I've been mining this since the start. Lets pump this coin up just a little bit just for fun, shall we?  Wink

If all of you guys think this is a "Shitcoin" or "scamcoin," then why  are you all here continuing to talk about it with each other continuously?   Nothing better to do?  When I lose interest ina  coina dn move on, I never come back to these threads.  Please explain.
They're trying to drive the price down so that they can buy it cheap. That simple.  Roll Eyes

Price 4000 satoshis. Should we be buying?   Cheesy

Haha, I should really consider mining solo. Every single time I mine some newly launched coin, I mine a block for the pool. This time worth 500 ruby. And yeah, my hashrate isn't that high, i only have 25 ruby and I have been mining since the start.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★★ Rubycoin ★★ A precious gem for the digital age on: February 24, 2014, 11:17:42 PM
Not this again!

E: NOO! I did it too.  Grin

good luck, guys.  It will take ALL MINERS over 8 months (250 days) to mine 1.2 million coins at 500 coin/150 sec block.  No thank you.  That premine is huge.

Anyone else verify this?  this sounds like a hiddeous scam so far... everything looking bad, no windows wallet, launching early.... oh dear??

time to add it to the scam list

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=485106.0
He must have calculated it wrong. If there is 1,2m premine and 500 block rewards. We must mine 2400 blocks to get the same amount as premine. 2400 blocks * 150s = 360 000s = 100 hours ~4.2 days. Correct if im wrong.

Fucking unfair launch. And what was wrong with ruby.hash.so ? I got shares and no problem according to cgminer, but the pool showed no shares to me.
E: And what is that "50 RBY" per block?
check your port, maybe you mining another coin...got this type with hash.so too
Fuck, fuck, fuck. Why there is port 1337 on the front page if the right port is 3415 (in getting started section)? Could have got lot of ruby from hash.so Angry Angry Angry
Port 1337 is able to switch your workers between different coins.  I used this, too. But hash.so said I have only 200kh/s while cgminer was stating way over 2MH as always. First time on that pool and I think also the last time...  Angry
Yep, I noticed this but too late.

E: Shit, now I get it. I should have selected Ruby from that dropdown list. Damn it.

Set up to mine this with a failover pool, and mine your fav coin while U wait.
+1

Weird, I tried to do this as usual but my miner keeps hashing in ruby pool. I get shares and everything, but the pool shows nothing of course. Maybe they are stealing my hashpower for their own use.  Grin

I'm at ruby.hash.so/
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KARM] Karmacoin - 6 Exchanges - Most Profitable 11 Days Straight on: February 19, 2014, 10:40:40 PM
karmacoin.info is very slow, coins are there they just take forever to process.
Haha, I mined and waited patiently almost three hours without seeing any profit. Maybe I should train my patience even more because now I am finally seeing some income in my account.

That hashrate -meter in that pool is really frenzy though. Can't count on that. It fluctuates between 200khash/s and 1200khash/s all the time. Hashrate @ cgminer is 795 khash/s.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KARM] Karmacoin - 6 Exchanges - Most Profitable 11 Days Straight on: February 19, 2014, 09:02:53 PM
I have some weird problem with pool http://pool.karmacoin.info/ or at least i think so.  Cheesy
I have been hashing for two hours now and I can see my hashrate and shares in statistics page but I am not getting any shares and coins. There is nothing in confirmed or unconfirmed balance. What could cause this? Never seen it happening before.  Huh

Does it have something to do with this "Proportional payout job is still catching up."?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYN] SynCoin | [NO PRE-M][Auto Reward, Anti-ASIC] on: February 19, 2014, 05:23:19 PM
Well, see my comment above... It does work to some extend, but it won't connect to peers. So it feels like soloing with a p2pool-site as front-end.
It doesn't work out of the box though, I needed to move a few files around and rename others. Nothing big. If you're interested I can run through my bash-history to see what I did.

(Was before my first cup of coffee so my built-in memory didn't function yet.)
Thanks, but I think I'm gonna stick with the pool as we now have one... if I continue to mine this coin. That official pool is btw really random, or its payments. I received 50 miniatyre payments 13:40-13:53 GMT worth total of 27 SYN. Then I got nothing for 4 hours. Now, 17:20 GMT I just got 3 little payments worth of 3 SYN. And I have been trying to mine atleast for 12 hours.

SYN seems like a nice coin, but it's not for those who want to mine the newest low-diff coin or who want to play with all or nothing -strategy. If this coins succeeds, it will be a source of steady income. But if I was after steady income, i would just mine in some multipool. So it might be that I change coin soon.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYN] SynCoin | [NO PRE-M][Auto Reward, Anti-ASIC] on: February 19, 2014, 04:59:06 PM
BTW, is "I don't care, I just want more pools to be there at launch" considered as "Yes" or "No"?

wc-miner,

I don't know if you're used to linux and messing with conf files and the such, but it is doable to run your own p2pool.
It won't connect to peers yet, but it does run and it does generate coins. They take a while to mature though.

Edit: Ah, I see you're sorted now. Awesome!
Hmm, linux isn't too odd for me and I mess with configs all the time. So, are you talking about trying solo mining? If yes, that might not be bad idea, but I still prefer pools.

I have idea. Lets send our coins to dev's wallet, and if he would do relaunch then he need to send us back the same amount, otherwise he need to send us back our coins and we can donate 1% of them to him.
What?!
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYN] SynCoin | [NO PRE-M][Auto Reward, Anti-ASIC] on: February 19, 2014, 04:40:14 PM
I believe this could be a long term coin - relaunch isn't necessary and wouldn't practically benefit anyone economically. It could make things clearer and fairer but I think it's enough it works now.

Congratulations! You have 20 coins out of 250,000,000,000.
You are really a big stakeholder. Keeping mining.

You just confirmed my opinion. Nice that you agree with me. And yes, I could keep on mining if there was better pools for SYN. Official pool starts to piss me off. I have received only some random payments and can't find my stats anywhere. Informing about shares, etc. is worse than in middlecoin.com  Roll Eyes

By the way, I voted NO. If I get bribes for it, put it in there:

SYN: SYkrRLCJNDqpWh4hYCjV9s3FE9TYanvVV7

I've seriously tried to support SynCoin. Seems like a nice concept.

E: Yes, http://syn.validerrorpool.com/ is online! Now I'm getting the heck out of the official crap.

So, is  http://syncoin.hashrapid.com/ only working not-offical pool now? I see 4 miners there at the moment.

There is also cheaper http://syn.hashstrike.com/  with 0% fee but it's completely empty.  We need more miners to pools, do we?

I have been mining all the time in official pool @ 0.8 Mhash/s and I have about 20 SYN now.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYN] SynCoin | [NO PRE-M][Auto Reward, Anti-ASIC] on: February 19, 2014, 10:14:50 AM
any working pool?
No there aren't any working 3rd party pools. http://syncoin.hashrapid.com is the only (after the official crap) which can give some shares, but you'll never find any blocks.

Im testing the official pool,  http://synthase.violates.us:33550 now and it does give shares but I don't know where they go or where to find my personal stats. Dev could be doing anything with them. I even tried to solo mine @ wallet with my laptop and yes i managed to get a devastating 3 khash/s without any income of course.

E: Wait, what the heck?! Link http://syncoin.hashrapid.com actually leads to some Grumpycoin pool?
