1  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin faces it's biggest threat in America on: May 07, 2017, 04:48:38 AM
... (Correct me if I'm wrong here, I don't live in the US.)

I think you are correct in theory. However we have a very corrupt system compared to say Europe. If market forces were at work in the market now we would have $10/month 100GB service. We would pay $5/month for cable and our cell service would be $20, like in most of the rest of the world. But in America decades of influence and money have created an idiosyncratic and expensive system that is the laughing stock of my friends abroad. The same thing can be seen in pharmaceuticals. We pay twice what the rest of the world pays.

And I'm supposed to believe what ISPs and Cable providers say? After literally 30+ years of bullshit, consolidation, and underhanded dealing?  America, you are about to get fooled a second time. That is a shame on you not them. If we go along with it, we don't deserve freedom.

Isps can kiss my ass if they try that shit....

Half of the working class and lower waged people in America would riot... ISPs would be committing suicide by MOB.. government overthrough utter chaos would insue the citizens of America are already at the point where being taken advantage of is going to make heads start rolling. Keep in mind guns are still extremely easy to get by everyday us citizens. Lmao I do not think that ISPs are stupid enough to follow through with this kind of censorship.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you use Bitcoin if it was proprietary/closed source software? on: May 07, 2017, 04:40:34 AM
Everyone became interested about bitcoin in the beginning is simply because it is an open source software model and if it was a closed source no one would care to invest in it in the first place and like lauda mentioned , Producing any amount of money very quickly and tracking the users are an issue that will come with closed source or centralized structures.
I honestly think we are better off with Bitcoin as open source. The fact that no one can claim it or patent it means we don't have to worry about government or organizational elites fucking "commoners" over all night and all day just because they feel they are above everyone else and thus deserve to be able to steal from everyone else. Open source code is very important for me as far as using Bitcoin goes. I don't want the government or anyone to think they have a right and have the power to Snoop around my transaction logs without my permission. Bitcoin in a form that enables one governmental or organizational entity to have a monopoly over bitcoin would be worthless.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Bitcoins on: May 07, 2017, 04:17:48 AM

I am fascinated by Cryptos, do you think it's feasible that I can actually earn bitcoin without investing fiat. Your thoughts?
Yes there are many ways to earn bitcoin without investing fiat there are PTC, faucets, giveaways and sgnature campaigns but in faucets and PTCs are taking too much time to earn bitcoin, i suggest that you join in signature campaigns but in your rank it will be hard for you to find a signature campaign that accepts newbies even member rank.
Earning Bitcoin without investing Fiat sounds amazing at first, but after you start experiencing just how time consuming it is, as well as the fact that it can be extremely boring. I've found that it is often not worth the time and attention span that it takes to get even as little as $10 of Bitcoin through faucets and ppc sites. I think it would be easier to just invest Fiat currencies into Bitcoin and wait for btc prices to rise. I personally wish I spend like $40-$50 on Bitcoin when it started out and let it sit. My suggestion for earning Bitcoin without investing is too find something you can do for others online and charge a fair amount of btc for those services.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When to leave the game? on: April 24, 2017, 12:37:26 AM
As you know that you need to stop and leave the game? How can you feel this moment. I almost always lose their money because they can't learn when to leave the game. I'm not sorry to lose. I have a lot of money not to lose, but I can't keep the winnings if I'm lucky.

Always leave when you're getting too hot-headed.

Take a shower, get some rest... You know.

When you are hot headed and not thinking properly you are definitely going to gamble more than you can afford to lose.

I mean, I've had so many losses now where I just deposit without thinking and then max bet everything that I own. It's crazy how gambling can get into you.
5  Economy / Goods / Re: Lukey372's Gold/Silver Bullion Shop on: April 24, 2017, 12:31:16 AM
Definitely should add some pics.

Also, if i'm getting your post correctly, you'll be able sell me 1 ounce of gold coin for 90% of the live market spot price?

That's a great deal for anyone interested then.

And you're able to use escrow right?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Up To 1000% Method] Pump&Dump on: April 24, 2017, 12:29:44 AM
Pump and dump groups are using YOU as the pumper.

