501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zimstake (ZS) - NOW PURE POS - No IPO / PreMine - SHA-256 - FUN on: July 30, 2014, 05:22:56 PM
Greetings,

Some (provably fair) dice games have been created for Zimstake:

http://cryptap.us/zs/dice

Feedback is welcome.

played 4;1 lost 2 zim in 4 rounds played 10:1 never won played ABOUT TEN ROUNDS

If you are questioning if you really did lose those games, they are provably fair. Once the secret key for today is published I invite you to use the provided code to check my work. If you (or anyone) find a flaw in the logic I think a bounty would be in order and I would gladly pay, say 500 ZS.

my thoughts

site is bland no colors or pictures
game needs a chatroom with random lotto
game needs to be fun like spin a wheel or pick a box

overall  3/10 sorry way more fun games out there  that are less random. as a gambler i want to do something other than paste addys and send coin

also a player wallet would be great than i could deposit my fun money and play rather than pasting addys  if u want help with pictures animations let me know ive done 100's of billboards

this is my fav game  www.luckyb.it

Noted. The games you describe all sound like odds-based games so the logic exists to create them. I should say that I have no interest in creating games that use deposits and having to run a hot-wallet. I am much more interested in games that use the blockchain, like Satoshi Dice (which makes the games usable on any platform like android). The site look is addressed in my next post, SrsCrypto has already kindly pinged me with css help, otherwise I appreciate your offer of assistance. My interest is in game logic so if the community has artistic input I welcome integrating it.

Thanks for the feedback!

User roadies did in fact find a flaw in these games that has been fixed for some of my other projects, I have payed him a bounty:

500 ZS to E9heGit3jzKB8Vf466NDSY386Rpp9sLRxA, txid: d9b6aefc2feac6d4f927c6ee3624b79973dc53c780c8ef3138ae84d76acbf097

Unfortunately, due to limited resources these games will not return.

Maybe you need to put a little more work on your css. It seems broken/unused.

If you are speaking about the main page, yes there is currently no CSS. At some point that may change, but due to limited time resources services are focused on content at the moment.

Thanks for the feedback.

The faucet has been updated with a vanity deposit address:

Note that the old deposit address will still work. I've also slowed the payout rate to 0.01% of the balance to slow the depletion. Feel free to drop some coins in if you feel generous.

A few notes:
  • I only take interest in projects that I see have some interesting quality / offer some innovation.
  • The project must have been launched fairly with no pre-mine or insta-mine.
  • My time is limited. Updates can be slow but purposeful. This is my hobby, not my job, don't expect instant satisfaction.
  • The above being true, you cannot pay me to work on your project.

511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / UNO Brainwallet on: July 03, 2014, 05:09:34 AM
Greetings,

A brainwallet is now available for Unobtanium:

http://cryptap.us/uno/brainwallet

This gives you the ability to store UNO in your mind. You can create a wallet, and build and sign transactions on the "Transactions" tab. Once you have a raw transaction signed you can use a companion service "pushtx" to push the raw signed transaction onto the Unobtanium network:

http://cryptap.us/uno/pushtx

Please note, a brain wallet is only as secure as the pass-phrase used to generate it. Please use strong pass-phrases!

The real feature this provides, though, is the "Transactions" tab. You can now spend UNO directly from your paper or physical wallet without using the UNO client. I would suggest playing with small amounts of UNO doing this until you are comfortable.

All transactions and keys are operated on via client-side javascript, no private keys are transmitted.

Feedback is welcome.

Myrbaby proposal

It has come to my attention that one of our own, foodies123 (and his better half), are expecting a child. Having experienced this before I think it appropriate to help the upcoming new parents and child out. I have created a new vanity address:

MMyrbabYwLtGFLoqxCTzC3j91KBG5otx6z

and will momentarily send foodies the private key. I propose that we, as a kind gesture, help them out with donations. Diapers, formula, medical costs, all that add up quite quickly. I know foodies would never ask, and this is not meant to be charity, but to show appreciation for his work. No doubt that most of you are aware that he has spent many hours on this project.

