201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas (No date yet) on: January 31, 2021, 10:54:51 AM

The date isn't finalized yet though but once rumor do comes out then probabilities of happening is somewhat high.

This rumor is going to happen because this is a mandatory fight for Inoue, so it's good that we discuss this early because the moment it's officially announce and the betting odds is available, we can easily make a decision. I think most of the posters here are Filipino but I'm still interested to know on what's the majorities pulse on this fight, I hope OP would add a poll.
Still in operation as a rumor but one thing is definitely sure that, odds will be competitive becasue of the caliber of fighter in this fight. Although you made a point but majority of replies i have read aren't from Filipino but from other zones, those who think that losing this fight to Michael Dasmarinas will cost Naoya Inoue reputation should have rethink about his statistic.
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this correction lead to a bear market for Bitcoin? on: January 30, 2021, 10:38:30 PM
I don't want to get overly dramatic about what's happened today, especially considering that the $32k level that we're at now was a new ATH just a week ago but when Bitcoin has dipped this much in previous years it has led to a prolonged bear market.

Do we think that this could happen now or should we just ride it out and expect a quick return to business as usual?

As long as we are above 30,000$, we remain in bull market. If we broke the support of 30K, we probably will head towards 20 K and it might be a sign of  bear market being starting. However i am hopeful that bitcoin will not break the support and  will continue to move upwards towards ATH in February.
Sincerely, we are just about to start bull run base on the recent happenings in the world of cryptocurrencies, the $30k seem to us as a very strong support as bitcoin price hitted that and bounced back to normalcy severaly. Let be clear now, there might be something drastic that will ever made bitcoin to hit $20k again and not even the enemies of my enemies.
203  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTCs sudden rocket on: January 30, 2021, 10:18:11 PM
The sudden rocketed was done through demands when the price was opening seen as low for opportunity takers.
Have always said this: the system of bitcoin price either through dip or pump aren't same like what we had in the past, institutions are driving this sector higher, so, buy now will be profitable than to wait later.

If it is true that institutions are the ones buying then how come we are also experiencing a crash immediately after the pump yesterday? Bitcoin got to $32000 few hours after making $38000. It is not encouraging to believe institutions will also display weak hands and panic like single individuals. If that be the case.
Don't expect institutions buying coins to always continue, nope, that won't help the company in a long run. Although some institutions are buying on a long-term while there are some on a short-term, this depends on the companies ability to decide to go for long term or short term. Bitcoin volatility is always like that and no one can question it authority, so, it fell dip and rise again.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to make Bitcoin reach $400k on: January 30, 2021, 10:10:27 PM
I think if companies convert 10% of thier cash to Bitcoin it will cause rise making it to reach $430k !

If we can have at least half of the world invest in Bitcoin I'm sure Bitcoin will reach $400k or even more, just imagine everyone investing at least $20 I am not good in math but with the huge population I'm sure the demand will be high.
If half of the world population should make their investment on bitcoin then this price of tagging bitcoin to be $400k shouldn't be becasue the price will move even more higher than expected. But the world is likely to invest half of their wealth into bitcoin which many thought about negatively, but until they come to the true knowledge of this technology then such figures shouldn't be our concerns.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you buying right now ? on: January 30, 2021, 10:01:51 PM
No. I am not buying right now because first I don't have money to invest because I lost my day job, second even if I have money to invest I will still prioritize my family's basic needs and third I am not a long term hodler.
Those who are into bitcoin for long term should not tend to buy bitcoin because of the nature of the market right now, having said that, those that should buy from this point should make bitcoin on long term and not for short term. Well there is nothing bad about prioritizing ones families becasue one can't feel comfortable while families go hungry, i would suggest that, don't take care of the families without keeping something for future purposes.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: $80k within 6 weeks, new ATH October 2021 on: January 30, 2021, 09:48:35 PM
I don't see Bitcoin reaching such price with the current price this month and $80k is just too much IMO. But speculators are expecting a $100k or $200k, I don't know what they were thinking but that's just too much to be expected to happen this year. Maybe another halving again Bitcoin might achieve that price but for now, the highest Bitcoin is trying to break is a $43k which isn't happening yet.

