Indeed. Although, not really. Its already on the internet anyway. Dorian has already confirmed that he is not Satoshi and Satoshi has already confirmed that he/she/they are not Dorian. However, said Dorian Satoshi 'Locomoto' is obviously a 'Blocktrain' enthusiast and is perhaps wearing a cap with what would appear to be a Crypto Libertarian / Entrepreneurship style symbol on it which could also be interpreted as 'here I am and welcome to the future'. This is both conspiracy theory and the stuff of true legend 'hidden in plain sight' or alternatively just a load of coincidental bunkum ! Did anyone really expect anything less ?  Masons have their secret handshake, now bitcoiners have their secret symbol. Even though you are likely joking, it would be great if "secret symbols", especially masonic-type ones, would keep themselves associated only with Fiat. (Very, very hard to beat the creepiness of the symbols in present Fiat bills though...). Half joking, half serious, but was on the serious side of the fence when I suggested it. |

Just a quick post to give Minersource credit for issuing refund on X3. Took a few weeks but check came in the mail and cleared. Thanks for being legit.
Matt/Bobsag, As you continue to provide refunds, could I please have mine as requested multiple times? Thank you. We are processing all the refunds sent to support@minersource.net. If you submitted it- we havent forgotten, its just takes a while. Also... we sell antminers as well... and unlike Ninja we have them in stock and not shipping form china  (if hes going to jack the thread anyways) Thank you, I have forwarded my refund request that was e-mailed to matt@minersource.net on February 1, 2014 to the support e-mail address above as instructed. That order was promised to ship 2 weeks ago! Have they contacted you with the reasons for the delays? I bet they didn't, but they have said it's because of us that keeps replying to this thread and having them respond for being behind. Luckily, they're going to put everything on hold so that they can use the scant manpower to build and man their uber-forum so that they don't have to deal with us monumental assholes here. I've been reading this thread since last week, took me a week since my last catch up at page 86..... calm down AMT, it doesn't need to reply all negatives which is quite stressing and it never helps any of it. From the beginning, people demand for pictures (picture at pg 80~90, somewhere at 130 & latest at 155), then video, location & so on... eventually they will just non-stop bashing... so just ignore them, and keep up posting the progress like what others official companies do, hopefully with more photos, video, tracks & etc... replying the thread with long post(& caplocks) is painful to read... Sorry guys, i just hope to see updates on my miners in this thread instead of spams...  rofl... another newbie coming to the defense of AMT. How many accounts does AMT have? Joshua Zipkin played the same fucking game before with every other entity he controlled and can be easily found via The Wayback Machine. That fucker has built sites and on the first day they go live he had already reviewed his own company via other companies that he had/has sole control of. Why would we expect anything different now? |

Hell, Jimmy could even film the event and dub it "My Lunch with Andreas" reminiscent of some movie having a similar title. Seriously, any media exposure during a said event would be welcoming, but is not a requirement for such meeting to take place. Andreas would be more than welcome to solicit donations via bitcoins to help offset any expenses incurred for such a meeting. Bitcoin 100 is on record in stating that a $1,000 USD via BTC will be donated to Wikipedia once it starts accepting donations via bitcoins. Taxing my memory, there's a thread or two somewhere on this forum depicting another chuck of change that was garnered that will go toward the same cause once said occurs. If anything came out of the recent Satoshi-Newsweek debacle, it's that Royal Danish butter cookies have gotten a lot of free advertisement. The cookies are really good but I have not had them in years because I forgot about them. Kind of a strange "cause and effect" effect happening here; bitcoins are created, people want Danish cookies.
Good thing Darian didn't review elephants at the pet shop. |

Something simple like star ratings would be nice. This is a feature that usually works really well due to the fact that it represents independent peer reviews, something that could fit bitcoin really well. If nothing else if would make sure the vast majority of newcomers picks a trustworthy service. There was a session at the Texas bitcoin conference where this issue was discussed, and there was some interesting ideas there, even though I fear we could easily end up with a cartel like situation if we don't get it right. what are some of the other ideas that were shared at the conference That is more about making exchanges secure though, not necessary efficient or user friendly or decentralized wow, that was a powerful video, had to watch it twice; and will likely watch it a couple more times Thanks for the link, bud. OP: You should put a checksum with a file like this. It would be an obvious ploy to replace some of the files with trojans. If the original is though to be clean, people may execute exploits contained in a zip they thought to be real. Checksums are easy to check, reliable, and quite critical for data such as this. I would be very wary of anything sensitive that I downloaded which did not come with a checksum, and I would (and do) cross-check these. If anyone finds a file of the same name with a different checksum it would be good to report it (even worth starting a new thread) and handing it over to people who can analyze the contents. We really don't need any more people losing money to stupid things associated with Mt. Gox...though I suspect we'll see a lot more in the weeks to come  This is fucking nuts! First, I had to get up to speed as to what the hell a motiff[sic] is in BFL's thread back in the day, now I need to learn what the heck a checksum is, then learn how to use it. To show you what type of noob I am, although I know quite a bit about HTML and CSS, for the life of me I couldn't tell you what those acronyms stand for sans looking them up first. I know just enough about PHP as it applies to Wordpress that caused me all kinds of problems till I finally learnt to do backups of any codes I'm altering. |

Still not sure what I may have compromised for I'm a serious noob when it comes to these sort of things. I have not once assure anyone about this link and the single and only time I have posted this link myself I wrote a big ass red warning all around it from the get go. You clicked on someone else's link not mine and you trusted someone else not me. I have not even downloaded myself even tho I really want to me because I'm a gox victim and I would love to get all my account information back. As a tec noob myself I also had no idea PDF's could do this until today and thinking back over the last year how many pdfs have I opened?? I think I also need to wipe my PC not because of this download but because I might have already been effected. Would you mind telling us who assured you.
