41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which is more scary... on: November 11, 2019, 09:10:11 AM
Back then in 2016 I have felt the scare when price was dramatically dropping. I remember me call my friends(traders) once that what is up with their bets and to discuss how to save mine from liquidating.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: November 04, 2019, 11:23:46 AM
Scam are successful when we are finding a way to get out of our financial insecurity. This can even happen like offering remote works and not paying off after the work. As you mentioned that it is all possible on internet. Even though you have a MOU between both the parties even then you can be scammed.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin real or a meme? on: November 04, 2019, 10:59:26 AM
The Dogecoin coin actually started with funny concept that it is for dog lovers. The public gave a huge support by trusting on its security and the coin team also developed the coin which let the coin to be one amongst the top coins.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WILL Bounty campaigns Ever Keep to their Rules and Regulations on: November 04, 2019, 10:51:29 AM
No, In simple words this is not a bounty seasons. Most of the rules of the bounties are in their favour and not in your favour. They are only focused on their profit and most of the bounties are spam.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Libra Coin bring Down Bitcoin's dominance on: November 04, 2019, 10:48:00 AM
Libra is a centralised currency and Bitcoin is a decentralised there is no comparison between the both. Thus, Libra can not cross BTC.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32 ETH for staking?! on: October 31, 2019, 10:57:29 AM
I think staking of 32 ETH is actually required else any tom, dick or harry would enter into mining ETH which is not safe. Also, 32 ETH can be pooled up and even the income can also be divided. I did not find it a huge issue.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ALTSEASON? are we waiting for nothing? on: October 31, 2019, 10:12:32 AM
All altcoins in green can be seen only when BTC is in a Bull run. Currently, we can only get a few coins that can give only a small profit. Hoping for better days.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice! on: October 31, 2019, 10:04:34 AM
I really did not understand the concept even after checking the site link you gave. How is it possible to get a cashback after buying the token and also "CASHBACK". By say cash do you mean fiat fund back? Or some crypto currency.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust Wallet - Trustworthy? on: October 18, 2019, 11:35:08 AM
Trust wallet is trustworthy but, I would suggest you instead of buying a phone buy a hardware wallet you it is trustworthy and safe too.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance increase Leverage! on: October 18, 2019, 11:31:59 AM
Leverage sometimes looks like a privilege but the fact is that it comes at cost. And the cost in this case is the huge risk for getting liquidated.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alter coins will moon very soon. on: October 07, 2019, 11:22:35 AM
It is not required that all alts will increase. It depends on FA and TA of the individual coins. Many of the altcoin change during the price change of BTC. So, Blindly we can not say that all alts will increase. Majority of the predictions states that BTC raises before halving which can lead to bearish market of alts.

So, we can not generalise and state that alts will grow.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH blockchain based decentralised exchange on: October 07, 2019, 10:31:23 AM
A really good choice to name a decentralized exchange - McAfee.  Cheesy

Do you still believe that such exchanges could really become decentralized? Like Binance DEX? Binance owns more than 60% of voting power, so are we still talking about decentralization?

I agree with your though and also, the common question again why are there so many exchanges with same feature list? What makes the exchange stand out of the crowd if there is not such extraordinary feature then, why?
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH blockchain based decentralised exchange on: October 07, 2019, 10:28:17 AM
I was reading a article published by cointelegraph and read that:
Quote
McAfee DEX is set to run in a beta release status as of Oct. 7

McAfee DEX beta: the details
According to the details released so far, McAfee DEX reportedly will entail no Know Your Customer checks, block no jurisdictions and charge a single platform fee of 0.25% for takers. It will not charge maker fees and will also reportedly be open sourced.

Here is the article: https://cointelegraph.com/news/john-mcafees-decentralized-crypto-exchange-launches-in-beta

This means if someone hacks my funds and trades through this exchange whom to I ask?

I have not used much distributed exchanges but this statement was scary. Previous I had the experience where my funds were hacked and this statement opened up my wounds.

Distributed exchange? You mean decentralized exchange? I guess so.
I think you should know what is the point of DEX?
DEX provide to better and more suit trading for decentralized blokchain networks. When you make any trade, currencies goes both wallet automatically. And all trade process, signed with blockchain. There is no such thing in CEX.

This is both distributed and decentralised

Please check these lines from the article: https://cointelegraph.com/news/john-mcafees-decentralized-crypto-exchange-launches-in-beta

McAfee continued:

“A distributed exchange can’t be shut down by anyone. Decentralized meaning that nobody controls it, distributed meaning that it is everywhere and therefore impossible to stop. We’ve had privacy coins, that’s the other part of this equation, because privacy coins with decentralized, distributed exchanges is the goose that lays the golden egg for us. We don’t use it though.”

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin price increase after successful halving of block reward., thoughts. on: October 07, 2019, 09:56:07 AM
I would say that halving was the major reasons behind the price action. Also, if you see the history of price a month before halving the price was around $120 and during the halving there was some unusual thing observed that is: blank blocks were mined and still the transaction fee was increasing you can refer the comment for the same: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5170782.msg52015979#msg52015979. After the halving price is declining slowly.
Block halving = short hype
People will right try to sell after the news of the successful block reward. This what we have already called that as a halving.
halving is decreasing the inflation caused by the miners and this slowly giving impart for the long term.

that's called as empty block and a lot of people have already discussed it based on their analyzations but better for you to visit this link
https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/6j2sz0/litecoin_empty_blocks/

I my previous post I had shared a link and if you check that thread I had asked a query that, why the fee increases when there are empty blocks being mined. I got my answer after reading the link you shared.

Thanks for sharing the link.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 05, 2019, 10:37:47 AM
As per my understanding BTC is like a mainframe looking at which all other altcoins were built and the trust, faith that all have on BTC is not the same with altcoins. If it was the same then there would be atleast one such coin that can replace BTC but, that is not the case.

It is not only china even if other countries adopt crypto payment even then BTC will be in its leading phase.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you desperately looking for exchanges to dump your altcoins on: October 02, 2019, 02:14:37 PM
If we are in loss that is all because of wrong analysis that we made there is no point calling the aitcoins as shitcoins. Also, Holding them and thinking of pumping instead of dump is my approach.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sites to Find New Cryptocurrency Launch Announcements? on: September 30, 2019, 01:59:55 PM
Hi All,

I've noticed that some coins/tokens create their launch announcements on other cryptocurrency forums/threads/boards before coming to announce here on Bitcointalk. I will like those of us who are aware of those other forums to kindly post links to such forums so that more people can be aware and not miss out on new coin launches. Thanks in anticipation. Cheers!!!

You can find lot many such groups in telegram where people or announcing about the ICO, listing, delisting, airdrop etc., I would not suggest any group to you. Please do your research on this and conclude. If someone suggest you any coin or any channel do your research before falling for it.

There is no need to spread awareness on this. As most of us are not after this new most of the time fake launch. And one who needs will do their study. I think if you are taking initative of spreading awareness then Blockchain would be preferred and request thing over such launches.
