I think you are probably right. A community is interesting not because it receives bitcoin but because of its content. So I think my job now shift towards building content first. Tip is the easiest part to implement right now but I think eventually what I want to have is like paid content and subscription of the real valuable content.

I think I only need bitcoin to be used to pay authors but no other complicated incentives. Although we could tip in this forum, reddit, quora, I'd say it is really hard for me to find it. I think there is a need for a product which is aimed only for receiving payment through bitcoins. Because users which accept and pay in bitcoins in reddit and quora are only a small fraction of their user base and also these places are for discussion rather than writings.

My understanding is that from the point of view of database, blockchain and other web apps are the same. Bitcoin is a database of payment. Social medias are database of posts, etc. "Blockchain powered social media" nowadays tends to save payments, contents, contracts, all the stuff on chain at the same time.

I think a separation between payment and other stuff is better at this time. Introducing bitcoin payment to social media just smoothes any payment that might occur in this network. Or I think what I am going to build is more like user generated content rather than social media.

By the way your registration date is really impressive, you are still here in this bear market!

It is sort of social media, but I want to make it more creator/author centered. It is kind of inspired by steemit. But i think the incentive mechanism of steemit is difficult to be understood by common people. Mine will just use bitcoins and the use of payment will be similar to traditional web apps.

I feel like blockchain apps except bitcoins are not mature yet, i.e., they have higher costs than traditional web solutions. So I want to build a web app which is a mixture of bitcoin and traditional web technology.

Next I will build some common features of social media and also introduce paid contents and subscriptions. I'll post new progress in this thread.

I am not good at marketing. Currently I plan to accumulate contents and improve user experience first. Maybe few months later I'll start marketing though.
