Hey hey hey, long time no see.
3 years has passed since I posted, project is still alive and moving forward.
I am posting here on a special occasion - if you have passed KYC and have available pi tokens in your pi wallet, I would like to buy them from you.
DM me and we will negotiate the price.

Have a wonderful day!

Still buying!

I am giving away 1 free pi coin, just join with the link below:

I am sending you 1π! Pi is a new digital currency developed by Stanford PhDs, with over 3.5 million members worldwide. To claim your Pi, follow this link https://minepi.com/Mntt and use my username (Mntt) as your invitation code.

How will you give away 1 pi when it's not possible to send/receive yet?!

Yes it is still not possible to send. You get 1 coin in your wallet by registering with my link.

Is this coin have any chance to grow, does mining affect in any way battery of the phone?

The claim of mining without draining the battery as previously mentioned is pretty much BS if you ask me.

You can try it for yourself for a few days. After that, come here and share your experience. Don't call it BS if you didn't try.

I heard that for many people, reward conditions have changed and they only get rewards after depositing 250€, but my promo code still works, and you only need to deposit 15€ and buy bitcoin for 15€. Don't miss out.

Do you have proof yours remains unaffected?

Well my "invite a friend" link says exactly that, so I guess that is my proof.

What is going to be the value of Pi.

Impossible to predict. Token is still in development, right now they are working on in-app transactions.

One of the interesting things I've heard from the Minepi network is that there is a Stanford PHD there, but I don't know for sure what they are doing. Can the OP explain a little about them?

So the team consists of 3 members right now: Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis, Dr. Chengdiao Fan, Vincent McPhillip. You can google them and find Linkedin's, and other information about them, they seem legit as Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis (head of tech) is teaching about blockchain app design and decentralized apps.
Few days ago they announced in the app, that they are searching for people who can contribute to the project in many areas. You can download an app, register and take the survey and contribute to the project if, of course, this is interesting to you.

I downloaded the app - you forgot to mention that it is needed to disclose your full name in order to claim the coins.

Yes you enter your full name, but you don't do KYC. Also, you can hide your name after registration, and only show your nickname.

Well I think it is a lot better when you get introduced to a project where you can contribute, earn free tokens and you don't invest anything (except maybe a little time). Rather than get introduced to a project and you get pushed to buy something or invest, before you earn something. That is one of the reasons why I have joined.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pi network on: August 02, 2019, 11:18:49 AM
So why would these free tokens ever be worth anything?
Is it going to be adapted by people to use for what, payments and in the future it will have value?
Just because it can be mined on phones?

I've seen this spammed a lot lately and I'm not getting why people would use this.
The only people who has reason to promote it is those who get the free tokens early on in hopes of it being worth something later.

Yes of course we hope it will be worth something, but best thing you need to invest 0$ so you lose nothing if this is worth nothing and project goes down.
Why I believe it can have success is that it is different from other mobile coins, Electroneum for example which uses proof of work and puts heavy pressure on your phone and battery. Mining pi is effortless because of their consensus algorithms.

But ask yourself, why would anyone ever use this? Really.
Because it's different from other mobile coins. So what? Users who are going to use it to transact (the people who would buy your tokens) wouldn't care right.

You can ask this question for every project, bitcoin for example does it have a future? truly? with such wasteful mining algorithm. Many people would argue. Well it started from something, now it has reached some adoption. The same goes here, project looks good like many others, the main problem is how you reach global adoption. And having 200k + community right now in beta phase is a good start, which many projects even in top 100 coinmarketcap don't have and will go down eventually.

After we reach 1M users, mining rewards will be halved.
Are you sure you ever will reach 10000000 users???

I dont know, but I know, that we reached 200k users yesterday, and number keeps increasing. Pretty good for a project that is still in beta phase.
