This, to me, says there were artists that created this cartoon and they held a contest on what caption goes best with the image. I told you privately I was going to post something this weekend to garnish a community consensus, but based on what I'm seing here today, I don't think it's necessary. If theymos thinks I was out of line with this feedback, he is welcome to call me out on it. 1) If someone from the contest used someone else image (even stock image) or idea should be considered plagiarism. There is no "true plagiarism" or "little plagiarism" there is only plagiarism. And if I look on the entries of the contest 90% are plagiarized.
2) The image I downloaded from freedommag.org made by an unknown artist is also plagiarized since he used da Vinci's idea (the last supper).
In my personal case, if using the image of someone who plagiarized da Vinci without giving credits is consider plagiarism, then I plagiarized the "unknown plagiarist" for 1 day (between the post and the added credits edit) so please ask a moderator/admin to remove all the merits received between or subtract them from the contest if removing them is not possible. My mistake, I can accept it.
1) Stock imagery is used all the time, various images online have various usage rights. A free public domain image that has no usage rights and is free for personal or commercial use, IMO, does not necessarily require credits in this situation. A stock image could depend on the type of usage rights a person has been granted when acquiring it. You appear to be getting into copyright infringement, which I think is worse than generalized plagiarism, as you are defining it. The two terms could go hand in hand but there are some differences. 2) It appears to me that "staff artists" created the image, as per my comment above. Apparently your archive link is pointing October 19 for the post without reference and not October 21. And as a side fact the original source is unknown because the base image is from a contest from 2011 but I credited freedom.org anyway because they held the contest. One member, which received more than 100 merit in the art contest topic, wrote that he took the "base image" from another website, but at the same time his nickname is specified on the picture.
I suppose, this can make a confusion that this user painted most of the image. I wouldn't know if this is "common" to do on artwork or not, but it is indeed confusing. Note that he originally posted it without Credits, and edited his post 2 days later. I can't know for sure when during those 2 days the Credits were added. It's still funny and fits the contest. I am watching this project since its inception and I didn't saw a more dedicated team and skilled at the same time on any project out there. The commitment is at the highest levels on Bismuth and the recent community implication implementation (community voting implementation) is another feature which makes me appreciate the guys behind this project. Looking more in depth especially on Github you can see the amount of work they put and the skills of the developers.
To make a fully functional blockchain from scratch in Python and implement this amount of features is telling everything about the developers, they simply rock. In comparison I think of Tezos which took 1 year to launch a blockchain with 30+ developers and hundred of millions of dollars. We could talk about Ethereum which struggle for years now to move to POS. And the examples can continue until morning if you wish.
Why I am telling this?
1) Because I love this project and of course is a rare life changing project, is not about if is all about when, because is just a matter of time until it will explode in terms of price, at $0.10 is just ridiculous cheap, buy it and thank me later.
2) Because I want to thank the team and all the people involved in this project and I want to tell you to keep doing what are you doing because you are doing a great job. Hat off!

Hello everyone, Thanks a lot to participants for your submissions !  Keep them coming, this is getting better and better. Still a few days left to participate ! I'll make a few cards today with some of the designs that have been uploaded here, like I did a few days ago. We'll see better how it renders.
Please, avoid to put a BTC address, and no BTC amount as well. It's difficult to make a functional wallet out of these. We can always put our QR code on top of the one on the card, however it is not that easy to mask the address/denomination. Thanks Hello I can provide my options without an address, a QR code and a amount of BTC, if it will be necessary. It seems it does, I'm afraid It seems that people/participants don't read the thread posts or simply they don't like to comply when someone is asking them to do something, since I don't find an explanation why to work extra to put a bitcoin address and a QR code when @yogg asked you not to do so. I used to receive it, but the same goes off by the end of the month. Once again it gets received based on the activity, and by the end of the month it goes off. This means we're supposed to tip it to content creators appreciating their efforts. I tried to move to a wallet, and it wasn't possible at the moment.
Meaning those earning from the ads cant widraw and can only be use for tipping creators? I understood it this way too ... Can anyone confirm that he has withdraw earnings to own wallet or to the exchange? I didn't made an withdrawal yet because of the low amount of BAT in my wallet but since Brave asked to backup the wallet this means you can withdrawal your coins. The trick is that you will need to verify your account with Uphold before making a withdrawal, meaning you'll need to pass their KYC (full KYC) ID verification and all the stuff. |

Glad to see pow mining staying with reduced rewards although I will probably never end up with a hypernode at this point. Has anyone upgraded a legacy wallet to the latest hardfork wallet and if so did you encounter any issues?
You can always buy the missing coins for your HyperNode As for the upgrade it went smooth on my side, I upgraded my VPS hypernodes yesterday and they are working well for about 20h. |

Nu stiu daca Moldova si Romania au format candva o singura tara sau ceva de genul asta. Sunt sigur ca gasesti mai multe informatii despre asta pe internet. Eu ma duc, dar mi-e teama ca prea multi vor absenta (poate mult mai multi decat ieri), fie din dezamagire, fie crezand ca jocurile sunt facute. Pentru cei care nu-s convinsi: meciul se termina doar dupa ce a fluierat arbitrul.Asta ramane de vazut (daca vor absenta mai multi sau nu) mai multe persoane cu care am vorbit despre votare n-au fost la vot in turul intai insa vor merge in turul al doilea. Intradevar sunt si unele persoane care cred ca jocurile sunt facute deja asa cum ai precizat si tu, dar nimic nu este sigur asa ca eu personal voi merge sa votez. |

Sper ca da Dupa cum probabil stiti in turul doi au ajuns Iohannis si Dancila. Intrebarea multora este (nu si cazul meu): sa merg sa votez, in cazul de fata, contracandidatul lui Dancila (vot negativ) sau sa nu merg deloc? Cel mai bine este sa te duci si sa votezi pe bune, daca nu te duci, exita riscul, pentru ca suntem in RO, sa voteze altcineva cu identitatea ta.Nici sa mergi si sa anulezi votul nu este ok pentru ca toate voturile anulate se vor impatii in mod egal celor doi candidati, deci faci mai mult rau decat bine.Stiu ca nu avem ce alege dar totusi fiecare trebuie sa aleaga raul mai mic din punctul sau de vedere. Asa ca, la vot toata lumea in turul 2. Poate in alti 30 de ani se vor schimba unele lucruri:D Eu cu siguranta voi merge. For me is a nickname I use on a game I played long time ago (LineageII) and I also used it on here just because it was available, I really didn't thought about it very much back in the days. At the origins: I took my name and englished it a bit to fit better in the online space where the predominant language is English.

I prefer paper wallets purely from security reasons. I know I may use and I also have a hardware wallet, but since I don't use BTC regularly and I also don't trust 3rd party apps I keep my BTC in a paper wallet. Maybe I am a bit paranoid but it is just the way I am |

I've made a simple yet on point card design for the event. I was thinking of a silver-gradient card. As you can see I've used this in combination with the bitcoin/bitcointalk colors which in my opinion looks great.
