good luck to the new project, the idea of the project surprised me, do you think they will become successful?
There was a lot of similar projects, such as nyan.cat and nyancoin. All of them were not successful But these projects were not supported by waves project I agree with you, at the moment there are very few projects that are supported by the company "waves". This clearly will be successful The fact that they are supported by the company "waves" - it does not mean anything

Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, campaigns, gambling or mining?

Trading is the most reliable as it mostly depends on your own skills and experience - despite market fluctuations, it depends only on you how to make best of it. Gambling certainly our of question, mining is not profitable at the current market. Campaigns are safe, but I doubt they`re too profitable tbh.

China's "development" is still globalization driven. With almost 1.4B producing great numbers isn't exactly rocket science. So far China's tech sector is a bunch of copycats that only exist due to protectionism. I'm skeptical about China all of a sudden producing true innovation in AI.
I`ve been to China last year, the situation is quite different in China`s technology. The government actually supports research and development with money. This way smaller companies can afford developing new technology without affecting their main business. For example, a company produces some general issue software that keeps it alive in the market and at the same time their special R&D dept works on AI development without hurting main production. I saw it myself, although in different application - it wasn`t related to software, but rather to machinery - but it`s easy to imagine the same situation in IT.

I'm not sure if this thread means decreasing the current population or slowing its growth.
It should mean slowing its growth, although considering some latest comments I`m not sure of anything now.

Nothing against a good birthday party. One more opportunity to gather old friends and have some fun, why miss it? Don`t tell me that technically you can gather any day, it doesn`t actually work like this.

Last week (1st December) there was huge amount of violence with 300 wounded on civilians and 200 wounded in the police. But this Saturday, after a week of bullshit propaganda and all the political leaders praising pacifism, we go back to the usual stats: 1000 arrests, 300 civilian wounded and 15 wounded on the police. The whole movement was about demonstrating calmly and not provoking the police... They`re literally fighting against their own people. it wouldn`t happen this way if radicals didn`t join the movement. What`s the point of breaking into Arc de Triomphe`s museum? What cause did it serve? Mind, yellow vests are fighting for right cause - but sometimes it breaks the limit.

Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world?

I see a parallel between Crypto and fiat: while in Crypto all altcoins are influenced by Bitcoin, the same happens with fiat - only USD plays this role. Other than that, fiat is indeed necessary. It is a tool for the government to control society, I doubt that it will ever change.

The other point is not that ICOs are scam, but that even reliable projects can fail - no one is safe from failure in the current market condition, I`m afraid. Too bad that if an actually good project fails, people still think it was a scam.