I have started off the address, please feel free to add to it.

In the interest of transparency, foodies is welcome to comment that he indeed has received the private key, and is welcome to transfer to the funds to another address and we can use that if deemed appropriate.

Greetings All,

I have disabled the random address generator on the brainwallet site due to some concerns over the implementation (link). I have also added a note on the brainwallet site:

http://cryptap.us/myr/brainwallet

If you have generated a random address using that site, I would advise moving your coins to another address as a precaution. Using the brainwallet site for creating brainwallets, or to create and spend transactions from paperwallets or brainwallets is still perfectly safe.

To be clear, the paperwallets created on the paperwallet site are safe.

I am still investigating this and will update the brainwallet site when more information is available.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting public address from scriptSig (for an altcoin varient) on: June 25, 2014, 01:00:23 PM
My point was that I'm not sure you can assume that "output #1" was the pair that you were interested in, it might be the 2nd, etc.

What?

You don't assume anything.   Every input refers to a specific exact output.

"txid" : "d12adf1ae575830b4e8d9e1178ccbaf4f22db106b2f268705445d21d17ac815f",
            "vout" : 1,

Note the bolded portion.   vout refers the to output index and it is a zero based index so "1" = 2nd output.  If it was "0" it would be the 1st output and if it was "128" it would be the 129th output of that tx.  There is no assumptions involved.

OK, thanks for the clarification.

Thank you all for your insight.

I guess I'm not totally satisfied with that answer. I see what you are saying but then why does every bitcoin/altcoin transaction scriptSig "asm" have two parts?
Valid scriptSig must correspond the previous output.
If output is PAY_TO_PUBKEY_HASH (the most popular one) I should provide signature and my public key.
So there are two pushes in scriptSig.

For output type PAY_TO_PUBKEY you already provide my public key in your output. So, I should put only the signature in scriptSig

There are other script types.

Ah.. This is what I was looking for. Thanks for this.

By the way, I think you have to be careful with looking at a previous output to get a sending address. If there are multiple outputs in the previous output you will need to verify which one is the correct one...
No-no-no! Stop here and read manuals again

The transaction may have more than one output.
Each output is a pair of value and script.

When I receive transaction from the network i do the following:
1) Is it correct? If yes - continue.
2) Are the output scripts known by my client? If yes - continue
3) Can I redeem(resend, forward) this outputs later? If yes - wow! Somebody sent me money!

Read carefuly https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Script#Scripts please

My point was that I'm not sure you can assume that "output #1" was the pair that you were interested in, it might be the 2nd, etc.

Thanks for the insight!
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting public address from scriptSig (for an altcoin varient) on: June 24, 2014, 06:35:43 PM
There is no address-info in scriptSig
You have to take the previous transaction and look at its outputs

this is spending PAY_TO_PUBKEY output

you can not get pubkey (and address) from this data.
you should take d12adf1ae575830b4e8d9e1178ccbaf4f22db106b2f268705445d21d17ac815f and look at its output #1

I guess I'm not totally satisfied with that answer. I see what you are saying but then why does every bitcoin/altcoin transaction scriptSig "asm" have two parts? Under what circumstances does that not happen? My guess is that that's just the way the client is coded, and that a valid transaction need not include a two part scriptSig, but that's just a guess...

By the way, I think you have to be careful with looking at a previous output to get a sending address. If there are multiple outputs in the previous output you will need to verify which one is the correct one...

Greetings All,

I've created another UNO faucet:

http://cryptap.us/uno/faucet

This faucet pays 0.01% of it's balance (once per 24hr per address/IP). What this means is that as long as there are coins in the faucet to cover the transaction fee, it will pay out instantly. The goal is to perhaps help with increasing the transaction rate and maybe it will be a good way to increase liquidity...

Feel free to drop coins in the faucet if you like, the address is on the site.

Regards,

yo cryptapus, new site looks great but you have the same address listed for all your dice games (the address for the 95% game).  I'm tryin to roll big over here!

Thanks for the catch. Fixed, send me an UNO address for a small bounty. Smiley
