Do people really expect that this kind of appeal will work?

There are some bad/scammy Altcoins out there, but there are a few good ones as well. Word of advice: If you're into this for investment (or any other kind of investing, for that matter) you need to have some patience.

It is very good that you are 17 years old and want to get financial freedom in the future and build your life the way you want. If you make this effort you will succeed. Try to explain to your parents what crypto is and why it is profitable to invest in it. So they won't be angry with you. But you also don't forget about the risks. Think carefully about all your investments and then everything will be fine.
^ This is good advice.

I'm one who believes that Ripple/XRP will be successful and have banking institutions participate. However, it's not really a decentralized crypto, and that is often lost on many in the "XRP Army". Still, I've invested in it some.

Well, Apple is big on security and privacy so it might make sense. Also, I would feel safer using an iOS native wallet from Apple *way* before any wallet on an Android device.

I'm very hopeful and excited for Cloverdex. I really like the idea of the hybrid exchange/secure wallet/debit card platform. That alone piqued my interest. But I'm also Irish (despite my screen name haha) and anything to do with clovers I have to give a chance.

Yes you might think this is crazy but the truth is, you are prone to more risk and uncertainties when you hold. All the price instability is actually sustaining with you holding.
The rule of when the price is moving someone is actually gaining or loosing has more effect on those holding coin.
Over the years I have noticed that trading is still the best! Am gonna share a secret with you.
I make 5% daily profit buying and selling, how do I trade?. I buy Bitcoin with cash and sell 5% higher. I do this daily some times I make more when am able to by the coin cheaper than normal.
In 20days of intensive trading, I make 100% profit. Well, am not very rich because I only like to trade with small funds and I do this to take care of my immediate expenses daily so I don't touch my salary at all cos profits from trades takes care if all these.
Comparing to when you hold, Bitcoin cannot rise above 100% in 20days!!! Forget old days rate, today is reality!
Stop holding coins for years months, that's a lazy and ignorant way to invest.
There are lots of ways you can trade, just find a comfortable trade platform with a very very reliable Escrow service and trade to only trusted people.
Thanks, remain safe.
This basically just sounds like what people do when day-trading penny stocks. It can work, yes, but it's not worth the time, stress or the effort, IMHO. Holding is *usually* (certainly not always) the best way to see higher gains for those who are patient with healthy commodities. Ask some of those who traded hundreds and thousands of BTC back in 2009-2014 how they feel about that now. Personally, I think the best way is to invest, hold and then every time it doubles you sell/cash out 1/3 or 1/2. That mitigates risk while also maintaining long-term gains.

This is what markets do. Any healthy market survives both bull and bear parabolas.

The problem is that scammers are getting more and more elaborate and Byzantine. It would be a full-time job for someone here to do full due diligence on all of them.

I'm wondering if Grin mining will be integrated into the upcoming Coinmine One shortly after launch.

One thing I noticed about this Crypto Conferences the ticket prices are high. I now that other non Crypto related conferences also charges attendees to listen to guest speakers but if our goal is to make people aware of Crypto Currencies we need to make this kind of event at least affordable to those who wants to go into Crypto Currencies. I agree. The pricing for most conferences is a huge turn off for many people, especially for conferences with big sponsors.

You don't really want to buy BIG until close to the end of a bear market. And many analysts feel we're not quite there yet (I tend to agree). IMHO, this is the time for small buys and/or "HODLING" not selling or betting the farm.

I understand the trepidation, but it's really not time to panic quite yet. This market will be volatile for some time. Patience is key.
