Awesome! Just got home and we've made it onto two exchanges! Guess i owe you 0.015 for not matching your votes! edit: who is selling so cheap on Lazycoins?!? edit, edit: an now on coins-e. Lets set a base price a lot higher than that! Min 10,000 - see someone is selling at that already. Will sell some of mine from there up when coins get across. IF we get a good price then more miners, higher hashrate, harder it is to get, higher the price! No way ! This must be a scam !!! LOL

Especially for the ones who got lucky and fund some blocks :
What type of passphrase did you use ? -1 word with many characters, including some odd/special ones like *^$^%# -2 same structure as given by the wallet gui when you activate a new account -3 does not matter -4 other

Everything worked just fine, until I made a restart. Now I get these error messages when running mine.bat :

After the plots making it's done, if I want to increase some more GB what I've to do?! simply increase plot numbers, so if you started with "run_generate ACC_ID 1 2001 1000 1", then do " run_generate ACC_ID 2002 4002 1000 1" the generator will make a new plot file in the plot folder, the miner will just read both files. starting_nonce, number_of_nonces, number_of_plots_to_stagger_together, threads. 1st run : ...1 2001 1000 1 -> 2nd run :...2002 4002 1000 1 Should be : ^ 1st run : ...1 2001 1000 1 -> 2nd run :...2002 2001 1000 1 ^ Because it is the amount to be created and not the last one written. Or am I wrong about this ?

I wonder for how much longer all these new coins will keep popping up.
Currently there seems to be no end to it. They just keep popping up every day.

No PoS blocks have been minted for about 10 days. With everyone's help a few different versions of a possible fix are being tested. It is going slower than i hoped, of course i want a instant fix. I am as anxious as anyone to get it finished. I am still confident that we can get a fix soon. I am trying to coordinate this fix and help it along the best i can, right now that has been gathering info and sharing it between diff devs, compiling and testing.
I can't speak for everyone but I prefer a thorough, if slow fix to a hasty one any day. I understand that some may be depending on this income but this is a hard fork and must be executed correctly to protect/secure everyone's investment. For what it's worth, I think you're doing the right thing here by erring on the side of caution. Oh, and thanks for the updates. +1 Rushing a fix could cause indeed havoc, so please take your time with this. Worst part is that TEK owners have to wait, but on the plus the coins gain a lot of weight + interest.

I found it a bit unwieldy to look in the coins control dialog for the date to work out whether any coins are to stake soon, so I added a column with the coin age in days - close to 8.8 means they're about to stake. http://pastebin.com/14NdWswbI can change it to subtract 8.8 (so negative means not staking yet) if people prefer it that way (as it may not be well known the min stake age is 8.8 days). Should apply to latest master with "git apply filename" with the file you saved the patch to. It would be great if cc ( CoinControl ) would remember last column positions and view mode. Different users = different preferences. I prefer tree view and sort by labels since I use 9 different labelled addresses.

Can someone help me out with understanding how a currency that potentially inflates 40% inflation every 30 days is viable?
- So far, growth has outpaced inflation. - 30 days is a long time in the cryptoworld. Many don't have the patience to stake. - Low, consistent POW reward. - At any given time, many coins are parked on Cryptsy likely in cold storage. - Coins do get lost. - Some who hold TEK won't, can't or will forget to stake. - Increasing difficulty will eventually limit POS rewards. - Increasing utility, distribution, value and velocity will undermine staking. - If all else fails, the code can be adjusted to compensate. Then we can also add that TEK is quite "old", see op for the launch date. If you check the trading history you will see that TEK has been a steady performer. Get some now while they are still cheap and see for yourself !
