BCCI is looking for a new coach of all three formats since Rahul Dravid the current coach tenure will end in this June.

Well, that's not the best part Jay Shah said they might go back to their old IPL format prior to impact player rule since it is causing the place for all rounders and also he said impact rule allowed one extra player to be a part of playing XI so it might be decided after this IPL anyway I thought it's worth sharing these news.

Quote
Shah was non-committal on the continuation of the Impact Player rule in the Indian Premier League (IPL), stating that it will be decided after consultation with captains and coaches. However, he stressed on the significance of the rule, which allows two extra Indian players to be in the XI of an IPL side.

"Impact player was a test case.

Binance became FIU compliant recently then how can the government ask for user details of Tax evasion when the law is meant for suspected financial transactions. Above all Binance was never under the jurisdiction of the government of India as it never had any office in India. After this they will need an office in India and have to provide any details the government requires from them.

As @Bureau said, we don't know what are the terms Binance agreed to when they decided to come back and it's just speculation. And government authority might have all the rights to ask about the user data as long as they are the residents of India, cause India imposed the 30% tax on VDA in 2022 so they have every reason to go after who didn't pay their taxes prior they became FIU compliant.

You are right about the part where you said the government of India imposed tax in 2022. That being said Binance was never asked for any data by the government in 2023, only in 2024 they were accepted the government regulations. Basically, Binance only keeps a record of a user transaction for only a year.

If you don't agree then you can check with their support. Last year, while trying to file my taxes I requested Binance to send me the data for the financial year, unfortunately, I am still waiting. They never kept those transaction data and that is why they didn't send me as they knew that it is irrelevant at that time. They have mentioned on their support page that they keep transaction information for six months. For the rest you have to change the date and try, which I did last year but never got any Excel sheet from them. Check this page: https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/how-to-show-my-deposit-history-within-6-months-5801e72c38f647fd85818c38e1125907

Not really since the citizens were mandated to follow whatever the tax imposed by government imposed and now they are becoming FIU complaint they can/will have rights to ask any data about users from India.

And the link you shared about 6 months is that they might ask source of income of the funds including cryptos within 6 month time period and that doesn't necessarily mean they won't keep our TXs data beyond 6 month.

I went through their privacy policies https://www.binance.com/en/privacy where I can't really able to find how lng they will keep the shared data of users but

Quote
We may access, read, preserve, and disclose information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal obligations, regulations, law enforcement, government, and other legal requests, court orders, or disclosure to tax authorities in line with the detailed information set forth under Section 6.

The Category of Personal Data processed is Personal Identification Information, Institutional Information, Financial Information, Transactional Information, Browsing Information, Usage Data, Blockchain Data.

Means they will keep track the data forever cause they might be asked anything by governments at any time and they are supposed to provide whatever the authorities seeks for smooth operation of their platform in the respective country.

I doubt this is going to affect anyone who had traded prior because Binance accepted to follow the law from yesterday onwards before that they were not. But, no one knows what kind of aggreement they have signed with the government of India as the fine looks very less.

We do know that government of India is being anti crypto since the beginning so I can assume they are not going to let anyone free who didn't pay their taxes and Binance will not hesitate so share whatever information FIU seeks because they are not taking any chances here because their potential market is 1.5 billion users.

Also, a lot of speculations started about getting tax notices sooner or later but for sure who didn't pay their crypto taxes since 2022's financial year.
7  Local / India / Re: Binance Exchange is coming back to India. on: May 10, 2024, 08:39:51 PM

So officially now Binance became the second International crypto exchange to become FIU complaint after Kucoin.

Do you see this as Good?

IMO this is going to affect who traded prior to the blanket ban now will be scared of tax authorities knocking their doors but kind of positive for upcoming new users which will give better experience than Indian exchanges mainly because more liquidity, more trading pairs, etc.

What I am witnessing is unlike CSK team usually they stick onto their playing XI consistently now swapping positions and bringing Rachin after dropping him for a while now didn't work either. And not giving the ball to spinner and trusting part-time bowler like Mitchell is really a bad move though.

Definitely, the absence of someone like Pathirana is a huge blow as well.

After today's match the tournament is getting wide open, GT well on the race too for top 4.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 10, 2024, 04:08:47 PM
GT missed an golden opportunity to outplay the opponent and now CSK bowlers did exceptional in the death overs by restricting GT for a lot less than what they were expected and took the momentum with them.

No one should forget this is the venue where RCB chased down 200 in 16 overs, so definitely the game is still on.

Rutu and Dube will decide the fate of this match.

Finally, GT made a change in their 12th match which is working for now and they are scoring at good RR and yet to lose a wicket. This is the time for their bounce back and is it gonna be against CSK who they lost trophy to in the last season.

Gill is trying to prove a point after being a complete failure in the season with some runs who criticized a lot about picking up in the reserves.

Going to be a high scoring thriller, excited to see who is going to secure 2 points today.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 10, 2024, 07:30:24 AM
It's true that RCB make a strong comeback at a very last time which isn't much worthy for them because compared to them Lucknow and Dehli Capital has much more chances to qualify for playsoff if CSK some how didn't manage to inn Thier self in next round so if some dreaming for RCB qualifying for semifinals them they should stop thinking and dreaming about that despite any mericle happened and rain wash rest of thier team match and then RCB won the rest of thier matches by huge margin which mean it isn't possible at current season may be we will have in future anyway congratulations to RCB on his stunning victory and most importantly Virat spectacular innings which really put them on track otherwise they lost Thier track by quick early two dismissal.

