Mal,

The Dapps would be stored first on the computer that they were developed on, as a backup.  They would be available on Apple App store, where they would be hosted.  In the Crypti Dapp store, they would be on the server, as well as backed up by either Boris, Stas, or Seb...... or even all three.

The dapps that need a custom side chain would be the responsibility of the developer that wrote it to run the block chain necessary for the dapp to operate.  He can do that himself, or pay delegates a small fee to run the block chain for him.  I imagine that there would need to be a dozen or more delegates running each sidechain for it to be secure

Since the delegates are only actually forging 10 seconds out of every 16 minutes, they would have lots of available time to forge a sidechain as well.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: July 09, 2015, 01:43:58 AM
There will be a mobile app for iOS and Android, they should be accepted at the app stores of Apple and Google. Smiley From within the mobile app you have full control over the dapp store and can launch your dapps from there. Of course the dapp needs to be responsive for this.

OK, so there's dapps in the Crypti dapp store.  What is the plan for where these dapp files are stored?  As files on a single Crypti website server?  As files on all 101 Delegate servers?  As data on seperate custom XCR side chains?

Perhaps Max can start a FOR SALE topic on https://forum.crypti.me for this.

There is already the Market forum, in which trades can be initiated. Someone just needs to open offers. Smiley

I also created a sticky thread there to announce, that I'm willing to be an escrow partner.

Just to start things off, I posted a sell offer there.

Chinese people:
If your english isn't that good, we now offer a Chinese version of the white paper! Thanks to our Chinese Crypti correspondent Luiz alias Mandy1749! We also updated the footer links on our website with the newest white papers. Smiley

https://crypti.me/crypti_cn.pdf

It's time for chinese exchanges to add Crypti, like http://www.btc38.com/trade_en.html !
Send them whitepaper!

We are trying, but BTC38 said they won't add any new coins right now. Maybe if they get many requests, tho. But Cryptsy doesn't react to our dozens of emails either..

Hmm.

I think it's possible at least get list of top 10 chinease cryptonews sites and send them e-mail with press-release/whitepaper.
i asked before....they just want money.
i posted white paper in bter and 8btc.com

Back in the "good old days" about 2 years ago, exchanges would list every coin that came out, because it was in their best economic interest to have as many coins on their exchange as possible.  "We have 40 coins" is always more attractive than "we have BTC and 5 alt coins".

Then about mid summer last year, at the height of the shitcoin boom, the exchanges started with a "vote for your coin to be added" system, which soon turned into a "buy votes for your favorite coin".

Well, the shitcoins are fading fast.  There are fewer coins traded every day as the shitcoins fall away.  Soon there will be only a dozen to 20 coins that anyone cares about.  At that point, the exchanges will stop the "pay for a vote" nonsense, and change their business model to focus on service.  Those that dont, will fade away as well.

SO, dont fret the lack of available exchanges for XCR.  We only need one, we have 2 1/2.  By the end of Sept, things will be different in the crypto world.

BTW, with the CONTACTS available on the new wallet, it is easy to trade directly with other XCR owners, without paying the exchange premium.

Perhaps Max can start a FOR SALE topic on https://forum.crypti.me for this.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: July 06, 2015, 12:39:47 PM
I think 1 XCR can worth more then 100 USD. Why? Cause bitcoin has 100'000 users, and it's not possibale for XCR to have such a number. But it's possible for some Dapp developer to create a Dapp with 100'000 or 200'000 or even 1 mil users, cause internet already has 3 billion users.

Telegram Claims 50M Monthly Active Users.

How about 50 000 000 users of Dapp build on Crypti, which uses XCR under it  Shocked Cheesy Wink

Damn it 50cent..... now that you have told everyone the secret to getting rich on Crypti, everyone is going to buy it, and I wont be able to get more at 1150sats!!

i really wonder why XCR capitalisation is not at 5 million yet ...

Mostly because other coins, like DOGE have huge communities........ we have about 5 guys.  Thats the bad news....... the good news is that Crypti is going to be huge very soon, and that gives our small community the opportunity to buy XCR at a low price.

The days of buying into IPO and selling after two weeks at 10X are over.  But there are still mature alt-coins that will appreciate 10X and more.  XCR is one of them.

I read here complaints that the dev team has 30% or more of the XCR.  We believe in XCR, and see the potential, so we are buying.