Definitely not this month, when it clearly has seen a lot of people take profit above $40k and wanting to buy the dip again below 35k. Speculators looking at 100k? Yeah, sounds possible, but they shouldn't be expecting it any time soon, I would say not even this year, because there are many, many stops along the way.
It could be possible if there will be more demands from bitcoin, the $100k might not be possible this year but possibly years ahead when there will be more adoption for the community. Anyone thinking about this figure ($100k and above) should consider bitcoin as an asset in it early stage, more years achievement will prompt bitcoin price to hit the amount in future.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters are getting axed harder on: January 29, 2021, 09:36:25 PM
<snip>
Until there is a way to deal honorably with these team, hunters will continue to suffer
The only way we can deal with these scumbag honorably is through managers, enforcing some self made rules in this regard will yield result, example: if a bounty manager can't escrow bounty rewards then no bounty hunter should visit such campaign for any reason. In light of this, the project team won't play hard on hunters rewards becasue the reward were secure before the campaign kick-off.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do we really need stable coin? on: January 29, 2021, 09:25:44 PM
Yes we need atleast 1 stable coin. We can't hold our assets in our wallet risk free. Even we can't Trust eth/btc because off their high risk of pump and dump. Usdt was a good coin but It's not quite stable. Besides that there are many rumours againts usdt so we can't Trust this also.
We we are in need of a stable coin.
Definitely, i agreed there should be just only one or more trustworthy stablecoins which could be use for securing our assets when there's need for such, especially when bitcoin and ethereum start playing dip. USDT would have be a savior for this regard but becasue of it trustworthiness which the community still doubt made it a risk to store your asset USDT.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the things to look for when buying Altcoin? on: January 29, 2021, 09:10:09 PM
Currently, if you want to buy any altcoin, it is very difficult. You can't choose an option quite easily. Also, the crypto market is currently volatile. In such circumstances if one wants to buy altcoin. So what should be the main focus?
The volatility of the cryptocurrency market made it something peculiar from all other assets or investments. There is always an opportunity for volatility in bitcoin if when manage from the beginning of investment. Altcoins aren't too volatile, most especially those with stable mentality, so, when chose what altcoins to invest then always remember that: any altcoin without a proper case use won't run for long term rather for short term.
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTCs sudden rocket on: January 29, 2021, 09:03:07 PM
What i saw was demand from bitcoin dip when it hit all time low recently at $29k, this might be one of the opportunity for anyone still waiting for bitcoin to get recess before they buy a bag for themselves. The sudden rocketed was done through demands when the price was opening seen as low for opportunity takers.
Have always said this: the system of bitcoin price either through dip or pump aren't same like what we had in the past, institutions are driving this sector higher, so, buy now will be profitable than to wait later.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Last 2017/18 Bull Market compared to Current One on: January 28, 2021, 04:23:24 PM
<snip> If that's the case then it should not break below the 30k support right Huh We can see btc has hit 30k support twice from ath 42k. So after another month from 42k ath are we are going to break 30k support around 7th feb to enter a bear market like last time?
There is a clear case here, the bitcoin market of before and now are arrant different, and maybe history is likely to repeat itself again. Back in 2017/18 there wasn't much investors even though retailers flooded the bull-run market, but that could be reasons we do not have a longer bull market compare to 2020/21. For bitcoin hitting $30k as the support several times shouldn't made it seem to repeat itself again becasue the current market is been infiltrated by institutional investors and not just retailers.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if internet connectivity gets terminated on: January 28, 2021, 04:04:08 PM
<snip>
Right now each and everything is connected with internet and technology. The future of banking might happen through blockchain technology and bitcoin in mass adoption. By that time what will happen with the banking process if there happens a termination of internet connectivity for few days time.
Humans existence can be said depends on the internet. Almost everything we do today are associated with the internet connectivity, let imagine a world without internet connectivity, most parts of the humans lives won't function at the absent of internet connectivity. The Blockchain technology will be hunt down and most human activities will be brought to an hunt abruptly.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's reason for pumping btc price? on: January 28, 2021, 03:42:50 PM
I know bitcoin when it price 300$. But i don't buy Bitcoin cause i can't believe it. Today btc price highly increase but why? Can you tell what reason?
Well, you have answered the question, bitcoin was around $300 when you knew the technology and you were afraid to buy and it price continuing increasing, the reason it price continue is becasue of it demands.  Bitcoin demands gradually started from it lowest to what we have it right now, so, it pump came from it demands.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to still make a good return from Bitcoin? on: January 28, 2021, 03:35:31 PM
<snip>
Neither of these happened and finally I bought a diversified holding of £10,000 in 2019 to hedge against future pain. I still have this holding untouched including 1 btc and have no plans to sell it until I am sure it has hit full critical mass or goes to zero.

