1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Raptoreum - POW (GhostRider) | ASIC And FPGA Resistant | Mainnet Is Live on: February 21, 2023, 06:46:30 AM
You need to make sure you are running the new release v1.3.17.02 >> https://github.com/Raptor3um/raptoreum/releases

If you are running a earlier version you need to also re-bootstrap for running 1.3.17.02.

Thanks. Upgrading to the new release and re-bootstraping solved this problem.

My core wallet stuck at 17 Feb 2023 01:28:44
I downloaded the bootstrap but that did not solve.
How do I sync?
any solutions?

@Nthenight tells me I should be more active in this forum, I left it 5 years or more ago because of manipulation of this thread by mods (it was our only source of history, and they deleted a whole bunch of it to create a new narrative) and because of people like the dufus that posted above this.  But OK, I'll try coming back.

BTW Dash is one of the only coins that is NOT a shit coin.  In fact, the most important thing about Dash is that development is NOT funded by any 3rd party like all other cryptos, but rather funded by the structure of the network rewards and voted on how to allocate those funds via vote which is influenced by the community at large.  Anyone can participate.  Of course it goes much deeper than that.

If you are interested in Dash, you should follow the Dash Community at Medium articles

Welcome back Tante. You're missed here.

Problem with DASH Masternode Service >>> moocowmoo@masternode.me

This dude  (below) refuses to cancel a mining contract  using DASH.

https://masternode.me/
moocowmoo@masternode.me
https://www.dash.org/forum/members/moocowmoo.1413/#recent-content

Someone with same problem ?

When you enter the shared masternode service, you should have received a confirmation email. did you keep that email?
in that email, there was insturctions how to automaticaly get back your 25 dash. just reply that email and get your dash back.
I used that service with 25 dash too and it was automatic to get back the 25 dash. But I kept that email from the masternode service and I never delete important emails.

arielbit is posting.

Does that mean Dash is about to take off ? Despite its crippled mining market ?

That is the question  Huh

Not yet. I'm waiting for Icey. if Icey comes back here too than I'll think about some increase in price. Smiley

if any whales here.... do something and get Dash to 18th again (even if for 1 day) so people can get out of this nightmare

We had a big whale named otoh hodling about 500BTC worth of DASH, but it was many years ago.
I think I should get the clue and sold when otoh left.

If anyone thinks Dash is just like any other cryptocurrency out there, you may need a reminder:

DASH since many years is the best curreny. I think we waited and lost lots of time to market it by waiting the long awaited evolution.
Dash platfor (formerly named avolution) is good, yer very good but before that dash is better than most currencies. Lets not wait for it.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: December 15, 2020, 03:51:36 PM
is there any pool for dash masternodes? its so expensive to open a full node. maybe there is something like shared mastednode. who can help me?

https://crowdnode.io/

Or you can check Dash staking on Binance : https://www.binance.com/en/pos (this is the international Binance, not Binance.US !!)
Just remember to divide the percentage for each specific duration, as Binance uses an annual percentage.

30 days : 7.39% / 12 --> 0,61583% per 1 month
60 days : 9.11% / 6   --> 1,51833% per 2 months
90 days : 11.03% / 4 --> 2,7575% per 3 months

Min deposit 1 Dash (?)
Max deposit 500 Dash (?)

* you need to verify above information yourself, as this could be subject to change at any time or i could simply be wrong about this
* these durations (30 days / 60 days / 90 days) can be filled up / sold out on Binance pretty quickly
* be aware you are taking a risk by leaving your coins for a certain period of time on a centralized exchange (it is not in any way a trustless service)
* i would not recommend using Binance.US for Dash staking at this point, they seem to have a more cumbersome proces in place towards its (US) users

Lets do a comparison between Dash Shared Masternodes services annual revenue percentage (calculated in Dash rewards), versus Binance Dash Staking annual revenue (calculated in Dash rewards) just for fun.
Lets use 250 Dash in our example as Dash collateral and lets use Dash annual revenue of 5.67%, versus Binance annual revenue % as mentioned above (7.39% / 9.11% /11.03%)

