ANY ERC-20 token is accepted.

ETH/ERC20 Tokens:

0x119c26cD0091E3094d7d539E1ED5FE805d474706

If you just want to support me you can also send Bitcoin here but Bitcoins will not be tipped to others as they are not compatible with ETH/ERC-20:

bc1qvtekh9xsmclda0z2vsh95n6kk4wmula5709w89

You can also send moons and bricks but I do not promise to tip a specific amount of those to others, like I do with any other ERC-20 token.

Disclaimer: This is an experimental service, it might not work, it might get abandoned at any time, just try it if you don't care if it doesn't work.
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Random Token Exchange. An idea. on: May 09, 2020, 11:48:44 AM
I agree with Vod's questions.
2 might be an even greater problem. Without a pre-existing whitelist or something like that, whats stopping me from creating a random erc-20 token and include it in a smart contract. In the end, I might receive something that is not useless?

2. Nothing is stopping you from creating a random ERC-20 token, sending it to the contract and then receiving a random ERC-20 token back. That's the way it works.

Yes, in the end maybe you receive something valuable.

Look at publish0x. Even when people make only a miniscule amount of money from tips it still really invigorates and encourages the community.

Fun fact: I contacted Ivan, the owner of publish0x and suggested that they should allow anyone to distribute any tokens on their playform but he isn't ready for that yet. The thing is I think the first guys who do this correctly could benefit immensly from it.

(Ideally my idea should be implemented into a social media platform natively but it's far easier to just write a smart contract and promote it online than starting a whole new social media platform).

This will happen. Question is only who builds it first.

I would send all the tokens on my wallet, I’ve collected a lot of crap for the whole time.

Yes, I would also be happy to have someone to exchange tokens with in an easy way.
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Random Token Exchange. An idea. on: May 09, 2020, 11:42:15 AM
Random Token Exchange. An idea.
...people exchange random tokens with each other.

Hey BM,

1) Can you clarify the sentence containing random?   Do people not control the tokens they send?

2) How will you choose which tokens to include in this random selection?  It would have to be automated, or else you would face constant accusations.

I have more questions, but I need those answered first.  Smiley

1. By random I mean anyone can send any token in any amount, even if they have been recently minted and still are unlisted.

2. All tokens are accepted. Every single one.
6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Random Token Exchange. An idea. on: May 09, 2020, 11:36:36 AM
Will there be any parity in the total supply of tokens allowed for swap? I don't want to have 100 X tokens for my 100 Y tokens when the supply of X tokens is 10M and of Y tokens is 1B, right?

Will there be any minimum trading volume constraint for the tokens allowed? I don't want to have 100 freshly created X tokens for my 100 Y tokens which are into existence from 3 years and have $100K volume on other exchanges, right?

I can sense an interesting venture into your idea but it still needs so much refining to develop into something tangible.

In its basic form, anyone can send any token and you never know what you receive back. That is a good starting point because it's simple to implement and easy to understand. But after that it's also possible to make all kinds of variations and finetuning the parameters. I would just like to get something out there as quickly as possible and I estimate that it wouldn't take more than a few hours to write and deploy a contract like this, possibly a day or two.

No, you are slightly wrong. This is easy to develop into something tangible but it's true that the basic idea could be refined and altered in many ways afterwards.

Random Token Exchange. An idea.

Hi,

I'm BM, a very nice and polite guy.

I've had an idea for a long, long time about a service where people exchange random tokens with each other. This could be done with ERC-20 tokens.

So we should design a smart contract which does this:

1. User A sends any random token to the smart contract.
2. The contract hold on to the tokens.
3. When user B sends any random tokens to the smart contract then user A will receive those tokens.
4. When user C sends any random tokens to the smart contract then user B will receive those tokens.

And so on. Every user also have to send a little bit of ETH to the contract to cover the transaction fees when they receive tokens from the contract.

So where I was stuck for a long time was how to solve the liquidity problem and profitability problem.
I. e. all these new tokens would have very low liquidity and it is not always clear where profitability would come from.

But now with uniswap 2 they will solve exactly that problem.

So users can just exchange tokens merrily and then send all their new tokens to the liquidity pools. They never know which tokens will become profitable, it's a numbers game. But statistically some tokens will have trades and profits will be made.

Actually this is a huge, huge idea. I predict a) that a system like this will eventually create billions of dollars of value (equivalent, dollar is hopefully gone soon) and b) this is how the world's first real non-tax funded UBI will be created.