My question: Should I just forget about bitcoin now and go back to my business?
Frankly, you are one of these guys that are fortunate to have secured something big for your future and that of your generations unborn. Hedging such amount as "£10,000 in 2019" in a diversified portfolio means much now base on the current price in cryptocurrency. Well, if am opportune to have made this type of investment in the past i wouldn't have be making effort in creating portfolio for myself now. You have already secured your future, my advise will be: get back to your business while waiting for cryptocurrency global adoption to take place.

216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Do You Take Profit From Your Altcoin Bags? on: January 17, 2021, 05:59:30 PM
Just wondering what your strategy for taking profits on alts?
Do you sell when your alts double against in USD or BTC? or what % to make sure ur safe from dumps?
When you sell do you buy more BTC or Rotate into another Altcoin?
Generally, be smart when dealing with the altcoins market becasue they are not stable in nature. Some of these altcoins are pump and dump coins which need more smart guys in terms of profit taking, sometimes my altcoins bags or portfolios with 6% are set for profit taking becasue of my personal lessons i learnt from the past. Altcoins are good to take profit early and later reinvent when the price dip.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: January 17, 2021, 05:32:04 PM
<snip>
what do you think about it?
$DOT has displaced tons of coins in the coinmarketcap becasue of it case use compare to other coins without usability that formally occupied the top ten. Those who bought this coin when it was undervalued should by now made something good from holding. Basically this should be the beginning of this coin IMO because of it potentials, it's not easy to make it to $15,099,931,127 marketcap.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some important tips about the bitcoin market on: January 17, 2021, 05:06:32 PM
<snip>
6.Do not act emotionally… Wherever you say to buy or sell… you are more likely to lose
This should be applicable to both the buy and sell, attaching emotions in cryptocurrency don't usually end up in good. There was a similar case when i apply this to my bitcoin sales during the early days of the market raise during December, 2020 but got myself blamed after my sold, so, hold for a long term without panic irrespective of market volatility should be embrace. As a beginner, don't ever attach emotions during the buy and sale of bitcoin(cryptocurrencies).
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Own only a small amount of bitcoin? Regardless, DON'T LOSE THEM. on: January 17, 2021, 04:47:11 PM
Absolutely correct, there were times some campaigns paid $6 to $10 in bitcoin back in those days, comparing that to this present bitcoin price. There is nothing absolutely small when talk about bitcoin accumulation on a long term basis becasue i was a result of that. The programmer thought the price of Bitcoin won't appreciate from what he used to see it, but unfortunately to him; 2021 has been the best for the said bitcoin that was once be rejected by so called experts in the past.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 17, 2021, 03:46:56 PM
I’m not that excited for this match if ever, because I know this is just for pure money and still Manny will win the match so technically, this can be a sure profit for the bettors. If those guys want to make money from us, then its better to provide a real match, I’m looking forward for Inoue or Garcia to fight Manny, this can be more interesting.
Neither myself who is also a fam of Boxing. The Boxing world has turned into something else which wasn't in place when legends fought themselves in the ring. They have turned the ring into an avenue to earn money than giving the best fighter the reputation needed, although, maybe the Filipino boxer just want another moment before his exit: he just want what Mayweathe did.
