@felix
you mean your fork or joblo's one?
btw i got 256 gb of ram on that dual xeon server
will follow your advices later...
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.4.8, with zcoin support on: October 20, 2016, 08:54:58 AM
so this is default (no -t) run of joblo's miner on dual xeon e5-2690v3
48 threads

(pls don't mind *-3.4.5 folder name, it's a clean 3.4.Cool
-t 12

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.4.8, with zcoin support on: October 20, 2016, 08:34:15 AM
tried cpuminer-xzc, it shows weird (?) 220-230 kh/s hashrate but a pool shows about 60-70 h/s, 48 threads

are you referring to ocminers cpuminer-xzc or cpuminer-opt by joblo?

please share the parameters used to start the miner for further debug, might just be a wrong algo specified
this one is from https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-xzc/releases
command line: cpuminer -a lyra2rev2 -o stratum+tcp://xzc.suprnova.cc:5595 -u ***.*** -p *** -t 48
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.4.8, with zcoin support on: October 18, 2016, 04:08:19 AM
@joblo,
is it normal to have 11-12 h/s on double e5-2690v3 (2x 12cores x 2threads)? tried different amount of threads, 48,12,24 etc
also cpu usage is only 14-15% in taskmanager

at cryptonight algo it got 750 h/s (48 threads)

Read back a page or 2, another user had issues with dual xeons.
default run (no -t option) shows 48 threads so both cpus are in game

@Claymore
is it possible to implement GPU error rate messages like in hwinfo?  tool?
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.2 (Windows/Linux) on: October 05, 2016, 07:06:43 AM
@Claymore
if I connect to a pool with "ETH: Stratum - Connected" but then receive "ETH: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec..." message in the log, does your miner switch to other pool after 3 job timeouts? or what is the logic of switching?
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 1.8.1 with sia, lyra2 and lbry boost - opensource (tpruvot) on: September 11, 2016, 02:19:23 PM
how do you set difficulty on lbry pools other then yiimp? "-n" switch?
if i mine on pool.mn, it takes some time to increase difficulty by the pool and get the full speed of my 1070 (about 270-280 mhps)
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.4 (Windows/Linux) on: September 06, 2016, 08:36:15 AM
maybe disabling-enabling specific device is enough? i used devmanview ages ago to disable-enable a GPU from command-line in case of driver errors without reboot
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: August 31, 2016, 03:43:30 AM
it's rather easy to resurrect dead rx480 card (by bad bios flash) this way http://www.overclock.net/t/593427/how-to-unbrick-your-bricked-graphics-card-fix-a-failed-bios-flash/230#post_25463481
in case of non-ref card just find the bios chip and follow the steps above
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: August 31, 2016, 03:41:40 AM
ref cards have AMD logo above pci-e connector
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.4 (Windows/Linux) on: August 30, 2016, 08:30:47 AM
PandaPanda!, it's a feature, rtfm. It's off, eth only, dual mining switch
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Die 5 RX480 (Reference) on: August 30, 2016, 08:29:07 AM
they just die, replace it by warranty
