it is running pretty well .
is shell in the same as ssh. I am more of a gear head then a coder. I would be very likely to kill my sd card.
Yes, ssh You can do it straight from the user interface by clicking on system->open terminal. Or use putty or some other ssh client.

That is solid advice. Please remember, you are running a 1200 watt device with exposed circuit boards .Two things I would highly reccomend not doing.: Touching the exposed circuit boards, or putting them in close proximity to conductive material.
Also, I have just paid out compensation to batch 1-5 for the late shipment from ASICMiner. Thank you to all that participated in this group buy.

okay running 2 boards poolside reports 690gh minera has a low number two fans running handles out two boards no worries. I had to modify minera to report the correct total hash rate for prismas. This modification was made after your unit shipped. To get the latest code perform the following steps shell in and change directory to /var/www/minera git fetch --all git reset --hard origin/master

what do I use for minera password ?
"minera" change it on the settings page you should also change it in the terminal for ssh changing one does not change the other user for ssh is also minera changed it . do I ssh this to change freq rates? Just update the startup parameters on the settings page. Default is: --bet-clk 23

I am still on the block erupter for now, mining on GHASH.io, I set the difficulty to 2048 on Ghash.io. Good idea or not? Will this not do anything on the BE?
Should be fine unless they hit some really quick blocks. GHASH will accept any difficulty so you might as well just set it to 1470.

once you have screwed the top off have your spouse, girlfriend, or someone hold the tube together so you can flip the handles out
I'm going to get my spouse and my girlfriend to help, just to be safe! Can someone with good photoshop skills take the pottery scene from Ghost and switch out the pot for a prisma?

1 question on the new Crazyguy image, what is the default IP? 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x etc?
It is set up with DHCP, so the IP will be assigned by your router. Easiest way to find the rpi is through the hostname,: priminerapi

The good thing about those blue foam rollers in the new packaging is that you can use them as pool toys when next summer comes around.
I think the image should work fine on the Raspberry Pi B+. I've ordered a batch of Raspberry Pi B+ boards and will test out before putting them up in the store. I've also ordered a batch of A10 cubies for those looking to run multiple instances of cgminer.
I'm waiting on ASICPuppy.net units to sell out before I consider another group buy purchase. If you would rather wait on shipment from China, I believe Canary is still gathering buyers for another purchase. I actually have a .05 off coupon from my first tube purchase with Canary. I will give it to the first of my group buy participants that PMs me.

599.00 now on asicpuppy? I bought two in the group buy wish I would have bought more. Any word on when and or if the GB will start again? Id like to grab at least another one, but if its 599.00 + shipping I may just have to jump on that instead of waiting for the GB to open again. Are you going to try to chain the tube and prisma together philipma, is that even possible? Thanks for any info CrazyGuy.
I had to raise it to $649.99 as the BTC price is going up. I may raise it again tonight but at the current exchange rate ($418) $649 is not far off from the group buy price.

I've got Minera running on my rPi now, but I can't seem to get it to save settings or start mining. I had my Prisma running on the BE controller earlier today, so I presume I'm doing something wrong on the Pi. Any thoughts?
I checked the SD to make sure it wasn't write-locked, and moved the UART to the other USB slot, just to see. Still nothing.
Cheers.
Are you using my image or manual install? Cgminer main branch or ASICMiner branch? Try shelling in as minera and run screen -r to attach to the cgminer instance. Make sure there aren't any errors. If the screen session doesn't exist, maybe cgminer is failing to start. You can always try kicking it off from the command line to see if it returns any errors.

I really like that minera interface. I have been up and running for a day and a half using the BE controller and bfgminer 4.10 as a proxy to run the pool of my choice without any problems besides user error setting it up after moving it. Thanks CrazyGuy for fixing my user error. I have two fans per unit on a fan controller and also a box fan pushing air up from under them after I looked at those pictures of that burnt board. I would love to try minera and turn off the setup I have going with bfgminer as a proxy, although working well, very well to be honest, id like to use this RPI and give my main pc a break. Have the USB to uart adapters shipped out yet?
Yes, I shipped them all first class on Saturday. I expect most of you will be receiving them tomorrow or Wednesday.

No, it's just the way pool hasrate was being calculated. I put a fix out on github last night. cd to /var/www/minera and run the following commands to update: git fetch --all git reset --hard origin/master edit: /var/www/minera not /var/www

I will forward to ASICMINER for comment. My guess would be a short maybe around that capacitor that looks to have blown up. It looks like the one below that is completely missing. Was there any damage during shipment or loose caps in the shipping box?

Try setting all dip switches on one board to off, then connect that board only to your controller. Does it show up?
Hmm that shows up as board 1 and 17, so im going to guess its a wiring or dip switch setting? I believe one of your dip switches is probably set incorrectly. I was very frustrated the first night I received my units as I was unaware they reversed the dip switch order from the tubes. 1 is LSB, 4 is MSB. Do not touch the 5th dip switch, leave it off. If any board in your array is out of order, the controller will not recognize any boards. Check out the 2nd post for an example setup.

So I got two prismas, one came with all wires and switches attached and set, the other one came with the wires not attached and no switches set. I had the BE controller running on a 12V 1amp power supply, all boards showed up using the BE controller and using BFGminer as a proxy to run at a different pool. I had the one unit that was pre-wired up on running on a test machine before I moved it to its permanent place. Then I daisy chained them together and all was well...until the move. I moved them to the coldest part of the house, the basement, all on there own new dedicated power outlets, using one evga 1300gs per prisma. For the life of me, no matter how many times I reboot the BE controller, change the power supply to it, reset it to factory defaults, change the settings back to my network, I can log into the page of the controller but it will not show the miners at all, not one board. Tried different wires, checked continuity from miner to the BE controller and all is well. Made sure all wires were seated, all switches set and remain the same. All the controller will do is blink this one light. Is it possibly a bad controller? Any help or advice is appreciated. Im not sure what else to do as I think ive tried it all, but im sure I could be missing something simple as someone else may have had this problem. Thanks Try setting all dip switches on one board to off, then connect that board only to your controller. Does it show up?
