Fuck the Seahawks.

49ers fan.

I'm a Bears fan, and Bears start with B, and that spells...

Or at least according to Bitpay's official Google+ page. What the hell is going on here?

Looks like I'm going to have to change where the QR-Code is linked to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=426851.0

I dont know who the Seattle Seahawks are (american football)?  but that's awesome.  sports teams are huge for the bitcoin movement, IMO.

Yes. That team is going to have one of the biggest spotlights in the world on them the for the next few weeks. They're going to be in the superbowl.

Colorado vs Washington: It'll be the biggest bowl ever smoked.

Hence dubbed the 420 Bowl I.

<wonder why nobody has done this before>
4306  Bitcoin / Project Development / Another $50 USD bounty for a graphic designer (simple project). on: January 22, 2014, 07:48:18 AM
The design is basically laid out here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423615.msg4634508#msg4634508 along with a couple modifications that'll be shared once the design process starts.

Please post if you want to be considered, linking or showing something you've done in the past, that way if you're not the lucky one considered, this thread would act as an ad placement, of sorts, depicting your talent(s).

Ideally, you may need to know how QR-Codes work (or at least go through the simple learning curve) and have a smart phone to read such, making sure that the end result functions properly.

The entire bounty will be paid out to only one person of which I choose to commission to complete this project whether I use it or not.

Meanwhile, the finished image will have to be put on a banner, thus will need a person capable of doing such.

We don't have much time with less than two weeks till kickoff to pull this off. Where are we at and is there anymore input?

So far, my latest suggests were inspired by users uvwvj and weejie, of which I could split the bounty, then commission some graphics designer to mash together what I've envisioned to date.

Notwithstanding, there still's another side to this banner that SHOULD be utilized.

Any "bounties" I get donate to one of the charities, just let me know which one.  Or I can use it to donate to Wounded Warrior Project via Overstock.

I think I'll end the bounty here, paying half to the two bitcoiners I mentioned above since time is short and more work/bounty opportunities will be needed to complete this endeavor.

uvwvj, please submit to me via PM (or publicly) your Bitcoin wallet address so that I can remit to you $25 USD via BTC (same for weejie, of which I will PM). Also, I could easily suggest to you what charities to consider by pointing to my sig, but rather just give you the money with you deciding what to do with it with no pressure from me.

Thanks, bud.

PS: Pay no attention to the following, for I'm only testing to see if a certain keyboard key is still sticking.  Grin

Genius! A little tweak on an outdated FPGA miner, and what can it do? Mine alt coins.

I received a HashFast Baby Jet yesterday. I'm not sure whether to be happy or upset. One one hand I'm glad my hash rate is +425 Gh... on the other hand I look at how much BTC we paid for the miner and want to puke.  Roll Eyes
Sorry to hear that. Did you pay through Bitpay?

Yep. They sent it before I could get a full BTC refund request in. I had mentioned in their last email about refunds that I would be contacting a lawyer. I guess they thought they better ship that thing fast before I did so...

Welcome to the club of HashAtLast.

Great news for Team HF. On Feb. 1, a Saturday, when they head to their Fedex store to ship more Batch 2 packages, they could walk a half block away and attend http://www.eventbrite.com/e/everything-you-need-to-know-to-build-a-great-team-registration-9740621461?aff=es2&rank=25&sid=ebb4399182f211e3a21912313d225df9

If they now already gett mess with batch 1 and 2 , i guess batch 3 will not be delivered before 31 january, not to disrespect batch 1 and 2 for long waiting. but i guess my batch 3 that i order on 17 november will not be on time. they always promisme me January mid-end shipping. That is also the reason i have order by them. Im just wait as a batch 3 customer till 31 january and then i can get finally my refunds back if im not get my order.  But okay .. the first babyjets is now delivered ..5 from the 550.. what about the sierra's?

These guys are so creative. 550 units shipped from a Ste. 550 address, and Kottmeier living at The Sierra, a condo complex, notwithstanding Baby Jet named after Simon's twins, but luckily Long Dong and Skropenis came along to offer up their expertise to make sure a similar boo-boo doesn't occur again.

The address on the box in the image above is similar to the following:

HASHFAST TECHNOLOGIES LLC
100 BUSH ST, STE 650
SAN FRANCISCO,  CA  94104-3932

I clearly see a STE 550.
The letter in front of USH looks like a G as in Gush.
And there's definitely a 2 in the street address.

Can the address on the package be verified so that I can conduct further Google-fu if it's a new HF address?

http://whatculture.com/tv/5-reasons-bringing-back-monty-python-franchise-terrible-idea-1-reason.php/5

Quote
For many years Python was a decent money-spinner for the group, through VHS then DVD re-issues. It seems, however, that the dead parrot had been comprehensively flogged- promoting the reunion, Michael Palin admitted that ‘Python wasn't earning very much’. Which means that the chief motivator for the shows is profit.

The group has always assiduously merchandised their work, and they've even been upfront about it, calling one of their records ‘The Final Rip-Off’. But with an event like this, it would have been nice if it had been about something more than the need to pay off mortgages and debts. Maybe, say, a celebration of the 45th anniversary of a cultural landmark, or even a reward to the fans who kept the flame alive over the years. As is, the reunion is likely to be no more essential than those VHS and DVD reissues- a hodgepodge of familiar sketches, augmented for reasons of age or death- only vastly more expensive.

Of course, this is all guesswork. They might end up pulling off a triumph. It could, after all, be their last chance. As of the present date, however, it's accountancy that makes the world go round, and that doesn't bode well for July.

Perhaps, The Final Rip-Off Coin would be more appropriate.

4317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Super Bowl XLVIII (2014) Bitcoin commercial in the making? on: January 21, 2014, 08:32:37 PM
My understanding is that these commercials get produced and approved many months in advance, so I doubt Overstock would mention Bitcoin since they just started accepting it a few days ago. But hopefully I'm wrong!

This is true with most large companies, commercials are produced (actually multiple) then tested with focus groups to identify the best response. These are normally completed by October/November time-frame, reviewed in the Month of December. However, anyone can skip the test market piece, try to wait for the last day possible (like January 6th) and submit them to the network. So it is conceivable someone could of created one in late December, did a few day focus group and submitted in early January.

Hence the guerrilla marketing approach. See what I have so far (especially the last few posts): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423615.20
