I made a lot of friends through gaming. Just play any coop or RPG game, after few months of siting together on teamspeak we knew each other quite well and organized meetups. Easiest way to make a friend is to have something in common to talk about, like someone suggested be a gym member, have a dog, have a kid, whatever.

Exactly! Fine somebody that has the same interest as you, then go see a movie.

4264  Other / Off-topic / Re: Okay, which one of you bitcoiners is fuckin' hindin' this commodity? on: January 23, 2014, 05:47:40 PM
Sorry, but Satan promised me that He would raise the price of bitcoins to $100,000 if I offered Him the blood of a young European virgin. I figured that goat's blood would be an acceptable substitute, but He keeps complaining that none of the goats I've slaughtered are virgins. Phinn, do you know anything about this?

I see you and I subscribe to the same magazine:

4265  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 23, 2014, 06:02:26 AM
You cant expect every hashfast customer to come to the forum and sumbit they have recieved theres, you will only see the difference by hashrate

Another barometer would be if/when they go to the HF repair (or whatever it's called) thread to discuss various fixes or tweaks among fellow hashfasters.
4266  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 23, 2014, 05:59:36 AM
Why would you relate the current hash rate to hashfast shipping? It has been on a steady growth for months. If hf shipped a significant number it would grow faster.

What are we at now, two confirmed units in the wild? Four?

To be fair, I'll concur, unless it can be proven that very little by other suppliers shipped during that last 2/4 week span.

It may have been prudent to bring the following to your attention via PM, but that wouldn't have increased my post count.  Roll Eyes Besides, we're friends.

Started to read your site/blog and was immediately greeted with your spellings of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin, when discussed as the protocol is almost always capitalized, whereas when it's pertaining to the monetary aspect it's not unless, that is, it's at the beginning of a sentence. Also, it's not two words, and parentheses are never used, unles (bit)coin is somehow warranted. If mentioning a specific amount, i.e. 15 bitcoins, use 15 BTC.

This post is not meant as a dis, simply an FYI. Perhaps some other may offer up the link to that thread that spells it out more clearly than I, for it's eluding me.

Back to reading your site, bud.

I took a walk with my wife and asked for her thoughts. She told me a story from just before she was born: She lived in a one room house without warm water and with just one lightbulb. Her father had been saving for years to make a huge upgrade to their living situation. On the day he went to the bank to take out his savings... the bank defaulted. He lost everything. He went back to N.'s mother utterly defeated. Her father is a miner and farmer in Peru. He'd... slaved... for years for that money. N.'s mom's responded with firmness: "It's just money. It means nothing. What matters is that we have our dignity. There's nothing to think about."

About to read the blog posts, but wanted to comment on this first.

My dad was a miner, coal in Belgium from early- to mid-teens. Eight of us (five siblings) lived in a one room house sans running water or heat, save an inefficient fireplace, in Northwest Indiana. Each Christmas, we all received clothes--no toys. Nobody complained, and we all turned out just fine, seldom concerning ourselves throughout life about lack-of-money issues.

I can still recall absorbing myself in Zane Grey novels and Calculus books, sometimes simultaneously. Sadly, I've forgotten most of the Calculus since it was seldom used, but sought other functions to embrace life.

Just a tad more about me, apologizing for taking away from your lovely post, bitcoincito.

Curious: can these wallets have any image carved onto them, and would the artist mind carving on something that is copyrighted?

Yes (just about), and no, albeit it should be yes, and you shouldn't be asking such.  Roll Eyes

Damn, I'm behind on this thread, but have been working behind the scenes pertaining to this endeavor and the Super Bowl Project. And barn wood and working on my truck and healing from the fall and the Jehovah Witnesses stopping by (when they say "See you in Two Weeks!", they mean it).

O.o

Yeah, you're right, it's worth way more than a house.

I still don't know what he wants...

I was looking for a graphic design to mesh together all the elements, plus some, found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423615.msg4634508#msg4634508

Already have a guy working on it, thus this bounty will be paid in full to him. But please don't tell him that I may be paying him a tad extra due to the workload.

Maybe I should have put this is services, but was in a bounty-state-o'-mind.

As cliche as it is, gyms and bars are a great way to meet people and potential friends. I know I turn into a social butterfly after 2 drinks

So you were the one increased the Friendship Hash Rate at that end of bar rackin' up your tab, thus making it more difficult for us common folk to score. You Bastard!

Google Lets Slip That It's Exploring Possible Bitcoin Integration Plans

Seattle Seahawks accepts Google Checkout. Google's considering Bitcoin. Ergo, Seattle Seahawks accepts Bitcoin. That's BitPay's story and they're sticking to it.  Grin They are damn lucky that I love them guys.

Great! Now BitPay can announce on their Google+ page that Google is officially accepting bitcoins. <not apologizing for providing humor at my friends at BitPay's expense>

I've been reading more and more about the poor working conditions of some of Apple's outsourced manufacturing plants. My question is, what are your thoughts?

I'm writing this from an iPad please bear in mind, so I'm not taking any high ground.

Is it enough for you to think about changing your device in future?

See this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2092277/Apple-Poor-working-conditions-inside-Chinese-factories-making-iPads.html

(Yes, it's the daily mail)

Not even close to what I'm witnessed first-hand: Lead paint flakes and dust, no gloves to protect from the splinters and cold, sharp nails protruding all over the place, dull saw blades constantly in use, no goggles on site, chafed electrical cords with exposed wires arcing, one door to exit and enter the place, heavy lifting for 8-10 hours, people smoking in other people's faces, cussing and racial slurs, no paid vacations, working on holidays, no insurance, years old animal shit mixed with the microdust abound, no fresh drinking water on site, no first aid kits on site, and the list continues. Daily, I have to convince my grandmother not to quit.

Bruno,  do you really need to increase your post count?  I find that hard to believe.  Is there someone ahead of you?  Who?

Nah, nobody comes close. You can see the top posters here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=0

Give you around 4 months and you will ahead thanks to these ad campaigns.

This thread worked, for I now have a graphic designer in place.

Hi Jim,
Thank you so much for your patience while I got the answer for you, I greatly appreciate it.

The answer is if you buy Baby Jet for 51 BitCoins today and it does not ship, you will be refunded the 51 BitCoins you paid.

I hope that helps and hope you have a good weekend!

Thanks,
Cara

Promise or estimate, for I clearly read the word 'if' in Cara's reply? Also, I couldn't help but notice there's a lot of hope in that reply.

Try selling light bulbs.  Now that they are banned in the us you should get a decent markup.

This, I will buy the fuck out of incandescents.

I'll sell you a 60W for 1 BTC.

You got any 100w? I'm desperate, I got some energy saving 12w but its just not doing it for me.

Seriously, I can still buy them at Dollar General. Did so a week ago Saturday.
