8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [bipoon.com] Bipoon - Build your custom trading bot on Neural Network on: December 14, 2019, 08:37:41 PM
Recently we had quite a lot of questions on how the platform operates, how to fill in certain fields, set up parameters, etc.

We decided to make the Quick start guide:

Step 1. Create your custom algorithm
  • Login to https://bipoon.com:11525/
  • Select “Create an Algo” and press “Enter”. Type your algorithm’s name and press “Enter”
  • Select “Trade Symbol” (on Kraken or Bitmex) and “Base algorithm” (only NeuralNet atm)
  • “Start learning” process (select an item and press “Enter”) which takes 2 minutes approx.

Step 2. Set up a bot
  • Go to “Create a bot” in the main menu and press “Enter”. Type your bot’s name
  • Select “Trade Symbol” you want your bot to trade and “Algorithm” which generates signals for the bot. “Selected" should appear next to the selected trade symbol and the algorithm
  • Go to “Open position” and select “open type” (buy&sell, buy/sell only), size to trade (for Kraken, input value in coins; for Bitmex - in contracts), order type (market or limit) and trading mode (demo or live)

Your algorithm and bot are now up and running!

Useful tips:
- go to “Dashboard” to see current signal and bot’s open position. When the first signal is generated, your bot will make a trade automatically
- create a bunch of “algorithm-bot” sets (say, 5-7) and track their performance in Bot or Algorithm settings menu
- each algorithm gets its own parameters via a learning process. You can assess its performance on historical chart. If you don’t like it, them re-train your algorithm. You can do it as many times as you want to get appropriate results
- set up risk-management parameters (target profit and loss) for each bot. When hit, bot stops trading.

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: automated Crypto Trading - Results 7% profit after 1 month on: December 11, 2019, 02:30:28 PM

Yup. Canned transactions are best left to bots but leaving the core of trading to it is basically a stupid idea.

Having a monotonous non - learning mechanism handle your funds is basically a suicide. If you were willing to update it every now and then, it could be a great bot but in the end, it would defeat the purpose of using bots.

If someone, however, were able to develop a self - learning AI that could be implemented to a bot, now that would be a worthwhile investment. Unfortunately, AI's are still quite far from us or from being developed.

This!
The problem is that many of us confuse 2 different entities: bot and algorithm.
In the majority of cases the bot and the algoritm are 1 entity, because algorithm is something set in stone (fixed parameters, set of indicators, patterns etc..) and hard-coded in bot trading process.

In order to be profitable for users in the long run using 3d-party bot, you have to be aware at least of how the algortihm is managed (how often it's optimized by devs/traders).

But if "devs/traders" have a profitable algorithm, why will they make it public?
Thus, the only solution is to develop "self-learning" algorithm/module and give it to users, so they can optimize whenever they want and, thus, make it custom.

We've developed this kind of Neural Network module for ourselves and now decided to run an experiment and make it public.
The idea is that each user can create its own neural network-based algorithm and (what's more important!!) start a re-learning process when equity curve starts to show negative results. Thus, a user himself can "optimize" his custom algorithm in due time.

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading strategies could a trading bot implement? on: December 10, 2019, 08:12:49 AM

You need a third part website to show the traders trading history, you can know his assets / trades / profit ..etc clearly, then you will know what kind of trader he is. I don't believe in any trading bot, because market are changing in every seconds, it won't have any bots writen by some codes can foreknow the markets trend.

And i know some people will say , how about quant trading? Yes, i am a quanter , i have my own trading machine but not a bot which will run by itself forever. I need to focus on market and coding to make sure the machine will do the right things, not easy like 'a bot' .

But if you have a possibility as a user to tweak/re-learn your algorithm on demand, would you consider to try out this kind of bot trading service?
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best trading bot 2019 on: December 08, 2019, 10:26:32 PM
No coding or trading experience required. Re-learning process is completely automated and executed on server side. The only thing you have to do is to press "Enter" button and wait approx for 2 minutes.
Wait what? You don't have anything to do but to press the enter button? So where is the essence of trading on that? where is the risk? I'm not into trading bots, but I like the idea of automatic trading however if it happens that all of us will use a trading bot we will just cause a stability in the market since everyone is on waiting line. "No trading experience required" I think that is rigged, it's like offerring free money to anyone who's interested on looking to that platform which I in my opinion a true good to be true thingy.

Yes, that's the case with Neural Networks learning process for the users. We've tried to make everything as simple as possible.
As for "stability in the market and waiting line", it's true if we would've implemented "linear" algorithms based on indicators/chart patterns. When you have only 1 algorithm for a lot of traders it's no doubt it has its liquidity limits.

With Neural Networks it's another case. Each user creates its own custom algorithm via running a learning process. Each algorithm gets its own entry/exit parameters (randomly). Of course, if you running the learning process at the same time on the same historical data set, more likely you'll get pretty similar algorithms.

It's not free money. You have to do your homework. Let me explain:

1/ You have to assess algorithm's historical performance (back-test results)
2/ Even if back-test is positive, there's a certain degree of probability that it'll generate losses in front-test/live trading.
3/ Taking into consideration the aforementioned statement you have to apply risk-management and run "portfolio" strategy. I mean that you have to train 5-10 Neural Netwotks and launch in live trading 5-10 bots based on them.
4/ Every Neural Network-based algorithm has limited lifetime due to ever-changing market. You have to re-learn it or it'll generate "out-of-date signals".

