1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If regulation never comes on: September 20, 2019, 10:07:57 PM
If regulation never come anytime sooner can we protect ourselves? how can we protect ourselves from crypto monsters hiding in disguise, especially bounty projects coming into crypto space with full force, any ideas ? I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves ?

Regulation may have to come in if we are to see BTC cross $100k. As it is now, governments cannot trust what they cannot control so that future of regulation is bleak unless governments start creating their own cryptocurrency but even that is no guarantee as they can as well ban other coins that is not created by them
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrencies depend on the understanding of the community on: September 20, 2019, 09:53:57 PM

The future of cryptocurrency will hinge on how successful blockchain projects will be. Also, the entire community will need an intense education on the prospects of blockchain and its application. Right now, only few projects can boast of real time use cases. Even most created dapps have failed. It may take a miracle for the next bull run to kickstart in 2020
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Devs and CEOs on: September 19, 2019, 07:54:06 PM
If some disciplinary act are been taken against teams and devs greedy habits will reduce in crypto space, bad devs and ceo are showing their faces to the public introducing their project to gain awareness, the teams are even going for blockchain seminars and here we are thinking they are doing the right thing to easily achieve success and increase adoption rate too but in the end the project still turn to scam, in crypto and blockchain tech a piece of paper anybody can just trampled on and do as they see fit? its really unfair, investors are taking risks i think these kind of devs should be dealt with to stand as an example for those who have evil thoughts of using blockchain

We need to have a unified community that will bring these guys to book. Many of these devs and ceos lose their way along the line and then they discover how shitty and unworkable their project is and the next thing they do is to dump tokens and exit scam. This cycle needs to break and it will only do so when these dubious folks are brought to book.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: decentralized stable coin on: September 19, 2019, 07:32:49 PM
How can you make a coin stable with its price when it is decentralized? What makes a coin stable is because it is pegged to something of value. Like USDT is pegged to the US dollar. What will your decentralized stable coin be pegged to?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: September 19, 2019, 07:10:22 PM
Already now it is clear that IEO is not as promising as it was in spring, it seems to me that in a year IEO will be like ICO

Reason I like IEO is because of its verification procedures required by exchanges for cryptocurrency projects. However, it seems it may not be enough for a crypto project to do well as the last Binance IEO has proven. It no longer looks enticing for investors who want to make quick profits.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain-based social media worth it? on: September 18, 2019, 08:27:23 PM
I don't think it is a question of whether it will be worth it or not. The real question is what unique value will another social media platform add that the ones (non-blockchain) on-ground at the moment lack? If you will bring up a project on blockchain then it has to be unique or at least have some interesting elements that other existing platforms lack
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has the purposed of kyc been diverted? on: September 18, 2019, 08:13:55 PM
One of my fears is that one of these days, all those scam projects that conducted kyc will run out of the stolen funds and will end up selling people's data to big organization. I do pray that this day never comes. KYC is being abused too much
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ETHEREUM KEEPS DISAPPOINTING on: September 18, 2019, 08:03:12 PM
In the course of this year, ethereum has mostly not been promising due to the many disappointing times we have experienced. Sometimes, it even become very difficult to know when to hold or sell out some ethereum. All the same, many people who trust in altcoins have kept some great faith in ethereum and that is an amazing motivation that ethereum can really bounce back and be the strong force most hodlers wish for.

I tend to agree. Ethereum has to be one of the most frustrating coins to day trade this year. It rises very slowly and falls very quickly. To make it worse, it drags other altcoins (on its blockchain) down along with it. Now we are experiencing an annoying increase in gwei. But better days are ahead. Let us be hopeful for new updates from the dev that will drive the price higher up.
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Successful bounty projects on: September 17, 2019, 09:54:20 PM
The following lists consist of successful or profitable bounties since Mid 2018 after bears strike the market till now and guess what? i missed out, the reason why i decide to do this is to give hunters the motivation that good projects are still around, they only comes in small pack, here we go
1. Vidy coin
2. MB8coin
3. Sessia
4. Harmony
5. Monarch token
6. Titan coin
7. Miracle tele for those who dumps straight up
8. Xcrypt

I know this is not the full list, you are welcome to add more, i did missed out without joining any of these bounties but i am motivated to keep on going and never stop because my time will come, onlu those who give up easily won't end up with a success story

These are all successful bounties that rewarded their participants. I am impressed. However, Miracle tele should be removed since the project owner scammed his team and investors. Hunters who sold before the scam can count themselves very lucky as I know some hunters will hodl and remain loyal to the project. Mb8coin is another fantastic one that rewarded hunters although it took an entire year for them to fulfill.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why my day job is making me depressed on: September 17, 2019, 09:46:57 PM
One of the things an investor should understand is that crypto is never a get-rich quick scheme. Forget everything you heard about people buying lambos from some coins that mooned. It took a damn good long time for those stuffs to happen. So unless you're prepared to risk losing everything you have, then think twice before committing your life savings into crypto investments
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you think is better, buy at tokensale or buy at public exchange? on: September 17, 2019, 09:30:06 PM
During the peak of ICO popularity, many would beg to buy the ICOs because when it lists, the price would go higher. Later in months to come, the appeal for ICOs dwindled as prices started falling after listing. Same thing is already happening with IEOs too. And you should follow up on the trends because IEOs now dip when exchange trading officially starts. Do your own research
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum transactions are very slow on: September 13, 2019, 08:26:13 PM
This hasn't occurred to me while sending because I use trust wallet and imtoken 2 which gives exact gas/gwei needed for the transaction. However, I had delay converting a token (SF) to ETH on coinx dapp using metamask even with very high fee of 2.5$. You can as well boost the transaction if there is provision for that.

