2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I get hacked, 2.4 bitcoin stolen from coinomi wallet on: March 03, 2022, 02:49:03 PM
I express my deepest sympathy to you. It's very unfortunate that this happened to you, especially when the price of bitcoin is so high that you can really get depressed because of this event. But I'll tell you what - many people, for their own reasons, often threw away their old computers and laptops and then realized that there was a fortune left in bitcoins. I think that you should not think about it a lot - you need to live on and get the most out of your situation. Thanks for sharing your story.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2022, 02:41:39 PM
My mother is 70 years old and she has been asking me for 3 years to buy cryptocurrency for a certain (small) amount of money every month. This is her decision that she made when we discussed the issue of saving money in the face of inflation and the issue of inheritance in general. I fully supported her and began to add my part to her investments - together we have already accumulated a good set of coins, which have grown quite well over the years. This is how my mother, a person far from investments and cryptocurrencies, once made a very right decision. I think there are many such examples.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is refusing to block Russian customer's crypto wallets. on: March 02, 2022, 02:30:07 PM
I donít understand at all how it is possible, because of the actions of the leadership of the country or the government, to punish the population in such "draconian" ways. What will be the effect? What do they expect even just to propose such measures? Do they really think that people who lose their cryptocurrencies will go to the streets of their cities to demand something? This is naive and very dangerous. In addition, it will lead to an outflow of a huge number of customers.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is not at least $75,000 yet? on: March 02, 2022, 02:27:16 PM
The question is not "why?", the question is "when?". Now the whole world is watching the drama in Ukraine. The world economy is in a fever very seriously, and if the war does not end quickly, a crisis is inevitable throughout the world. The question is where will people be saved during this turbulent period? Answer: they will invest in bitcoin not even for profit, but to minimize their losses. Then the price will very quickly go to those levels about which there was a question, and maybe even higher. I think we will see such a situation already during this spring.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To what extent are Russians capable of storing their riches in Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2022, 08:56:38 PM
When the whole world is up in arms against Russia, one should expect that it will be disconnected from all financial mechanisms of the West. If so, then bitcoin will be one of those ways that Russia will go to get around all these restrictions in the financial sector. I think that Russia still occupies a serious position in the global economy - and there will be losses for those who impose sanctions against it.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin private key storage on: February 28, 2022, 08:53:43 PM
When I thought about the security of my keys, at first I wanted to spend money on a "cold" wallet, but then I realized that any storage medium can perform this function. The main thing is not to connect this storage medium anywhere until you decide to use everything that is there. If I'm wrong, please explain to me how an expensive wallet differs from a regular memory card?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia cut off from Swift is fantastic opportunity for bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 03:00:00 PM
I fully agree with the thesis of the author. The number and volume of transactions in bitcoins from Russia will grow, SWIFT may be turned off and this will even cause problems for the financial system of the Russian Federation. But this topic has been discussed for quite a long time and it will not come as a surprise. In addition, there is the factor of losing an "important client". After all, there is a huge amount of money. Why waste this money because of Ukraine? I am sure that this will not happen in any case until Russia is at war with the North Atlantic Alliance.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and international conflict on: February 24, 2022, 02:56:46 PM
Such a situation that is developing in Ukraine threatens not only the price of bitcoin, but also the entire stock market in the world. Oil and gas prices are breaking new records, it seems that prices will continue to rise, as the situation will not magically end. This conflict will last at least 2-3 weeks until the Russians clean up the mess and settle down. So you need to wait, carefully monitor the course and buy at the very bottom. And then, as usual, to the moon! Smiley
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 23, 2022, 06:55:22 PM
Any country that legalizes bitcoin in the context of legalization in its fiscal system, where the state legally fixes a certain percentage for the production or resale of cryptocurrency. I believe that Ukraine will find within itself the intellectual potential to create a cluster in the economy focused only on cryptocurrency and projects related to it.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Environmental Menace on: February 21, 2022, 03:14:17 PM
The threat to the environment has existed since we (all people in developed and developing countries) switched to an industrial way of producing something. As soon as this happened, the inevitable process of chasing profits began, and against the backdrop of ever-increasing competition in the global economy, there are no prerequisites to hope that this process will be stopped or slowed down. And, of course, all this has been happening so long ago that the person who invented bitcoin (whoever he or they may be) had not yet been born. So all this is nonsense.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia's approval of BTC on: February 20, 2022, 02:11:13 PM