BTW, thats my wall on Polo at 1150 sats.  Want to sell me more XCR?
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: July 04, 2015, 02:40:06 PM
It is weekend again and I'm sort of drunk again so I bought into XCR again  Grin  and now I wanna know if there are any plans to "integrate" some Javascript communities into the deal, port some known apps to Crypti or similar stuff? Any date for working Windows Lite wallet?

We will be starting our marketing campaign as soon as we have a working DAPP system.  We have held off advertising until now because we had nothing special to offer.  It has been a year now, and we are very close.

Once the Javascript community hears that we have an up-and-running system, they will be all over us, like Greeks at an ATM.

50cent rapper:

True, that Apple and Google do not like cryptocurrencys, but they have already allowed an app that tips players with satoshis, but is not used for ingame purchases.  They also have allowed apps that track crypto prices at exchanges.

So as long as Apple and Google get their 30% of every purchase, they are happy.

It likely wont be long before they accept BTC as well.  Once they see they are losing money to a competitor, they will join the revolution.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: July 03, 2015, 12:53:45 AM
Max will you show us whitepaper today? I mean not a blank piece of white paper, but technical whitepaper with technical words  Roll Eyes
I am very interested in this too.  I hope to start talking about specific capabilities to be coded for smart contracts and custom blockchains.  These are projected 0.4.0 capabilities that will become available in the next three months, right?

Right. We will release the white paper tomorrow. We made a few changes and I want the final OK from the foundation before I publish it. I hope you understand it. Smiley

What editor did you guys use to write it? Please tell me you used TeX : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TeX and not Microsoft Word, or something similar. When it comes to creating whitepapers, TeX is really the ONLY editor that you should use.

It was written on Google Docs.  I dont know what program they use, but I doubt it is MS Word.  Likely a proprietary program.

After clicking on Send XCR there needs to be some indication that something happens (animation). Currently the UI just lags for 5-10 seconds until the money is sent. The UI looks good, but the laggy feeling is not right. This might by a Windows issue of the full client.
I usually just switch to the block chain tab and see the transaction being forged.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 24, 2015, 06:46:55 PM
For what it's worth, it looks like there are at least 12 Top Delegates in the "101 Club" that are not currently forging:

UPTIME     DELEGATE

72.78%   Altocumulus
72.78%   Altostratus
84.69%   Stratocumulus
84.47%   Stratus
56.18%   foundation10
56.60%   foundation9
85.38%   MatthewDC_D1
85.07%   MatthewDC_D8
12.79%   stasDelegate1
12.63%   stasDelegate4
75.38%   landgraf.paul
53.15%   Wulfcastle

This list may be longer, but if so, it's among members whose total uptime is over 85%.

For what it is worth, I noticed that my delegate, hosted on Vultr, is only hitting about 75% since the 030 update.  My uptime has gone down slowly, as I hit an average of 3 forgings per hour and miss one.

72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 23, 2015, 09:06:05 PM
Is new version again a hard fork and incompatible with current network? Huh

Litoshi mixed something up. The old v0.2.0er release is not compatible with the current version, as we introduced new features.
Oh, this always misleading me Litoshi! Angry
I think it still syncs, but at some point you will probably land on a fork.
Can you tell what are exact conditions when 0.2 go fork with 0.3? Huh
starik, it is also written on the blog post:

Quote
To all delegates: This update is mandatory! You have to update your nodes as soon as possible! Thank you.

So you have to update your nodes.  Wink

Mandatory is not incompatible Roll Eyes

Eventually 020 will have to forge or confirm one of the new 030 functions, such as username registration, or adding a contact.  Once this happens, an 020 delegate will likely produce its own fork.

So, as long as you are not an active delegate, and dont make any transactions, your 020 full wallet will show the block chain and your balance.

You be the judge of if this can be called compatable or not.

Mal,

have you tried loading the node on to your home computer, DL the blockchain.db and then copy it to your Vultr node?
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 22, 2015, 04:59:09 PM
Check at the top right corner. There should be a circle loading with a percentage inside of it.

Nope.  No circle.  See for yourself:

http://104.156.254.157:8040

According to winscp, my blockchain.db is at 95MB and still slowly climbing.

