Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / ALL SET! A Bitcoin-themed banner WILL be present at Super Bowl XLVIII.

Just got off the phone with Mike (Michael) of Manhattan Banner, a fine outfit, and he stated that there'll be no problem with printing and delivering the banner to the Waldorf Astoria where a fellow Bitcoiner (mentioned on the other thread, but withheld hear just in case, not wanting to take anything for granted) will take possession of it. Simply waiting now for a quote via email (~5 Minutes), of which I'll pay via CC (sorry, but they don't take bitcoins at this time) for the printing and delivery of the following image to be printed on a vinyl banner.

What did the Dalai Lama say to the hot dog vendor. "Can you make me one with everything?'
"What do you mean we don't come equipped with reverse?"

I am looking at both news updates, and I cant find a single word about the approved Certifications, which makes me wonder how that customer walked out with his miner as they claim (and as he claim).
I got my picture taken, saw the box, and then had to leave without it because they could not legally give it to me.
He is having the miner hosted at Cointerra until the certifications are complete. Will Early April Fools joke? (couldn't resist, for those who get the reference)

Yeah, I saw that. A lot of the other posts from that account seem immature and unprofessional though seems like a bone headed move for the CEO of a company under so much scrutiny to be acting like that. Have you seriously not seen the Kottmeier posts of him posing nearly nude and the video of him submitting his resume after already being fully employed, along with his partner Skropenis, by HashFast?

the HFB comes with a one page manual "Welcome to your new Baby Jet" and a 3 (three) page "Cover our ass Limited Hardware Warranties" stating you are SOL when the hardware does not work as it's always your fault when it breaks. Now, this is funny. It's clear the lawyer has completely taken over any common sense Looks like so... Btw, have anyone ever noticed that one of the business address we have of HF is exactly the same as the lawyers' business address? HashFast Technologies LLC 649 Mission Street 5th Floor San Francisco, CA 90291 Strategic Counsel Corp. 649 Mission Street, Fifth Floor San Francisco, CA 94105 http://scounsel.com/general-counsel/Welcome to the new offices of Ettinger, Barber, de Castro, Johnson, Skropenis, Screwem, Cheatem & Howe. BTW, there's no reason for bitcoiners to swarm over to http://capacitor.squarespace.com/board/, for there's nothing, I repeat, nothing, Bitcoin related that can be gleaned there. On a side note, I wonder how large the biggest bed in the world is and, is it big enough? ~TMI BTCITW

I'm hyped! Are you waiting for a call, because you sent a request. Or are you already waiting for a notification that it is ready to be picked up? just wanted to tell you - it does not scan with my apps. running Nexus 5/ ZXing Barcode scanner scanning from big computer screen.
I really don't understand how than can happen with a Nexus 5. I downloaded ZXing Barcode scanner and it scanned instantly (monitor & laptop screen). Less than a second - and I have a Nexus 4. Maybe the app or phone is broken, otherwise it should definitely scan. The problem always is with phones that have a very bad camera (>3MP), so a Nexus 5 should have no problem at all. There are also some poorly code apps. Google Goggles is the best QR reader that I've tried so far. I'm waiting for a call from Michael to place the order, blasting him an email at the same time. I'm sure that Manhattan Banner is up to the task, willing to pay virtually whatever (nominal rate, of course) to have the banner printed and delivered to the Waldorf Astoria's front desk, located only about a mile away. ~TMI BTCITW

I have the proper files that I can easily provide. The image I've been showing is only for internet purposes. I paid a graphic designer for said service. Boy, I must have been tired last night when I penned the above reply. I would have shown you were asking if it's scannable oppose to raising a concern, of which I will now address. Most phones were able to scan it, with a handful unable to, hence adding the Google tiny URL, http://goo.gl/QyGh8p, during the graphic designing process to thwart any issues that may arise to the QR-Code's readability. Thanks, apetersson, nevertheless, for bringing this to our attention. ~TMI BTCITW

Does that scan as barcode?.. Tempted to ask "Will it blend?"
Might have a lot of frustrated viewers unable to get anything from that, if it's not really a QR code.
The QR-Code does work and it, along with the Google tiny URL, http://goo.gl/QyGh8p, links to http://www.overstock.com/search?keywords=seattle+seahawks&SearchType=HeaderIf Seattle, the underdog, wins, I'm sure Overstock will garner a many a orders by bitcoiners, and others. due to this campaign, trumping that college Bitcoin-themed banner stunt, of which the owner of said banner donated a majority of his not expected bitcoin donations to Sean's Outpost during the time I was on site conducting Thanksgiving at Satoshi Forest, prior to me going to Las Vegas to bring awareness to The Tutu Project. ~TMI BTCITW

No one else smells a scam here?
Wait, what! How did I get to post 10 and not sme... Nevermind! Have a cold. Meanwhile, there's this other guy trying to scam the community by trying to get a Bitcoin-themed banner into the Super Bowl. Don't know what that crazy fuck is up to, but to date he's using his own money and not asking for any bitcoins. Somebody better keep an eye on him. I wouldn't be surprised to learnt that he goes to Las Vegas and wears a pink tutu. One crazy fucked up dude, I say. ~TMI BTCITW
