1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Burglary on: April 11, 2025, 01:56:07 PM
it looks like about half of the tracked items have been redeemed so far

Took a look at these, and a good chunk of the funds went directly to cash.app so it should be pretty easy for police to ID the thieves or at least the people cashing out for the thieves.

OP shoot me a DM and I'll just send you exactly what you need to send to the police, and then they can get an easy win and look smart to their supervisors.
2  Economy / Collectibles / [ANN] UMP.eth - Decentralized marketplace on Ethereum L2s on: April 11, 2025, 01:51:19 PM
Hey guys,
I haven't been very active on the forum lately but wanted to share what I've been working on because it might be of interest to you guys.

We're building a maximally decentralized P2P marketplace on Ethereum L2s. Think "What OpenBazaar should've been" or, for those who weren't around for OpenBazaar, "craigslist with crypto" or "the forum but decentralized".

The flow will be familiar to people from this forum -- funds are held in a 2-of-3 escrow multisig with the buyer, seller and 3rd party arbiter (right now it's a person designated by the seller, but can also be any arbitrary smart contract or AI).

From the buyer's perspective, if you already have an ETH wallet, it's the smoothest eCommerce user experience ever. Literally just put in your mailing address and confirm the payment transaction. No registration needed.

If you have funds on Base, you can test it out by buying a ~$2 sticker here.

Currently, the frontend is centralized because we are still very early stage. But it's not hard to build alt frontends, embed it in your existing website, or host storefronts on decentralized storage like IPFS or Arweave.

Key features:
* Escrow contracts
* Completely non-custodial
* End-to-end encryption between buyer and seller
* sibyl-resistant review system
* Zero fees
* Optional referral rewards to people who share links to your storefront

Features we're building:
* Curation storefronts -- you can list other people's items in your shop and get a referral fee from purchases
* Auctions -- we're using an auction model similar to GBM auctions, which provides small rewards to people when they get outbid. This should incentivize people to bid early.
* Gamified reviews -- if you think an item or storefront is awesome, you can provide a good review and get upside in future sales from the storefront.
* Private reviews
* Easy self-hosted storefronts

Here's an example of my storefront, which has some crypto collectibles listed for sale.
https://www.ump-eth.xyz/listings?address=0x466ab34C8960f1bA5A9fE9A8FA575b85800BDE65
If you connect your wallet and click the share link button on my storefront, it will generate a ref link that gives you 10% of the sale price from anybody who uses your link.

Right now we're looking for sellers who want to set up storefronts and sell stuff for crypto. We are offering generous incentives to sellers. Currently, we're deployed on Base mainnet. If you have questions or stuff you think ETH users would buy, please hit me up here, on X or in our Discord.

I'm also in TCC discord.

Some coins were won by seats owned by NastyMining and will be auctioned off here on NastyMining's behalf with funds raised going to NastyMining's holdings.

they were supposed to be released (along with MRU) in June of 2018 - I dont think that ever happened.

There might be a box of test prints somewhere. We just need to find whoever has this box and make them an offer they can't refuse.

F*%$ off. We're smarter than you, and we'll prove it.

Pretty sure they did not anticipate getting a mining pool involved to replace transactions Tongue
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Casascius coins, especially graded ones on: February 17, 2021, 09:48:04 PM
May I ask how one gets their coins graded? (Sorry, new here) I found this in the search but wanted to see if there were other options https://www.anacs.com/

It also looks like Anacs has max value up to $10k which a loaded 1BTC Casascius would exceed.

Are there local places to the Bay Area? The shipping part stresses me out a bit

There's a courier who comes to Bay Area frequently and will take them to ICG for grading which reminds me I need to give him coins next time he's in the area.