This is the most important and fundamental idea in crypto space right now and in the world of finance.

Who's with me? Who wants to start coding, networking and building this?

BM

Update: I have received more than the average amount of feedback on this post, which was also cross-posted on Reddit and some encouragement too so I think this idea is resonating with the community. Let's build it. Who wants to be a billionaire : )?

Update 2: In its basic form, anyone can send any token and you never know what you receive back.

What is this all about I just visited and saw it was an old subreddit with a random post. What happened when posted our ETH addresss

I don't know. Maybe we can try sending tokens to each other. It's just an experiment.

I think the problem with BTC and ETH is you can't send a message to the address owners unless you use another platform.

Telegram TON was trying to solve that problem but then they got shot down by the evil SEC.

Anyway, if you want to run some tests and experiments you can post your address in that old subreddit. As I said it's just an experiment and no profit is guaranteed.

BM's Crypto Experiment (Non-profit, welcome to join)

READ THIS FIRST: These experiments are non-profit in the sense that you should just participate if you think it would be fun to try it. So there is no profit guaranteed. I always have ideas about what the crypto community could do but it's so complicated to distribute tokens so I will try to make some non-profit projects instead this time.

About me: I'm BM, a super genius but also a very nice and polite guy.

Project 1:

Post your ETH address in this subreddit:

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Storytelling and writing service on: March 16, 2020, 07:23:12 AM
Hello,

I am happy to announce that my lifelong quest of learning to write fiction finally seems to have come to fruition. Had writer's block my whole life and always ran out of words when I most needed them.

Anyway so I figured out a way to free myself from the shackles of writer's block. So now I am simultaneously in a situation where I've lost a lot of money due to the market crash and I need to make some funds to support myself. I am hereby offering a storytelling and writing service. Negotiable fees. ETH and BTC addresses will be announced in the next few thread updates. Also accept tokens and other alts.

Please contact me if you need a story or writing services. I consider myself to be the greatest living writer in the world at the moment. Here's a sample.

Joey's Garage

Joey's Garage was where he used to repair old motorbikes. He didn't have a girlfriend at the moment so he spent all the time repairing old motorbikes. One day an alien landed outside his garage.
"Hi Earthling", the alien said. "I'm a really friendly species".
But Joey was hiding behind his coach and didn't understand a single word the alien said to him.
The alien sat down in the sofa and made itself comfortable. "Ah", it sighed in relief in the red sofa.
Joey came up from behind the coach. "What... Are you doing here?" he said.
The alien replied again but again Joey couldn't understand a single word.
"Oh sorry, I forgot to turn on the translator", the alien said and clicked a button. "Here, is that better"? it said.
"I... I can understand you", Joey said.
Joey's cat walked into the room, coming back from outside.
"Here, can I take a selfie with you?" the alien said, pulled out a selfie stick and turned around to take a selfie with Joey.
"So Earthling, I left my planet and I'm going to move into this neighbourhood", the alien said. "Capisce?"
Joey was dumbfounded. But he was a cool guy so he started to chillax after a while.
"Excuse me", the alien said and pulled a big chunk of wool out of his giant blue ears.
"What did you do that for? Why do you have wool in your ears", Joey said.
"Uhm, it's a trick I do sometimes, the alien said. I guess I kind of want attention. My name is Barnie by the way. Nice to meet you."
"Do you know any more tricks", Joey said.
"I can play the trumpet", Barnie said.
"I've come a long way", Barnie said again. "Do you have some snacks and soda?"
"Hang on, let me check in the fridge", Joey said.
"Uups, it's empty. Forgot to buy stuff while repairing the motorbike again."
"That old thing", Barnie said. "Would you mind if I put a small space engine on it? It will blast through space at 2 million miles per hour at least".
"Interesting", Joey said, cautiously. "Let me think about the consequences first".
"Say, this is a comfortable sofa the alien said", stretched out and soon fell asleep.
"Great, what do I do now", Joey thought.
He returned to the motorbike and continued repairing it.

OP Updated!

I am happy with this initiative, the visual content will boost confidence in cryptocurrency as you will achieve profits but not hurry to get them.
It is better for you to gain credibility and trust as it is much more important than a quick profit and you will notice that you have achieved the profit over time.
Name of the channel and more details will be announced later. Open for suggestions on how to monetize, profit sharing, token issuance and so on.