So, risk-management + assessment (which algo and when to re-learn) is completely on user's side.
Neural Networks only generate a decent entry/exit signal in this case.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best trading bot 2019 on: December 07, 2019, 09:56:42 PM

If that's the case, don't you think that users who aren't tech savvy can find it difficult to continously re-learn and training the algorithms?  I checked out your platform and I didn't see any documentation on how to go about it. I'm not forgetting the fact that one of the biggest hurdles with Neural network is up-to-date data. Who would be responsible for getting the data? Let me know if I missed anything.

No coding or trading experience required. Re-learning process is completely automated and executed on server side. The only thing you have to do is to press "Enter" button and wait approx for 2 minutes.

I signed up on your website and tried to create and algorithm and bot. It turns out the dashboard is a keyboard driven one and I'm currently on a touch device. I'm curious to experiment with your platform. Quick question : Is the service free to use? Because I didn't see a pricing page or information on the website and the OP says there was/won't be any ICO. I look forward to seeing if your platform does what it's meant to do. Kudos. No link to github too.

Thanks for your interest!
As of now, it's the keyboard-driven web app and supposed to be used on a desktop. We'll add TG bot for managing Bipoon later.
Yes, it's currently free. We're in open beta now.

15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading strategies could a trading bot implement? on: December 07, 2019, 02:15:51 PM

I think is someone created a really good trading bots and can make sure profits they won't sell it for commercial because they can make profits of their own. So i think if someone selling a trading bots that means they make money just from selling the bots not by winning trades with the bots

Sure! The only solution and a "win-win" strategy is to give proper toolset for creating custom algorithms/trading bots and apply profit-sharing model.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best trading bot 2019 on: December 07, 2019, 02:01:58 PM

That's true. I've seen implementation of AI/Neural networks /machine learning trading bots. The only problem is that, the current bot providers don't update their data/training models  and at such, these bots become sub-par and limited, most times leading to more losses than gains since the mark3is continously changing.  AI based bots would be a success but most are poorly maintained at the moment.

I think this problem could be solved by putting learning mechanics on the users' side so they can run re-learning process of their Neural Network-based algorithms. This is how we've solved this issue so far.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best trading bot 2019 on: December 06, 2019, 10:02:20 PM

Bots are just tools and if you don't know how to use them, You won't profit from them. Majority of the bots available today allows you to create your own custom strategies, the truth is, you won't have much success with that too if you don't know know these strategies and how they work.

As for the "linear" algorithms (using bunch of inidicators), I can agree that in the long run you'll not have any positive results. Market constantly changes that's why you have to tweak your algorithm. And if you aren't a creator how could you know it'll be profitable in the future?!

But if you apply AI/Neural Nets then you have much more chances to create decent strategies. Market has changed? Good. You'll see it in your neural net's equity curve which strats to decline. And you re-learn it using "fresh" market data.

The more important thing is how you apply risk-management to your algorithms because you never know the results in advance.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading strategies could a trading bot implement? on: December 06, 2019, 09:16:59 PM
recently i have been seeing a lot of trading bot advertisement, not just on bitcointalk but elsewhere too. most of them are either crappy or scam but anyways it made me think about different strategies that a trading bot could implement.

there are two things that i am already aware of and also have implemented:
- basic trading, market watchers, stop loss and pump watchers, showing charts,...
- different arbitrage strategies.

i am also aware of some high rate and ping pong strategies which i really hate.
what else can you give me, maybe strategies you have seen in a bot you used before or strategies you think go well with a trading bot?

Hi!

I think we have something to show you: we've launched an on-line toolset for building custom trading bots on Neural Network and decided to take completely different approach to automated trading. It perfectly suits for those who don't have enough experience to create or follow their own winning startegy.

The core idea is that a user only have to apply proper risk-management to the algorithms (which are created by Neural Nets specifically designed for trading needs) and set up "Bot Targets" which are as follows:

- "realized profit" - positive target you want your bot to reach and stop trading. It could be 5-10 or 20 trades. You never know.
- "realized loss" - max loss you can afford trading with this bot. It'll also stop trading when loss limit is hit. So, it's a bot overall loss trading limit (and not a limit for a given trade!)

Think of it this way: you are a commander and your bots are your soldiers. You have to manage them and set them goals. But not micro-manage..

How your "soldier" (your neural net bot) will reach the goal is up to him. Your responsibility is to train them (run a learning process), set goals and discard....and "recruit" new ones. It's an ongoing process.

Each algorithm created by Neural Network module is unique and generates its own signals. It takes approx 2 minutes to complete learning process.

You can give it a try in demo-trading and tell us what you think about our project. It's very beginning and that's why it's so important for us.

Hi, advise the best trading bot. I used several trading bots, but I didn’t like it. I was in a small plus.

Don't want to be intrusive but we're a small team of traders and running a social trading experiment now.

The idea is simple: give a toolset to create a custom algorithm based on Neural Network to users who don't have enough experience in trading/or a new to it.
We're in open beta now and it's currently free at the moment. You can give it a try by demo-trading (no exchange account required).

Hi, advise the best trading bot. I used several trading bots, but I didn’t like it. I was in a small plus.

It depends on what expectations you have regarding a trading bot.

If you have your own well-thought-out strategy and only need to automate your trading, there's a few good products out there.
But if you want to find a bot that already have a winning strategy and doesn't require any efforts from your side, I'll disappoint you. You know the answer Wink
