521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Another UNO faucet on: June 22, 2014, 03:22:34 AM
Greetings All,

I've created another UNO faucet:

http://cryptap.us/uno/faucet

This faucet pays 0.01% of it's balance (once per 24hr per address/IP). What this means is that as long as there are coins in the faucet to cover the transaction fee, it will pay out instantly. The goal is to perhaps help with increasing the transaction rate and maybe it will be a good way to increase liquidity...

Feel free to drop coins in the faucet if you like, the address is on the site.

Regards,

I'm posting this in the Bitcoin Tech. Support as I'm not sure where to go with this, moderators please feel free to move this if it is more appropriate elsewhere. I understand this is for an altcoin that most bitcoin brains will not look at the source, nor care, and I fully expect not to receive a response. I am interested in this more to be educated than anything else...

The "asm" line is quite short and has no break in it. Also, the "hex" line seems to show just the signature. My guess is that this particular altcoin clone is attempting to hide the sender by only supplying the signed input(?)

Any ideas?

Greetings All,

Does anyone know of another MYR block explorer that is running Abe on port 80 besides explorerino.com?

The brainwallet transactions tab could use a backup source. Explorerino hasn't been updated since around block 194160. I need Abe to run on port 80 for technical reasons, otherwise I'd use foodies explorer...

Dice:

2 times lose 50% = 2 * 2500
1 time lose 49% = 5000

great...  Roll Eyes

Sorry for your loss.... If you're wondering if the games are fair you can use the python code at the bottom of the page to prove that the results are correct (you may have to wait a bit for the secret_key for your game time to be published).

All proceeds from the dice games will currently go towards Myriadcoin development. Play for a good cause!

Addresses, rules, results and proof can be viewed here:

http://cryptap.us/myr/dice/

Since this is currently for charity, the 500 MYR bounty for flaws is rescinded. If you do find a flaw I will gladly refund any lost coins, PM me.

Feedback is welcome.

There is a new game on the dice page, a coinbomb game (also known as "hot potato"). Please let me know if there are any issues.

Another new game has been added to the dice page, a transparent Ponzi game. Invest early to receive 110% of your investment (please read the link in the rules if you seriously do not know what a Ponzi scheme is).

As always, feedback is welcome.

The first version for testing is ready of the Myriadcoin Android Wallet:

Download:

If you have problems, send in the bug reports or send me a PM.

Installed on galaxy note 2, cyanogenmod 10.2. Works flawlessly (wish there were more active nodes, but that will come, not the client's fault).

As expected, dice games work well with this app, I'm happily gambling MYR while away from my qt client....

People, take advantage of the "donate" function in this client and send hashengineering some MYR, well deserved.

The faucet has been reworked a bit. It will now drip once every 24 hours to each address/IP and has some protection against TOR exit nodes. If you're feeling generous feel free to drop some coins in. The deposit address is on the site:

Please let me know if there are any issues.

Greetings,

Some (provably fair) dice games have been created for Zimstake:

http://cryptap.us/zs/dice

Feedback is welcome.

Three new "coinbomb" games (also known as "hot-potato") have been added to the dice site.

A new Transparent Ponzi game has been created:

http://cryptap.us/zs/dice

Feedback is welcome.

User roadies may have found an issue with these games. I have temporarily closed them to investigate.

Edit:
If anyone else has transactions that don't show in the game logs please PM me and include a transaction id for a refund (it must be proven in the block explorer).

...

Most people will probably be using it for the 2-sided public/private key combination, same as paper wallet for safe storage of MYR coins, but much more durable (can't accidentally put it in the washer and lose the coins).  Paper wallets can be dangerous if you don't understand that you have to take out all of the coins (due to the lack of change address that the qt client does in the background).

...

You can use the brainwallet "transactions" tab to send only part of the coins from a paperwallet (or any private key, woodwallet, etc. bip38 or not). Just follow the instructions on the page and add the paper wallet address as one of the "destination" addresses with the amount of change you wish to return to the address and a transaction will be built for you.

interested in the brainwallet. can you tell me more about it.. how is it secure if i type the password in a browser? how to access coins ya kno the basic rundown. any tips too would be greatly appreciated Smiley

Here is a good explanation about the benefits and risks of a brainwallet. It is for bitcoin, but myriad's brainwallet works the same way:

http://www.coindesk.com/how-to-create-a-brain-wallet/

As far as creating transactions and using the brainwallet site in a browser is concerned, all information: keys, transactions, etc. is done via client-side javascript, so no information is passed on the web (hence there is no need for ssl). The one exception to this is that in order to create a transaction, information about the address needs to be fetched from a blockexplorer. Note that the key is not used to do this, just the public address which is, of course, public.

Once your "raw transaction" is generated, you can pass that on using the pushtx service (http://cryptap.us/myr/pushtx). This does not need to be encrypted as the transaction is already signed and will become public once the transaction is accepted on the network.

Also to note, the brainwallet site cannot decrypt your bip38 private key, you will need to use the paper wallet site (http://cryptap.us/myr/paperwallet.html) to decrypt the bip38 key and retrieve the unencrypted WIF private key for use on the brainwallet site (http://cryptap.us/myr/brainwallet).

I would recommend playing with a small amount of MYR on the site until you feel comfortable using it. Remember that you can always just "importprivkey <your-unencrypted-private-key>" in the qt client to fetch your coins if you get stuck.

Hopefully that is clear as mud now. I'm sure there are others who can explain it better, feel free to keep asking questions here...
