The only brand that the mainstream even recognizes is bitcoin and maybe ethereum to a lesser degree.
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Announcing BPIP - The Bitcointalk Public Information Project! on: August 23, 2019, 09:02:56 PM
BPIP loads very slow all day long... Is it just for me?
I thought it was offline, but I just have to wait longer for it to load.

Look, I have the Largest Merit Circle now Cheesy That deserves a Personal Text change Cheesy

Imagine bragging about having the most virtual points on a forum , nice life.

this is why I question the OPs motive, is he trying to create rankings (highscores) to boost himself up? Reminds me of those losers that spend all day grinding video games to get virtual skills and items which mean nothing.

^ Doge? You just lost any credibility that you had.  One of the biggest shitcoins, that thing is a complete joke, a meme coin, serious crypto investors don't own that shit. Maybe some pump and dumps but no real future.

I say LTC is a sinking ship, even the creator (not much of a creator, just coped bitccoin) dumped that copycat coin.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's not a job on: August 22, 2019, 03:48:36 PM
People are getting fired constantly as companies move to automate more jobs, everything will end eventually.  I don't think it is nuts.

A 'real' job should give you some notice, may give you a payout and may help you find another one. A gig on here will simply vapourise. For many that'll be fine, it's play money. If you're feeding your ten kids then it's a problem. And these things are cyclical. There may be no other avenues out there if the whole scene is quiet.

Companies are more ruthless then ever and they see their employees as expendables, just ants on a spreadsheet.  People don't have job security anymore, this isn't the 1950s.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's not a job on: August 22, 2019, 03:03:34 PM
I think that is the main reason why I stopped working as an employee. I'm just lucky to be picked as one of the participants in a signature campaign that is running for a long time already.

I've been in campaigns that lasted for several years that ended with absolutely no warning at all. When a good campaign ends the market will be flooded with its participants looking to join another and will likely be picked over other users.

If your campaign dying will screw your finances then you should be planning for that. It could happen any moment. I've seen people saying their pay their rent with sig campaign payments. That's nuts.

To be honest, most of newbies are joining this forum just for hunting from bounty/ICO's. They even do not bother to read useful topics where they could learn lot. I don't they they have tried to contribute for forum ever. Anyone should not leave his/her job due bounty or something else that related with crypto-currency. Because it would throw financial issue in near future. Its true that people's are earning from here by different way but I don't think we should fully depend on that earning.

Don't bullshit yourself scumbag, your here like money just like most people here, you wouldn't be posting this much without your lil paid signature you hypocrite.
9  Economy / Reputation / Re: For how much money heroes and legends are willing to advertise fraud and scam? on: August 16, 2019, 08:17:35 PM
I see there's a new batch of legendary members willing to promote the livecoin scam for payment - how sad it is to see these accounts prostitute themselves so that other unsuspecting forum members can get scammed.

Every exchange does something sketchy, Im not sure why you guys think livecoin is so special.  Binance has their own shitcoin scam project going.

People need money to survive, its not like it is any worse than advertising a casino.
10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack Is Fraud on: August 10, 2019, 12:15:57 PM
I like how the two people quick to defend fortunejack are being paid by fortunejack.

O_O
11  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for help in marketing trading bot, monthly pay in BTC! on: August 09, 2019, 05:06:09 PM
Gonna have to agree with sparks on this one.  Bob just starts off basically calling this guy a scammer, guilty before proven innocent lol.

Bob is just a minnow, thinks a couple hundred is a lot of money, I feel sorry for him that he has to resort to signature advertising for his money.

Shitcoin is a term that gets thrown around too loosely, many still think bitcoin is a shitcoin because of satoshis coins which is essentially a premine before others joined the network.  Anonymous dev that may come and dump on everyones heads in the future.

Too much rock in hollywood now.

I miss the old original fast and furious when it was about car racing and the plot was actually realstic.
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Ip banning, do you think it is pointless? on: August 06, 2019, 10:10:04 PM
Exchanges and casinos block ips from the United States but everyone just uses a VPN, why even block their ips in the first place when you know they are going to do it anyways.  I'm guessing they do it so they have some type of deniability?
14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Announcing BPIP - The Bitcointalk Public Information Project! on: August 01, 2019, 01:17:49 AM
Why did this peter griffin guy put so much effort into this instead of building a real business?  It look good and all but dont think the effort is worth it.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: need help with deal on this forum on: July 31, 2019, 08:20:15 PM
Majority of payments on ebay and amazon are done with reversible methods, that is just how normal business operates.  Most customers are honest people that aren't looking to scam but this forum has a larger amount of nigerian scammers than usual.

If you want to be in business for real, you have to accept reversible methods like credit cards if you want to actually attract a large amount of customers.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bees on: July 31, 2019, 03:06:05 PM
too much hassle and they only produce honey (sugar).

I would rather just grow my tomatoes and fruit trees with no effort and get fruit that I like a lot more than honey.

I didnt get into beekeeping for the honey. I have a sizable garden and a handful of fruit trees, and having reliable pollination greatly increases crop yield. Bees are more work than a lot of people expect though. I'd say I spend maybe an hour per week checking bees (takes me about 2 hours every other week) for the most part though, and that seems to be pretty standard unless you find something wrong, then you need to spend more time.

thats a good point but I get more than enough yield from my few trees and plants.  More than I could ever eat.

18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: People expecting collateral for all loans on: July 29, 2019, 08:52:00 PM
Kudos to OP for at least not starting its career here by demanding a no collateral loan. Usually they wade straight in and get some nice red marks.

The purpose of the lending section appears to be for more senior members to sneer at the pitiful attempts to have their money away. I do not understand why it exists.

lol ya, I don't need a loan.  I just find it funny there are lenders here that only give out loans with 120% collateral which means they have zero risk in a traditionally risky business.  I would lend out money all day if people always had 120 percent collateral provided, lol.

So why not come compete? Charge a significantly lower rate since it's "zero risk" and walk about with easy profits. Nothing stopping you.

There is some risk though. If you keep altcoins in local wallets, the coin could crash overnight and you'd be taking losses. If you keep altcoins on exchanges, you'd face risks from the exchange shutting down/disappearing/blocking withdraws/etc, and possibly have to suffer losses if the borrower added more collateral but you never adjusted your stop loss.

Thats a fair point, if you have a stop loss set up on an exchange there could be some major slippage or the exchange could pull an exit scam.
