261  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ASICMiner Prisma 2.0(1.4th/s+) with controller - 1 BTC each on: August 16, 2015, 04:13:21 PM
Hi, I might be interested in your prismas. Where do you ship them from?
Shipping from Texas
262  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ASICMiner Prisma 2.0(1.4th/s+) with controller - 1 BTC each on: July 30, 2015, 04:22:20 AM
What's the real-world power consumption on these bad boys? Do they undervolt?
Are there any big differences with the 2.0 version as opposed to the 1.0?

Thanks!
Around .8 watts per gh. No .undervolt. 2.0 version is more stable and safer.

Bump, and matching Newegg price.
264  Economy / Computer hardware / ASICMiner Prisma 2.0(1.4th/s+) with controller - 1 BTC each on: July 29, 2015, 05:47:17 AM
I have 2 used units available, including controllers. Both units run without issue. You provide the shipping label or pay shipping.

I also have a number of Prisma 2.0 controllers available for $35 each, shipped.

I've got a brand new, unopened R9 Fury in stock and ready to ship. Looking for $569.99 in BTC (Coinbase rate). You can provide the shipping label or pay shipping costs on top.

I'd definitely be interested for myself, but you probably wouldn't get much more than 50 sales. My suggestion would be to make something that is compatible with as many chassis as possible, which may leave the board looking like swiss cheese. If you have to pick one compatible chassis, go with the S1. S1 is going to be your enthusiast board, with the highest ratio of forum users and tinkerers.

I've received the second test unit and I'm happy to say it ran all weekend at the same hashrate as the first. I did notice it was running a bit hotter than the first rev and was surprised to see it was running at almost twice the temp when I pulled out the IR gun. I had let it run at sidehack's voltage settings, which I readjusted today, so I'm not sure if the unit was damaged over the weekend.

Cgminer 4.9.2 appears to be resetting both units every few minutes but it hasn't really affected the hashrate. Probably need to adjust the timeout

Can't touch this...

268  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Been reading about a lot of dying sp20's on: July 02, 2015, 08:43:47 PM
I've got one left. Other than one die that runs pretty hot (~120c) and shuts off every couple weeks, it's still running strong.
269  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Neptune Cubes with splitter - .75 BTC shipped on: July 01, 2015, 07:15:30 PM
From my personal experience the batch bonus neptunes are garbage. KNC gave us the bottom of the barrel used and abused boards on all the compensation units they sent out.

My bonus cubes run at full speed, but they do run a lot hotter than the originals. I'm not sure if it is because of bottom of the barrel chips or poor construction and use of thermal adhesive, but I would request an original over a bonus batch.
270  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Neptune Cubes with splitter - .75 BTC shipped on: June 30, 2015, 10:20:09 PM
what's the total GH/S on  a Single ''Cube'' Smiley ?

Around 740 gh/s per cube at .57 watts per gh. They can be over clocked to around 800 gh . I run them underclocked for more efficiency.

I've got a few Neptune cubes available for purchase. Some have been running for almost a year and some have been running since the bonus batch shipped out. Price is per cube. PM if interested.

Hey CG, Wassssuuupppp!

You wouldn't, per chance, know who AM sourced those heatsinks from?

If one were to TIG the sinks together and TIG a cap/tank on each end with an appropriately sized piece of AL square tube stock down the center. . . .
Will post pics when finished.

Any word/rumors on FriedCat's whereabouts?

Sorry, I don't have any knowledge of where AM was sourcing the heatsinks and haven't heard from Friedcat since last year.
I imagine if you weld 4 heatsinks together, you could have a pretty solid short range potato cannon, which should hold you over while sidehack works on the boards.
273  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: June 22, 2015, 04:37:22 AM
I also speculate that there are thousands of bare Prisma heatsinks running around the US waiting for someone to either recycle or repurpose them. I also speculate that the form factor of the board would work nicely with rectangular heatsinks blade-style in a 2KW 5TH 3U machine. It should also continue to work well in whatever the heck liquid cooling scenario you want to come up with. So I think I'll continue that plan for now.

I'd be surprised if more than 200 Prisma units sold in the US, but I'll be glad to re-purpose the heatsinks I've stockpiled.

Playing around some more with the test unit today. At a frequency of 150, efficiency at the usb port is a little under .32 watts per gh with a board temp of 44.6c.  I was also able to mine directly off of the usb port of a cubie, but you'll need a power adapter that can handle at least .9 amps at 5v to do the same.

...I wonder when the other three guys are gonna start reporting opinions?

so far there has been CrazyGuy and philipma1957, you pinged the other guys?

on that note, CrazyGuy, hows yours been going?

Mine's still running great at stock speeds with no fan.

My opinion so far is that it's a great miner for beginners. It took all of 30 seconds to get it up and running. Efficiency is great, but you're going to have to string up a few of them in a hub to average out the draw from your controller.

I'll have some free time this weekend to get it hooked up to a cubian and rpi and start taking some more measurements.
276  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ASICPuppy.net - ANTMINER U3 ($44.99) on: June 18, 2015, 05:22:18 AM
At me your program defines mine of ICQ as Ikarus but writes that sny something not as it should be! Maybe who will give help in control of a mining? If SKYPE is necessary for contact I PatronDragon there!!!

Both the Rbox and U3 use icarus drivers in the latest version of official cgminer, but I'm not quite sure what you are asking me.

No more Black Arrow ATX Breakouts? Cry

I may have 1 lying around somewhere, I'll check. The Rockminer ones are just as good though.

That's pretty cool, I just ordered one. Cubie draws around 2-3 watts I believe. You can run a full node off of an rpi or cubie as long as you allocate enough swap space, but it will run dog slow. I think you would need at least 2gb of RAM to run a full node smoothly but I don't believe there aren't any SOC boards with that much RAM yet. On Windows, ZADIG is a bit of a hassle, especially if you already have other drivers associated with the device. I plan to make a WinUSB driver package to simplify things.

Just started playing with with my test unit today.  It's running great off of my MINIX Intel Atom based Ubuntu machine. I've had some issues getting it to run on an Rpi, but I haven't given up there yet. I'll also be testing on a cubieboard. Here's some pics:

Any improvements on the power use on the units or still 1200 for 1.2TH units? Would love to buy some units maybe 3 to 4 however power ratio to mining brake even and cost to run would kill.

I get 1.4 th/s @ 1100 watts with my personal units. Unfortunately, I'm now sold out of Prisma 2.0 units. You are welcome to contact me with an offer on some of my used units but I likely won't be getting any more New units in stock.
