I don't like censorship but I removed all pointless posts, made purely for signature campaigns.

Thanks everybody for the support and for joining it. It might not be much, but everything helps. So far 19 people have joined, I'll do my best to get more on board!

Great to see these reactions! As some already said, F@H is a legit project that has been around since the early 2000's. Here is all COVID-19 related material on their Github: https://github.com/FoldingAtHome/coronavirus

Should you decide to help out, don't forget to enter team number 238906 to join team 'BuyBitcoin'. The higher we are ranked in the leaderboard, the more people we'll expose to Bitcoin!

I came across this tweet, calling the Bitcoin community to help battle COVID-19: https://twitter.com/m__btc/status/1239095140356165632

Let's unite the #Bitcoin community to battle #COVID19!

Download Folding@home and use unused GPU/CPU power to help
@Stanford
analyze important COVID-19 data like potential drug targets.

Join team 'BuyBitcoin' (#238906). Select 'Any disease' for COVID-19

https://foldingathome.org/start-folding/

What is it?
Folding@home (FAH or F@h) is a distributed computing project, created by Stanford University, for disease research that simulates protein folding, computational drug design, and other types of molecular dynamics. As of today, the project is using the idle resources of personal computers owned by volunteers from all over the world. Thousands of people contribute to the success of this project. More information can be found on their website: https://foldingathome.org/

How does it work?
You simply download Folding@Home and use your unused CPU/GPU power to analyze data from Stanford.

What happens with the data?
Folding@home is run by an academic institution (specifically the Pande Group, at Stanford University’s Chemistry Department), which is a nonprofit institution dedicated to science research and education. We will not sell the data or make any money from it. Moreover, we will make the data available for others to use. In particular, the results from Folding@home will be made available on several levels. Most importantly, analysis of the simulations will be submitted to scientific journals for publication, and these journal articles will be posted on the web page after publication.

Following the publications of these scientific articles, we will make the raw data of the folding runs available to other researchers upon request. The data sets from some of our most prominent simulations are already publicly available. We’ve also striven to share our key technologies with other scientists, to assist their research as well.

How can I help

@Moderators, I know this might not be posted in the right section but this definitely deserves a lot of attention imo. Folding@Home has been proven very effective in the past and this is a great opportunity for the Bitcoin community to contribute. We have a lot of CPU/GPU power that can be put to good use!
4  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Legend of Zelda games (incl. Collector's Edition!) on: February 17, 2020, 04:01:41 AM
The games have been used but they are still in excellent condition. They have been handled with care.

Hey everyone!

I have a few Legend of Zelda games I am looking to sell. All games are in great condition and the prices are all under Ebay prices. Feel free to make a new offer if you've found them cheaper on Ebay.

- Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii) - $10
- Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (WiiU) - $15
- Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - $20
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Collectors Edition - $70

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Collectors Edition includes the actual game, a Wolf Link Amiino and a special music CD. Both the Amiibo and the music CD (still sealed) have never left the box.

The games are shipping from Europe, so shipping costs will be calculated depending on where they are going. I'm accepting BTC only and I have no issues with using escrow.

Very interesting!

Thanks! Could you be a bit more specific and answer the questions from our main post?

We would love to hear if:

- You are interested in buying high quality, freshly roasted beans.
- The quantity of beans you'd be willing to buy.
- What kind of cryptocurrency you would like to see us accept.

We will add Viacoin if more people show interest. 'ABS' isn't supported by their payment gateway. Where can we find more information about that coin and is it supported by another payment gateway?

Hey guys!

We are in the middle of setting up a new business (located in Europe) and we are wondering if the Bitcointalk community is interested in buying freshly roasted coffee (and accessoires for brewing coffee). The beans will be slow roasted anywhere between 12 and 23 minutes, depending on the type of bean and roast level. All beans will be sealed in special coffee bags, including a one-way valve. The valve will let out any carbon dioxide, emitted by the freshly roasted beans, out of the bag without letting any oxygen in to keep the beans as fresh as possible. Keep in mind that we will not be selling cheap, low quality beans.

We are starting of with the following beans:

- Ethiopian Sidamo.
- Brasilian Yellow Bourbon.
- Cuban Turquino Lavado.
- Malawian Pamwamba.
- Indonesian Sumatra Mandheling.

Prices will start around €5/$5,50 per lbs, depending on the type of beans. We also plan on offering house blends (and custom blends) at a later stage. We will also be selling accessoires like:

- Mugs.
- Filters.
- Percolators.

We would love to hear if:

- You are interested in buying high quality, freshly roasted beans.
- The quantity of beans you'd be willing to buy.
- What kind of cryptocurrency you would like to see us accept.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Escrow?
test orders?

interested but cant be handing over BTC to a new account

Thanks for replying! Using escrow would be inconvenient for us since we'll be using a payment gateway to accept Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies if there is a demand for them). You will be able to find our Chamber of Commerce number + VAT number on our website, which both will verify that we're a registered company. If trust is an issue we're more than happy to send a trusted Bitcointalk member some free beans!

Are there any other cryptocurrencies, besides Bitcoin, you'd like to see us accept?