Mal,

that Vultr address is a 512MB account. you need to upgrade to 45.63.6.XX:8040

BTW, that link only leads to the XCR wallet log on screen.  We cant see your node.  Also, you cant enable forging from a remote computer when on Vultr....... you must log on to Vultr and do it there.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 22, 2015, 04:56:54 PM
Well, so much for Crypti being serviced by Coinomat.com for now.  There were a bunch of Dash and Doge votes in the last minutes so we ended up 4th place for their current voting cycle.  It would take about 2BTC or around $500 to tie with Doge for 3rd place in the next cycle, ignoring any additional votes.

https://coinomat.com/coinvoting.php

I'm not convinced we need Coinomat, just like I am one of the people who thinks we should not be part of SuperNet. I am not fully convinced coinomat are supernet are completely legit, yet. I hold some SuperNet, but I hold a lot more XCR and I don't think XCR's success should hinge on the success of another cryptocurrency system.  If XCR delivers what it is supposed to, it can be a great success all on it own.

It would be nice to have been listed on Coinomat after DappStore Release, which is 0.5 version of Crypti. That means we have 3 month to gather necessary votes.

50 cent........ dont waste your money buying votes on Coinomat.

Facts:

1) Exchanges are established in order to make money, not as a public service

2) Fast way to make money is to charge for listing a coin, or to charge for vote$.

3) Encouraging competition between alt-coins desiring to be listed produces additional paid vote$

4) Shill voting produces even more additional paid votes by competing coins  (shill voting are votes by the exchange owners or proxies)

5) An alt-coin will be listed with or without votes when the exchange owners see that it is in their best interest.  Notice that heavy hyped coins get listed right away?  WHy?  Because it is profitable for the exchange owners (MaxCoin, Aurora)

Hitching our wagon to another alt-coin is very risky.  I equate it with being a rider on a motorcycle.  You have all the risk of the driver, but zero control.  We have already had experience with a partnership that went bad.  Fortunately, Corona didnt get very far.  We will be even more careful in the future.

What happened with coinomat.com? My post got deleted, I just added +1.

From this thread? It was probably a BTT moderator, check the PM you got from them please. Smiley

If you were quoting a previous article, and that article. or one of its subsequent repostings was deleted by the mod, then your post, being a child post, got deleted as well.

NO
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 20, 2015, 01:09:12 PM
Let me ask a theoretical question.  Crypti is getting a smart contract (SC) capability in the future, right?  And those SCs need information scraped from somewhere to make a decision on what to do.  So...will the Crypti version run by the Forging Delegates start to incorporate SC modules that scrape various websites and databases for information, and release certain chinks of information upon request to dapps that ask for it?  Or will the dapps be required to get SC decision information themselves?   Or both?  What is the Crypti vision for SC decision data?

Mal,, things are real quiet around here on Saturdays.  Its the Sabbath in Israel and the weekend for everyone else.

Short answer:  Your question s answered in the White Paper, that will be released this week.  It takes two pages to explain how Dapps work.

Long answer:  The Dapp developer/owner may need to have a Dapp Master node to manage his Dapp.  Dapps will run on the Crypti VM.  The VM will use a API to communicate with the main block chain.  If a Dapp needs outside information, such as the NASDAQ average, it will need to use an API or some other automatic or manual method of getting the needed information.  Dapps may need to pay active delegates for forging as well.

TheRealSilk, publish news please.
I have always believed in Node, but that's such a lull cast doubt not only me.

From 16 to 25 August I have appointed consultative meeting with representatives of the banks in Ukraine, which will decide the fate of the integration of the EUR and USD with a certain bank (currently being prepared legal and technical documentation)
In July, I'll be on vacation
so there will be no new news till August?

That is what is known in the financial world as the "fake out".  To keep the price of a security up while you dump, you need to have as few people as possible selling, and as many as possible buying.  So, make believe everything is fine, while you sell out.  Also, keep hopes up that prosperity is just around the corner, because HOPE is as good as cash-in-the-bank.

Mal,

We are at risk of having a page long reply if we continue this discussion here.  This is more suited for Slack than BTT.

But let me just answer your query on the need for a physical address.  Strange thing about banks, they dont let you use a web address for an account.  If you dont have a brick and mortar address, no account.

Apple and Google only pay to bank accounts in select countries.

If Crypti begins to make income from dapps, it will only come as fiat from Google/Apple.  They wont pay us in BTC.   We have a choice of USD or EUROS.

Crypto currency is great, but you cant buy groceries, gasoline, clothing, or pay rent with it yet.  And in Russia, you can have it taken away by the gov't.

Perhaps you should PM us with a Slack address, and we can have the team discuss your ideas?
