Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible to have two algorithms?

How many multiple algorithm coins are out there now?
It would most likely never be possible, but imagine a multi algo coin that used...
SHA 256- Support network via ASIC Scrypt - Support network via ASIC X11 - Support network via FPGA and GPU BLAKE 256 - Support network via FPGA and GPU Cryptonote - Support network via CPU / GPU Momentum - Support network via CPU / GPU
It would be perfectly balanced from a mining perspective. You may say im a dreamer, but im not the only one

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Final [BOOLBERRY] Rebrand Vote - Ends Sept. 30th
|
on: September 30, 2014, 01:52:31 AM

When I first heard the name BoolBerry, I thought it was terrible. Also, when I first heard of Bitcoin I thought the exact same thing...
I never thought I would use the word 'Bitcoin' in a conversation, and now it happens on a fairly frequent basis. In regards to BoolBerry, it just sounds so damn ridiculous when you say it out loud, but it really does roll of the tongue nicely. I cant say that its the best name in the world, but I think its significantly better than the other name being considered. Additionally the ticker BBR, just clicks for me.
Worry about rebranding if / when all crypto becomes mainstream. Keep making the coin better and everything else will fall into place.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ypool

YPOOL is one of the best, most diverse pools out there IMO. With that being said, if you plan on CPU mining your only option there (feasibility wise) would be Riecoin ,and thats only because there is no public GPU miner available. All other coins on the pool, now have GPU mining clients which make CPU mining all but obsolete.
CPU mining is all but dead to the average miner, unless you're operating a botnet there is no way you will ever come out ahead profitability wise regardless of pool / coin. Anywho, good luck wih your mining endeavors!

Regarding price:
I called it a 'fire sale' here when 4 S1's sold for $100 with a PSU plus shipping, that was crazy. I bought my first S1 for 0.135 shipped ($55 USD at the time) and I thought it was a damn good deal. I'd say that $65-75 USD shipped per unit is a fair deal at the moment.
The S1's can still turn a profit, and its a very well built machine. Anyways, good luck with your sale man!

Received the S1, gotta love making a deal on Friday night and having the hardware on your doorstep come Monday morning. lazlopanaflex was the epitome of how transactions on the forum should be conducted. Thanks for the S1!