Insuring yourself in such a situation is not a bad idea. True, I absolutely cannot believe that Russia, even in the most terrible events, will be disconnected from SWIFT. This is the dumbest thing you can do. Firstly, in recent years Russia has demonstrated an excellent ability to circumvent any sanctions, reduce their impact on the national economy, and secondly, even if this happens, who will benefit from this? When one door closes, another opens somewhere. So it will be here. China will help Russia cope with such a problem, but Russia will never come back.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if crypto mining is outlawed ? on: February 19, 2022, 06:35:11 AM
The ban only means that somewhere else it is possible to remove such a ban or simply place mining facilities there. This has already happened with the People's Republic of China - when, after the ban, miners of cryptocurrencies went to look for new, more profitable places to work. As I understand it, they temporarily found such a place in Kazakhstan, but after the well-known events, such people are increasingly looking towards Russia, since all the conditions for mining are available there today.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 03:35:44 PM
This is a step in the right direction. Despite the deplorable state of the political and economic policy of this country, they are doing the right thing in this matter. This approach will provide attractiveness not only for investment, but also for the influx of personnel who, over time, will be able to create and develop a promising direction in the economy. Ukraine over the past 30 years of its independence has missed (let's face it) many chances and opportunities. But apparently it's time to look ahead and think about the future.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World Governments are Scared of the Popularity of Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 03:29:42 PM
This is logical and quite understandable, such a thesis does not cause me any doubts at all. The government, by definition, must and wants to control everything in order to regulate and influence various processes in society - that's why it is created (many people think so). When they are faced with such processes that they cannot influence today, there are two options left. They can ban or they can "lead" and do their own thing. (but controlled) Which way goes what government we see today.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thief on Bitfinex exchange caught? on: February 17, 2022, 02:54:04 PM
Caught and, as it has already become known, will be convicted in accordance with what the court proves. So far, he is a suspect, and his girlfriend or wife (I did not fully understand) was released on bail of $ 3 million (where does the money come from?). The guy was left behind bars, apparently he was not given bail. In general, this is a sad story because there are no winners in this situation. Unless only law enforcement agencies who managed to catch the suspects in that historical "theft of the century."
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Overthink Potential of Bitcoin on: February 17, 2022, 02:49:41 PM
I think that people in general tend to overestimate and underestimate various events, phenomena, and so on. The fact is that a wide audience has no understanding of either how it works or what it is in principle today. I think only "professionals" can more objectively assess the existing configuration of the blockchain infrastructure operating in this network. Therefore, education is needed so that this problem does not exist in the future.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: February 16, 2022, 02:47:15 PM
It seems I have already spoken in this forum thread - but I will gladly repeat my theses. El Salvador has carried out and continues to carry out a reform in the financial sector that has no analogues in world history. Such an important and bold step is being taken with an eye to the long term. It is not a question of one or two years - it is worth evaluating such efforts after 5-10 years. The population must get used to it, and an appropriate infrastructure must be formed. I am sure that El Salvador and its people will ultimately benefit from this reform.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Remarkable thing about Bitcoin on: February 16, 2022, 02:44:28 PM
The more time passes and the more countries integrate bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in one form or another into the national financial system, the sooner all this will have a multiplier effect for the whole world. Until now, there are a lot of countries and regions on the planet where the population does not receive not only high-quality services in the financial sector - they do not receive them at all. At all. Blockchain can and will definitely change that. Therefore, the future belongs to such solutions, it is not so important how exactly they will be implemented.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Ministry wants to legalize Bitcoin mining in specific areas on: February 16, 2022, 02:38:50 PM
This is the right way - checking in exceptional cases also gives the experience of understanding how it will be later on a countrywide scale. I think that the Republic of Tatarstan will be among the first regions, because it is serious about developing the limits of high technologies - there is even a satellite city of Innopolis. The place where, according to the idea, the Russian "silicon valley" should be formed. How it will be in reality - time will tell, but I think everything will work out in Russia!