It needs some miracle if RCB enters into play-offs but they atleast have 1% which is what forcing them to perform like what we saw yesterday. Alos we need to look who is playing against who then things will be more interesting and if I am not wrong every team is fighting for the 3rd and 4th position has clashes between each other that will decide the fate of them for sure but all the remaining matches in the league is going to be high thriller for sure.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 09, 2024, 06:24:01 PM

RCB batsmen have performed very well in today's match.  Their batsmen have scored runs in the match with great effort and struggle.  And still Sun has more chances to win.  This is because of their bowlers and their target.  Punjab King batsmen need 80 runs from 32 balls to win the match and it is very difficult for them to win.  If they accelerate their pace, they can win the match. And with the performance of their bowlers, this target has also become very difficult.  Their bowlers are working hard stopping runs and taking wickets.  Punjab King's chances of winning the match have greatly reduced.  His bowling is also doing very well. But at present their performance is very bad.

Just after couple of minutes you wrote this the match actually ended, maybe you didn't give any attention to the wickets column. Roll Eyes

RCB won by 60 runs which means their hope of getting into playoffs are still alive, their position at the points table remain same but they ended the PBKS playoffs run with this victory.

Tomorrow there's another pre eliminator especially for GT, if they loss then it's their end of the season as well.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 09, 2024, 04:46:32 PM
RCB is here to make a statement for sure, I don't mind whether they qualify or not but at last they are playing in the way that's how they supposed to play since the beginning but nevertheless they posted big target which may looks easy considering this year's IPL target and chases but I won't rule out the score board pressure which gives better advantage for RCB in my opinion.
14  Local / India / Re: How whales convert their crypto to INR! on: May 09, 2024, 03:45:15 PM
@Bitcoin Smith, whales never convert crypto to INR. A whale can be considered as an institutional investor or a private investor whose main objective is to gain high profit through market manipulation or short selling. A whale is not like a retail investor who will need money after a certain amount of trade. They invest with certain goals and unless they achieve it they keep funds on the exchange as explained by @Bureau.

I do accept whales rarely convert their crypto to fiat but the point of discussion is to find how they will do when they want to and dodge paying the taxes. There are certain period even I noticed it by myself where trade books on wazirx filled with 100s of bitcoin but that's all probably before that 30% tax rate was implemented.
15  Local / India / Re: [March 2024 update] Indian Board activity on Bitcointalk on: May 09, 2024, 03:32:41 PM
If someone does apply then it would take ages to get approved.
If the board has already a merit source and they want to look add one more then yes, or if they don't really have a Local board then getting one took ages than getting a merit source of them but here it's not really the same if someone considered as recognized member they might be included in the next month itself.

It is better if anyone is inclined in getting merits to contact the global merit source and ask them to review post. It has been done previously and if you want @Bitxoin Smith I can help you with a few names. Above all I can request @icopress, if he is now a merit source to look into our board.

I also thought about contacting hugeblack, but I don't think he is offering local board reviews for a while, which I noticed from his merit page.
16  Local / India / How whales convert their crypto to INR! on: May 09, 2024, 07:19:16 AM
I have this question for very long time especially when I see max trading limit on exchange goes even upto crores which means potentially people can convert how much amount they have in BTC to INR but there's no way someone who is selling huge amount is going to pay 30% tax and even 1% TDS seems too much considering the value in INR.

So what are the possible alternatives you think they convert BTC to INR if they wanted to.

Mostly all I see is going to Dubai set up a company and then transfer funds to INR but it's really feasible or how do you think they convert.

Let's speculate and bring in all your imagination guys. Grin

No other team has ever seen such a devastating innings as seen in SRH's match. SRH chased down the target of 167 runs against LSG within nine overs, again without a wicket.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have the highest number of innings in the IPL so far. They should enter the field to record such a record in every match. Those who missed the LSG vs SRH match yesterday I would say missed one of the greatest matches of the IPL. I would like to see Sunrisers Hyderabad in the playoff round even if it is to see such great batting.

LSG made it look like a difficult track to bat contrarily SRH batter hit every runs via fours and sixes. Head is one of the destructive batsmen which started with ICT then WC final but if there is a good bowler then he could gift his wicket for sure cause he is trying to slog and if there is some assistance on the pitch for bowlers then surely he will get a top edge and score single digit score.

SRH looks deadly but playoffs is not gonna be easy cause they will strategize how to get their openers wickets.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 08, 2024, 07:20:51 PM
Because nowadays the younger ones take gambling more seriously then school. Yesterday i got back home early so I decided to step out and go to a betting shop to catch some fun while gambling, I saw two teenagers gambling with their school uniforms on them.

I asked someone besides me why did they allow this boy's to come in with their uniforms and gamble, he said did they put any restrictions that younger ones are not allowed to gamble. I said but it's not normal, I replied him what if this are your kids would you be happy seeing them gambling with their uniforms on them. So what do you guys think about this situation at hand now.

There should be a minimum age for a person to be allowed for gambling in any country and I hope there is one where you reside too and if the operator doesn't seems to care about it and allow kids to bet then you can call the cops or any security services related to handle these kind of things. But isn't the job of their parents to supervise what their kids are doing?

The fans of Mumbai Indians are also watching this match closely and with this match result their fate can be determined too.

IPL playoff scenarios: Mumbai Indians pray for LSG to beat SRH

Quote
With only 14 matches to go in the league stage of IPL 2024, no team has yet qualified for the playoffs, and no team has yet been knocked out. Here is a look at how the qualification scenarios stack up for all the teams.

The match is still in process so hope at least till the last over. By the way, once they crossed 160, there are some chances for them to win this match and that score is also reasonable but still there are some chances with that.

AFAIK, MI was the one officially got eliminated even before this match started.

You can find the (E) near their name because they already played 12 matches and only won 4 of them.

SRH really made a dent in LSG's NRR because they chased down the target in just 10 overs with 10 wickets in hand, the bully came back again for sure with this performance, and now they moved to 3rd position.
