1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL&CALM on: January 13, 2019, 09:20:35 AM

I say HODL and use Bitcoin and other altcoins. That is much better. We need to step up our ways of using cryptocurrencies. HODL is all right of course if you are just an investor. But it would be much more helpful to the cryptocurrency field if we are going to actually use them. One of the largest problems for cryptocurrency is that it is not used according to its design. That is true. Everyone can easily notice that the majority of the cryptocurrencies turned to mere traded coins and nothing more.

I agree. The crypto market will not see it's full potential untill we have mass adoption in the retail space.
When I can finally use my crypto at any gas station or supermarket is when the market will really excel.
Untill then, the whole market is based on speculation and is too volatile to be used in every day lives.
But for the time being held as much as you  an afford and don't over do it
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining pool dedicated to Raspberry Pi and other SBC on: January 12, 2019, 12:30:53 AM
Thanks for the reply guys. I appreciate it..
I realise they are not profitable and it would be considered hobby mining. But when you search mining with a pi you see a lot of how videos and sites. I am more curious than earning a profit with them.
I am just wondering if there would be more people out there like me, that have one sitting around and want to put it to use and learn a few things.
It would be nice to know that you were mining in a pool with a level playing field and everyone has similar hardware.
I was thinking more along the lines of cryptonite coins than bitcoin as they are more suited to the pi
As for the electricity cost it would be negligible.

Thanks again
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Mining pool dedicated to Raspberry Pi and other SBC on: January 11, 2019, 11:39:53 AM
Hi everyone. I'm new here so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section.
I'm curious if anyone here knows of any mining pools that are dedicated for only Raspberry Pi and other SBC computers to mine on?
I know that these computers are not very profitable but they are fun to work with and a lot of people have them lying around.
The reason I ask is that it would be interesting to see what sort of results would come about if you had hundreds of them mining together, like what their combined hash rate is, how many blocks they can discover etc...

Thanks