They release information, you'll buy in some of that coin because you have a subscription, and then the coin price goes up, everyone thinks that it is because of the pump group that the coin has gone up, but it was actually the subscribers themselves who drove the price up.

And what do they get out of this? They charge you for your subscription, and also they get profits too for nothing when they invest early before everyone else knows what they are going to pump.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Probability with martingale question on: April 24, 2017, 12:27:32 AM
Been reading on this forum and elsewhere a bunch about how martingale doesn't work, and I get why with a game like craps or roulette. But I was hoping to have a discussion around a particular game.

Say you have a very large bankroll of 1,000,000usd in this example. You bet .000001 mBTC set on autopilot. You say, less than 80 is a win. So you have about a 79% chance of winning each spin. You win about a fifth of your bet on each spin. On each loss you increase your bet by 6, which covers the loss and earns you a small amount. After a win, the bet returns to original.

What I'm trying to wrap my head around is what the odds are of rolling enough losing spins in a row to lose your massive bankroll. Let's take the million in the example, we increase the bet after each consecutive loss by 6:
.000001
.000006
.000036
.000216
.001296
.007776
.046656
.279936
1.679616
10.077
60.46
362.79
2176.78
13k
78k
470k

So what are the odds then of losing 16 times in a row when any singular spin has about a 79% chance of winning? I get that each spin is independent of the next and is referred to as the "gamblers fallacy" but it seems like losing 16 times in a row is a very small probabaility when singular spins are 79% in your favor.

In experiments, I see three losses in a row with some regularity, 4 too. 5 and 6 are very rare.

Someone tell me what I'm missing here. Seems like you could win if your bankroll was large enough to basically work outside of the very unlikely trend of losing so many times in a row. Sure maybe after a long enough time of doing this you would lose but shouldn't this work if you just slam the game with a big bankroll and then stop?

I see this as materially different than playing a hi/lo 50/50 game since you have no odds in your favor but rather a coin flip.

By my calculations(Don't trust this becasue i'm so shit at maths lol) the probability of 16 losses in a row with 21% chance of losing is 0.00000000143056869%.

It shouldn't happen in your lifetime.

However, it's not worth it if you think about it. Sure, it is possible that you could have 1 million dollars and do this to make a nice profit but honestly, if you calculate all the electricity costs and you wasting your time on a gambling site, plus counterparty risk of the casino doing a runner, then it's not worth it.

You'll probably make as much as you would if you deposited into a bank or did p2p lending.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PEERFLY now offers bitcoin payments for its affiliates. on: April 24, 2017, 12:22:49 AM
PeerFly, one of the world's biggest affiliate networks, has just added BTCBTCBTC payments for its affiliates. Honestly, it's about time. Other networks already did.

Good news for us freelancers, no more huge Paypal fees cutting our well deserved money.

http://blog.peerfly.com/2017/04/20/bitcoin-amazon-payments-now-available-peerfly/

Well this is great news for bitcoin.

And yes, about time too.

Other affiliate networks already accepted bitcoin.

But of course, PeerFly is something that everyone knows about in the affiliate business. And to integrate bitcoin into their business model is something that demonstrate their belief in bitcoin imo.

Anonymous, very popular these days dev.

Anonymity is already being done in zerocoin implementation but masternodes will make this coin in demand always and that is needed at this time, considering the very low supply of coins, it can go a very long way. Like Dash we can also have 2 coins for masternodes and 2 for miners. It will definately have greater effect on Hexxcoin community to develop fast. Its my opinion though I am not so experienced in crypto.

Crown touched 1$ earlier that is biggest surprise for me. Who ever thought this will be turning into huge coin in matter of weeks. I will be back soon just staying to catch safer point as this speculation will not over soon. This is start of appreciation of altcoins.
This is not sudden, it has been in the process....but people started appreciating the work done over three years.. this is just beginning....

Windows wallet not syncing..........any reason!!

When did you download it? Are you using latest version? Can you provide some more details?
I just downloaded yesterday from website link. Not syncing. Plz help

When you say not syncing, do you mean it is taking a long time to sync, if so, how long and how many blocks?

Are you saying it isn't syncing at all, i.e no connections to network?

I need more information to be able to help you.

Synced now.....completely thank you
