You could improve on that, at least for 280X, by replacing '-I 8' with '-X 105'

I tried to use -X 105 but getting the same results both for 280x and 290. What is the max speed you get for 280x and 290?

Worst launch/relaunch ever. MaxCoin 2 :-). But well I'm mining finally at 1Gh.  I just copied the DLL from some other wallet and it started to work.

Any idea when CCMINER will be available?
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE ANN] Mjollnircoin - MNR - Ultra-secure, Fast Transactions & ASIC resistant on: May 04, 2014, 11:23:39 AM
Hi Reorder, will the CGminer work already? Can we already download it now?

Does anyone have compiled CCMiner for windows? Here I can find only source -> https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminer/releases
It works now, binaries will be available on relaunch.

What can I say. You are my man! Smiley

Launch date is set to4th of May, 14:00 CEST

There will be new wallets for all platforms released, tomorrow will be a great Mjollnircoin Mining Day!

OK then. Didn't I advice btw to postpone launch for next day? It makes no sense to fix things in stress overnight, this can just generate new bugs.

Bullshit.

Dear Sammy, can I kindly ask you to GTFO. Your trolling is just out of context. Are you stoned?

No and this is not trolling, you guys just won't see how this retarded scamming devs are fucking you every day. There is no worse blind than the one who do not want to see.

As for me speaking personally, mining is a hobby for me. You can't get rich from mining unless you invested 10K USD into a gpu farm and even with gpu farm I doubt it is profitable just by mining and dumping without any trading. I make profits on exchanges. And I like hefty algorithm as I was mining HVC for a while. I also like Groestl and X11 algos. So why not try this coin which has tendency to fix some architectural flaws of HVC. So that this developer is not a super talent in communication, marketing and all the bullshit around doesn't mean he can't launch this coin and make it running stable if community helps him. I was at UVC launch few days ago and it was the same story, those students screwed the launch in a simmilar way but second relaunch 24 hours later was just fine and huge masses of miners joined. After couple of days nobody even remembers UVC launched on second time. When MNR is up and running, we can do some marketing. As you could have seen, lot of hype around freshly launched coins inflates the bubble so big that it has to splash even quicker (WC,AC). So my preference would be to finetune technical side the of the coin and make it 100% flawless and then shoot it to moon.

I hope reorder will solve issue till 14:00 CEST , otherwise - coin is dead !

Grin It hasn't been born yet so how it can be dead hehe.

Reorder: any progress? Wink I (and other guys) would love to test cgminer before we relaunch, not again stressing at midnight. I am starting to be tired, it's way too long day.

GUYS, CAN I PLEASE ASK YOU NOT TO QUOTE ALL THOSE 1 KILOMETER LONG PARAGRAPHS BECAUSE THAN IT'S DAMN DIFFICULT TO FIND SOME NEW INFORMATION. JUST QUOTE SOME IMPORTANT PART OF THE TEXT, NOT EVERYTHING. THIS BLOG IS BECOMING ONE EPIC MESS IF YOU ALL CONTINUE DOING THAT.

Hey DEV: as there are people who are not programmers, could you maybe explain what exactly happened with the blockchain? I am from EU and I still don't exactly understand what this crypto-term "fork" mean. Like somebody starts his own blockchain? It would be beneficial to explain this issue to public so that everybody knows that these things can happen in crypto and it's not so dramatic as it might look for newbies.

when exactly is the coin launch ?
and where can I find wallet and password (actually I have a wallet but no password) ?

Forget about that wallet, the blockchain is forked. Preliminary new launch is 00.00 CEST, but I hope DEV will change it to somewhen tommorow. We will first test everything properly. Everybody should have new CGMiner ready and start at the same time. It makes no sense to just start mass-testing after launch and finding out it's crashing. There is also some option that everybody starts with CPU-miner but that's not what I think most miners would like as most miners have tons of GPU cards which they would like to utilize. Most of the mining rigs have just some basic CPU's so it wouldn't be attractive for them to mine with CPU.
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE ANN] Mjollnircoin - MNR - Ultra-secure, Fast Transactions & ASIC resistant on: May 03, 2014, 02:41:42 PM
REORDER: How is it going? I'm drinking second beer and I doubt I will be able to test after fifth one so hurry up. :-) Just kidding, take your time so that we make MNR the royal coin of your pool. It's just so much fun testing new coin while trading BC currently. Grin
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE ANN] Mjollnircoin - MNR - Ultra-secure, Fast Transactions & ASIC resistant on: May 03, 2014, 01:38:13 PM
REORDER: Now as the coin blockchain is broken, I suggest we could at least use it for testing CGMiner before second re-launch. What do you think? Second failure would be unacceptable. So let's create a group of testers who will test on various computers and we provide you all the logs which you need. CPU mining is anyway a joke, I don't believe anybody would mine with CPU alongside GPUs, it's just non-sense.
Source is already fixed just recently, not sure about Windows build. I will make an update shortly and ask you to test Smiley

Sure, no problem, I will test. Let's do some serious testing so that this un-pronounceable coin can fly to moon. Smiley

Anyway apparently POS coins rule the market now so it's quite difficult to "sell" POW coins even with super cool algorithm.

#asiacoin    Wink

Edit:  ...in reference to selling a POW coin...

I mean real POS coins, not stupid scam clones. :-)
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: May 03, 2014, 12:41:42 PM
If this coin is dying and the dev is MIA i wonder why people are still mining and buying HVC on mintpal?
I'm kinda new to all this business, i don't understant why people buy the coin if it's dead.

Obviously someone already convinced you that HVC is dead...  so...  why are you even trying to understand anything?    Huh

Hint:  HVC IS NOT DEAD!    Kiss

It will be living until there are some buy orders on exchanges into which miners can dump. I wonder if those buy orders are forgotten or still there are fanatic HVC believers around. If buy orders are gone, then buy bye. Maybe after today's failed MjolnnirCoin launch, HVC will rise from ashes, who knows. :-) I still like the Hefty algo especially before hot summer, but unfortunatelly most of my HVC's already circulate in BC waters now. Anyway apparently POS coins rule the market now so it's quite difficult to "sell" POW coins even with super cool algorithm. Especially when nobody gives a shit about HVC marketing for already quite a long time.
