why would you buy a prius?
I suppose individual preference is involved. My question might be why wouldn't you? I spend a lot of time driving. I want it to be a pleasure. I like luxury and superb build quality. With sex appeal. I'm young and have no family to burden me. From a pure investor perspective, you made the right moves. Cheap. Excellent MPG. Low insurance rates. And spend your money on things that would rather appreciate than the other way round. Buuuuttt... what's the point of having nice toys when you're an old fart. It appears you've answered your first question with your second paragraph. I enjoy driving my Prius and will likely get another fuel efficient car. They aren't for everyone, but the same thing holds true for any material object. What about a Tesla? I took the P85 for a testdrive the other day. Very fun. What are your thoughts on it? Wizkid got one recently and he seems to love it. Awesome car, but a tad more expensive than my Prius. I do think it's pretty cool that tesla is open sourcing all their patents.

Yes, still for sale but 14 BTC is a little low now given the rate. I'd let it go for $12k in bitcoins. If you're interested, you can come pick it up, or we can arrange some kind of shipping service.

Free ATX Breakout board for every 6 orders continued through the weekend. This deal is cumilative, so if you've ordered an RBOX from me in the past, you don't have to order 6 more for a breakout board. Breakout boards are also available for individual sale @$21.99 I understand there is some interest in Gen 1 Cube conversion kits. I'm happy to announce the first kit is now available for purchase! With enough room for an R-Pi and brick PSU even! Good point, and not a bad idea. Next order gets a free Gen 1 cube shell!

I see the Rbox price as quoted in dollars. Without going through the process of trying to buy one on the website, what are actual payment methods? Something that converts to Bitcoin, or actual dollar transactions. It might be good to elaborate on payment methods and shipping cost, prior to actually getting too far into the order process.
I accept Paypal and bitcoin. Bitcoin price is calculated at checkout by coinbase.

To clear up some confusion, the "Rocket Box" and "RX-Box" are two seperate products. Rocket box will have 48 BE200 chips and RX-Box will have 64. Rocket box is set to release end of this month and RX-Box sometime later. I have Rocket box units on order and will be selling through ASICPuppy.net as delivery dates solidify.

Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R-Box Setup [HD]
|
on: June 12, 2014, 03:34:29 AM

Question: Is the setup the same for one or two Rockminers? I can get 1 unit to work fine, however I cannot get 2 units to works together. I've tried Powered Hubs and Direct on PC (Win 8.1 and XP). Both have 12V 5A power, new usb cables. I have to think it is in my config. I'm using 'rbox_cgminer.rar' V4.3.3 downloaded from www.eyeboot.com. { cgminer.exe --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --anu-freq 290 -o stratum+tcp://us1.ghash.io:3333 -u name.work1 -p 12345 } Any suggestions would be appreciated. I prefer bfgminer, however I cannot even get that to see my units. -=Lon=- If you are using cgminer, make sure both devices have the winusb driver installed.(You can double check in Zadig) If using bfgminer, make sure you completely uninstall winusb drivers for those devices in device manager. Then install the silicon labs driversI installed it on one of my units and it saw it on all 3 - surely its a system specific driver rather than a unit specific driver? I should clarify, you'll only have to install the driver once if you have no other drivers associated with the device. Windows will automatically install the first device driver associated with a device when plugged in. For instance, if you installed silicon labs drivers for a cp210x device in the past, then install winusb with zadig for a single device, you are going to have to do the same with each new device you plug in, since the silabs driver is the default. The best bet is to completely uninstall silabs or Winusb drivers when switching between cgminer and bfgminer. Do this by going into device manager and right click on the device --> uninstall. Make sure to check the box labeled "Delete the driver software for this device" to remove the device association with that driver.