Wow. U got $2.5? I have been getting as high as $8 gas fee for converting SF to Eth on the smartfund website throughout last week to receive eth that isn't worth more than $19. It will be nice if the congestion is cleared so I can take out my funds. But if I can get $2.5 gas fees, then I will quickly convert it
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why exchanges most interested to launch IEO? on: September 13, 2019, 08:00:37 PM
IEOs are new, it's raising money ICOs failed to raise. Other exchanges emulated binance success with IEOs experiment it's the new trend of making money for both investors and exchanges.

IEOs have become very popular and I have to say a good number of them have been successful. But there are the failed ones as well. However, it is more preferable than the scammy looking previous ICO version of raising money
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Bitcoin price increases suddenly. What will happen? on: September 13, 2019, 07:36:08 PM
If Bitcoin price increases suddenly.
Does this change encourage buyers to consider investing in Crypto solutions like ICO platform or Exchange Software Development for their Business?

These are the things that I feel will happen (in no particular order) if bitcoin suddenly goes up in price

1. Investors will panic and most will rush in to buy as it goes up
2. Altcoins will bleed because of BTC dominance
3. IEOs during this period will see a drop in price as many people are buying bitcoin
4. Once btc price settles at a new ath, the price of alts will start going up
5. Investors will sell their btc and start buying different altcoins
6. IEOs during this period will boom in price as investors rush in
7. We may be seeing some low cap coins doing x100
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many new traders are playing to lose on: September 13, 2019, 07:08:01 PM
Are you playing to lose or you are playing to win? a friend of mine lose all his bitcoin to trading and when he started complaining about i decide to take a look and i detected that he traded in a gambler's way.
He has 100$ and he traded just twice with 50$ which results in quick lose,im not an trading expert but most trading platforms always warn traders to limit their trading to the highest of 10$ which would have given him more chances to continue trading

Apart from not learning how trading works he is playing to lose,i think this is what many newbies are doing as well,if you are doing the same you will always end up losing your money,if you want to bet 50$ on a trade you must have thousands  of dollars on the trading platform not trading with 100$ and be praying for a miracle.

Trading is not something you can rush, expert traders out there spend days trading for profits and if a particular day is full of loss they quit trading for that day.

I agree about it being a bad idea to be gambling with crypto trading. But splitting trades into 10 each may not be a wise option as exchanges usually charge you a low percentage for each of those trades regardless whether in profit or in loss as long as the order has been filled. Not a smart bit of business in my opinion
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WPP Energy tokens? on: September 13, 2019, 06:15:02 PM
This is one of the tokens I thought will be the best but have been dumped mercilessly without any reason. This is the trend in crypto now. People dumping their own coins in the blame that bounty hunters are doing so.

That is one of the bad sides of cryptocurrency that is making investors avoid it. I hold this coin as well and I watched sadly as my investment dipped into oblivion while the team dumped on us with the lies that it will be converted to a stable coin
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: September 12, 2019, 06:46:40 PM
Diversifying investments is key to wealth. Just make sure you are buying the right coin. Else you might end up regretting why you even attempted to buy any in the first place. No risk no gain though. Throw that money on a few good alts and if it turns out good, you'll know it wasn't a bad decision
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Explaining The Birth and Sometimes Death of Cryptocurrencies on: September 12, 2019, 06:28:06 PM
Unfortunately, it happens almost every day. Even coins that were very high on coinmarketcap few years ago, are worth nothing at the moment, thats why I believe even from todays top 100, only several coins will make it to stay.

There was a time people literally begged telegram admins to buy coins at ico price. I remember a time when certain groups of people spent sleepless nights waiting for public token sales to begin so they can bag certain coins cheap. 95% of those projects are swimming in the depths of devaluation today with no hope of ever rising back
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My opinion about dumps caused by bounty participants. on: September 12, 2019, 05:47:03 PM
Many people do not understand offer and demand, how it really works.
If all bounty hunters would like to sell all their tokens (2% of total supply) it is a huge selling pressure. If there are not enough buyers, price is going down until encounters buy orders. And as you can guess, noone wants to buy ICO coins just after the ICO sale because those who wanted buy, they already bought. Smiley
Your point of view?  Cool

2% of total supply trading at the market is a very poor volume. It means the market is subject to easy manipulation by people who own the the larger share of the tokens. If people don't buy the tokens that means the project was never a successful one to start with
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors failed the community during early ICO era on: September 11, 2019, 07:26:25 PM
We should blame everyone. Not just the investors. Developers too share a lot of the blame. Over a billion dollars were raised during the ICO boom. Less than a quarter of those projects are still alive and operational today. It is good it happened. A lot of investors are wiser now because of it and the quality of project developments too is getting better
