I've been thinking that btc conference don't have to be in San Jose las Vegas Singapore and what not. They can just be bitcoin festival gathering free entry somewhere on mountain, secret beach, or desert, maybe with free crwdfund free concert, just like those rainbow gathering or those art music love festivals on the west coast. I would love to go, it has more soul than the oficial ones.

Ain't more soul than Thanksgiving at Satoshi Forest, where I is now (albeit, penning this at McDonald's here in Pensacola).

I wanna join a band just to tour around the country but I don't have a ukelele anymore. Someone buy me one.

Can you do this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLgJ7pk0X-s

Yeah. What you can't? :p

Don't give odd a bad name, dude. This is odd!

Have you done anything special or extravagant with your money?

Sure have! I kept my three wallets on InstaWallet totally 1,123+ BTC (probably really 1,132+ BTC), and to this day have yet heard a peep as to what the status is with them, even resubmitting two of the bigger claims, with the smaller claim having multiply claims on it. But, since davout is a mod here, and Boussac released the police report on the same day it was filed, I'm sure my ~$1,335,760 USD is secured, seeing that, according to the "block chain", InstaWallet is still in control of over $2M USD.

Update: Thanks to a piss-poor job by Team Satoshi Forest they did to clear the land, I ran over a sharp 1"+ tree stump and sliced my front tire. When Jason showed up, I put on the donut spare, not realizing I left the jack at home. Jason and Adam left, whereupon I headed out to put air in the spare, for it was low, but not flat. I made it about a mile before I was riding on the rim.

Called A+ towing and had it towed to Walmart to replace both front tires tomorrow, for seriously they were due and I was planning on doing it anyway prior to heading to Las Vegas. But, here's the rub: I'm now in a hotel room here in Pensacola, oppose to sleeping at Satoshi Forest, where there's this fuckin' rooster next door...

Note: Don't go to Walmart in Pensacola, FL, tonight. The place is packed, and I was lucky to get the remaining empty spot by the auto repair section. All the surrounding businesses that are closed today are filled will autos. Oddly, people leaving the store were carrying single bags. I saw no shopping carts. Many were leaving empty-handed.

Shouldn't effect the timeline, for tomorrow afternoon Adam will be swingin' by so that we can go shopping for supplies, then put the six birds in the ground come Saturday.

I dug the imu pit and cleaned up around the place. I procured the wood for the signs of which I'll make Saturday and place on the trees, then snap pics of them in place. Took several pics today, one of half a hole, then a whole hole. Started a fire in the hole to get the embers a goin', using misc. rotten wood on site. Already on hand are bundles of hardwood to heat the rocks/bricks for the Kālua.

Please let me know if some other entity should be on the following list. Please don't request that a name should be remove.

The signs will only have the domain name, i.e. coinapult.com.

This is a great idea but since you are doing it digitally may I and others see your charity or non-profit registration number? Every non-profit and or charity is given one of these by their local government to help others verify their legitimacy.
http://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/CorporationSearch/SearchResultDetail/EntityName/domnp-n13000006546-183111bb-f28f-4b6f-b76d-49c001cf4b09/seans%20outpost/Page1

We are registered, but plenty of "registered" companies do nothing. Verifying legitimacy is about showing results. Google Sean's Outpost of Satoshi Forest, the proof is out there.

They better be legit, otherwise I drove over a thousands miles to dig an imu pit on somebody's property, with the understanding that it's Satoshi Forest.

Sean's Outpost is as legit as it comes, thus no need to worry.

That said, anybody have an extra $1.25 USD in BTC that they want to donate? Each ~$1.25 donated is able to feed one homeless person one nutritious meal.

Atlas, you here? After I leave Satoshi Forest, I'm heading to Las Vegas via I-10 and would have time to visit Austin. Love to treat you for dinner at a nice joint if you're interested. Please PM me for my number.

RASH!

Don't know if caused by the Whataburger I ate, something in the blankets, the cold, poison ivy, oak, or sumac, or from elsewhere, but I have a rash from my beltline all the way down to my knees, mostly on my ass. I even have blood spots in my underwear. Not in pain, but highly uncomfortable.

I'm not allergic to anything, don't think, so assume it'll pass. Going to be diggin' the imu pit shortly and get a little fire goin' in it, readying it for tomorrow. I wonder if there's any alligators in the swamp adjacent to Satoshi Forest.

Did you go tromping around in the woods last night?

Maybe I was sleep-goating.

Hi Rassah, thanks for managing these!

Does it mean that I should top up my address whenever I can to stick to my pledge, or should I resume my donations through the standard vanity address? I have donated only 10 coins so far and have a long way to go. Smiley

Thanks to the rise in the exchange rate, reviewing your initial pledge, unless you have deep pockets, you have a long way to go. I suggest contributing, or adding to the pool whatever you feel comfortable with and can afford, at whatever time frame. You generosity is truly appreciated, gsan.

Thanks once again, xb0x, for your kindness. With the exception of Thanksgiving at Satoshi Forest, I do the easy part pertaining to Sean's Outpost--punching the keyboard--while Jason King of Sean's Outpost does all the heavy lifting. I'm not part of SO, just contributing in my weird way.

Looks like [16], mogrith. I'm running outta words to express my gratitude toward your's and other's generosities. But, I hope it's all good.

Adding the aboves to the tally in a sec after I warm up from bing out in the elements last night.

~TMIBTCITW

Hell no I don't do all the heavy lifting. That would be impossible. This would all NOT be possible without... Mike Kimberl, Adam Richard, Bob Wingartner and my wife Leslie.

And Phin is too damn modest

You lying piece of shit! I'm locking this thread!  Grin Grin Grin

Buy something with bitcoins? What a concept! I've donated a many of them. I did buy all the back issues of Bitcoin Magazine while in Atlanta. Well, Rassah did, but paid him back due to them being stored on the laptop hidden underneath said vendor table under Elizabeth's watchful eye, that is.

Hi. If you would like us to hold and manage your pledge, and limit it to some specific amount in USD per specific charity, I can do that, but I can't hold it in anything other than BTC. I can just hold it in a separate bitcoin address to make it easier to track. You are free to ask for your money, or any portion of it, back at any time, if, for example, your $5k donation ends up being worth way more than combined $30k. The money I hold on behalf of Bitcoin100 are pledges in my care, not donations we claim ownership to as soon as they hit our address.
I'm fine if you prefer holding the donation in BTCs so long as you distribute it equally among the next 50 Bitcoin-100 donations.
For example, if I send you for instance 6.05 BTCs (current exchange rate at Bitstamp is ~826 USD/BTC), each of the next 50 charities should receive 0.121 BTC from this fund regardless of the going rate at the moment. Of course, if 0.121 BTC ends up being worth more than the 1000 USD target at some point, you can report the fund in excess of 1000 USD toward subsequence donations.

Can you please confirm the address where I should send the funds?