Regarding the content, you can post about it in this forum and we will help you in reaching the best content.
I don’t know if creating a shared YouTube channel against YouTube ToS.
Don't think about creating tokes, ICO, IEO, but rather, BTC donation will work fine.

You will not make much profit but fame will bring you a lot of money.

Yes, you seem to understand what I'm trying to do. I don't think this is against the YouTube ToS. For example there is a channel called "Asian Boss" and they have street interviewers who make videos in many different countries. Then you have "Omeleto" and "Dust" which both publish videos by a variety of directors. So something like that is what I'm thinking of. Feel free to add me as a buddy on Telegram.

Shared YouTube Channel

Hi,

I want to make a shared YouTube channel where we post content, comedy, crypto related info nuggets and so on.

I have been trying to learn how to do creative writing myself for a long time and I think hopefully I'm ready for an endeavour such as this now. I would probably do both some of the curation and post some of the original content myself.

If you want to submit a video to the channel you can send it to my Telegram @bmeetx

To ensure that you are sending only original content you should say this in the beginning of the video:

"Bitcoinmeetups rocks!"

Name of the channel and more details will be announced later. Open for suggestions on how to monetize, profit sharing, token issuance and so on.

Story of the week! NEW

This week featured video will be a story about three golden clowns from another planet. On their planet they live in symbiosis with hamsters so each clown has a hamster living inside its mouth. It's not a fake clown face either but a real one that cannot be removed. They also always sleep in cocoons.

Idea 1) No, this is how it would work (OP updated). It is a social media platform, users don't have to do anything except posting content if they want:

That is exactly what I meant... They post their usual stuff on your platform and other users have the option to tip them instead of liking/upvoting and this tip comes from token issuers who want their token distributed. I do get your idea but it can be exploited pretty easily and doesn't ensure a fair distribution of the tokens. Fair distribution is a hard problem to solve without KYC... There are certain ways to limit 1 account per person but they all have their shortcomings... I still don't see what value it brings to the table besides being a middle man in airdrops... Anyway, Good luck with it if you decide to pursue it...

This idea about fair distribution might be overthinking it. I remember something Adam Back said about Bitcoin a long time ago. He was trying to solve the problem of Bitcoin being deflationary for a long time, instead of being an early investor, which he regretted later.

This problem doesn't need fixing. As long as everybody gets something it doesn't matter if some people get a lot. Use open API's and open source all the backend codebase and let everyone try to exploit or fork the platform as much as they want. The important thing is that the users themselves can moderate the timelines instead of centralized admins doing it for them.
18  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have a list of ideas for inventions and tools, can I post it here? on: February 18, 2020, 06:06:42 AM

I would like to thank you for that, because it may also help me and other crypto community. You're so kind to shared your knowledge to us, if other's? they want to post it in other platform to earned a big profit. I'll hope it may help more people to understand bitcoins and crypto currencies. But there are some information are so exaggerated because the other ideas are not related in crypto. I'll use some of your tips that may related to me. Once again, Thank you very much.

Do you know some better platform to post ideas like these?
19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have a list of ideas for inventions and tools, can I post it here? on: February 18, 2020, 06:01:28 AM
Hmm, So your Idea 1 is basically an airdrop website in a nutshell? Users get tokens for doing certain actions but instead of sharing/creating posts about the project on their FB or twitter they post it on your platform, why would anyone want to do that? Plus I don't see how your business will generate those Billions, Either you offer everyone to list their tokens for free or become something like Publish0x where you charge the developers to list their coins... I can't think of any model besides ads which will generate revenue for your business...

Decentralized search engines have already been done, you can find many projects by doing a mere google search...

Your audio app has potential as I said before, however, after doing some googling I found a couple of apps which already do this... https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Kandinsky/ This one is mobile friendly and works on any device... However if you advertise and develop it properly, you can definitely make some money out of it...

Idea 1) No, this is how it would work (OP updated). It is a social media platform, users don't have to do anything except posting content if they want:

Users post content on their timeline as usual. There is a tip button and when another user clicks that button he or she can choose how many xyz tokens will be sent to the OP creator. The tipper can choose from many types of tokens and will also receive a part of the total transaction himself. The tipping pools will be funded by token issuers who want to have their tokens distributed.

Ok guys, the OP has been updated for today and I have answered most of the constructive replies.

Would be interested in feedback on idea number 1 if anyone is thinking the same way here.