Source of Dash annual revenue % : https://dash-news.de/dashtv/#curr=USD&value=1000 (most Dash shared masternode services seem to base their annual revenue on that 5.67%)
Source of Dash shared services annual revenue % being mostly at 5.67% : https://www.stakingrewards.com/earn/dash/providers
Source of Binance annual revenue % : https://www.binance.com/en/pos

What this manually created chart of mine is showing (and i hope i am doing this correctly), is the expected Dash shared masternode rewards in Dash versus Binance Dash staking rewards in Dash.

Data used in chart :

Dash

5.67% annual / 12 = 0,4725% per 30 days x 250 Dash / 100 = 1.18125 Dash per 30 days

Binance

7.39% annual / 12 = 0,6158% per 30 days x 250 Dash / 100 = 1.53958 Dash per 30 days

Dash

5.67% annual / 6 = 0,945% per 60 days x 250 Dash / 100 = 2.3625 Dash per 60 days

Binance

9.11% annual / 6 = 1,5183 per 60 days x 250 Dash / 100 = 3.79583 Dash per 60 days

Dash

5.67% annual / 4 = 1,4175% per 90 days x 250 Dash / 100 = 3.54375 Dash per 90 days

Binance

11.03% annual / 4 = 2.7575 per 90 days x 250 Dash / 100 = 6.89375 Dash per 90 days

is binance a good excahne that we can trust a bit?

I used cryptsy before and after that I used poloniex and I was the lucky ones that hear problems about cryptsy from this forum and transfered my dash over poloniex in time.
Now I had to spend most of my dash, I have a nice motorbike and a nice laptop and other stuff, now I have only 5 dash left and I hodl them since 2014. I keep them on dash liux desktop wallet but if 5 dash is enogh for staking it's better than sitting on my computer.

Before, I used moocowmoo's shared masternode services with 25 dash and it was good and when I needed tsome money it was just an automatic with only a mail that time.

can i start mining dash on server computers?

No, you can not.
There are special ASIC devices mining dash. Do you have millions of servers?

I just do not understand? How is a masternode reward is free mones? To run a maternode I need to run a server and not the cheapest server. And I need to risk money in 1000 Dash coleteral, and its the real danger because it may lose its value. so how it is called free money?

And what will happen when coins created from mining will become very little? How miners and masternodes fund? are masternodes gets a divicent from trasaction fees too?

I upgaraded my dash desktop wallet to 0.15 and now it's display is not good.
I'm using Linux version on llinux mint.

The wallet is too big for my 1080p screen and it's windows does not shrink.

if I expand it to se whole screen it's somewhat usable. But it's a complete waste of screen space.

The 0.14 was beautiful, this I did not like.

With Windows we have the option to change High DPI options in the shortcut itself. Which effects how the .exe
behaves in high resolution. Any chance Linux Mint has such an option as well somewhere ?

I saw someone on Github describing the same problem as you are experiencing on the same OS (maybe it was you ?)

https://github.com/dashpay/dash/issues/3344

Hopefully one of the developers will respond to it.

Edit : i saw your thread on dash.org/forum, looks like strophy (member of Dash Dev Team) is aware of this issue.

Thanks Qwizzie.

I'm not that person on github bt the problem is the same.

19  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / Re: KRİPTO PARA BORSASININ MEZARINI BİNANCE KA-ZA-CAK! on: April 26, 2019, 05:35:06 AM

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to DASH on: January 17, 2019, 03:49:01 PM
Well, Dash was used for payment. His privacy allowed his real use.
It dropped harder than other coins, but I still like Dash.

Most of the coins around, including Bitcoin do not have a use case other than speculation. Some coins have some privacy features as main trick but their usage is still tiny. Dash has strong privacy and thanks to instasend, its usable on payments in the stores.
I think dash has the biggest potential to be the coin which used for payments.

But, the world is not a rational world, the best tech does not mean success.
