Please don't take this the wrong way, I don't mean this to sound condescending, but it's a very simple equation = expend more calories (energy) than you eat.

Get to know your portions:
Portion of protein - palm of your hand
Portion of carbs - one handful
Portion of veg - double cupped handful

Try a calorie tracker to get yourself in the habit, they do help but it's easy to become obsessive with them. Losing excess weight should be part of a long term healthy lifestyle. Don't be fooled by gimmick diets, they are conjured up by marketing teams to sell something and will usually end up with your weight yo-yoing, which is very unhealthy. The weightloss industry is worth billions worldwide!

And please, consider doing some excercise. Just start with going out for a walk a couple of times a week, then build from there. You'll be surprised how much you start to enjoy it!

I'm in much the same position as you, but I find it helps to detach myself completely from what is causing me the stress. Turn off your electric appliances and your mobile phone. Don't be afraid to be uncontactable for a while. Give your mind space and time to be calm. Go and lose yourself in nature - in the woods or the forest, or by the sea or near water as some have said, these are all immensely calming. In today's world, we don't give ourselves time for ourselves. We allow ourselves to be constantly distracted by phones, Facebook, and things that don't really matter, and we become overwhelmed. It's ok to do absolutely nothing sometimes and not tell the world about it. Try Yoga or meditation, find a local group who can help with this. Others have also mentioned aromatherapy oils, these are great for helping the mind to relax, try them!

Advice to go and have a cup of tea, or alcohol. or play games are well meaning, but when you are truly stressed none of these things help, even if you think they do. They are just a sticking plaster, holding together a much more serious wound and they might actually make things worse. To completely reset your mind, you need to take yourself fully out of your situation, which is causing the stress. Try my suggestions above, and if they don't help, go and find professional help. Find someone to talk to, not a friend or relative, someone who will listen without judgment. Maybe then you will find a way out of the darkness. I hope this helps, good luck.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coins to buy now for 2019? on: February 26, 2019, 09:56:11 PM
I hear a lot about Tron, maybe this is the next coin to go skyward. Exchange tokens also seem to do well as a shorter term investment, in my experience they spike quite high a few months after going live then fall back to a more stable position. The major coins are always good for long term holding, though, in my view cannot be beaten.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations or Anonymity on: February 26, 2019, 09:50:01 PM
I love the idea of Blockchain - decentralized, allowing the people to conduct their business without borders and without the prying eyes of authorities. The problem is, while most people would like the idea of blockchain, they want the "safety" of regulation so that they have someone to hold their hand if it goes wrong. This comes at a high price, though. With regulation comes the loss of anonymity, and with loss of anonymity comes traceability and tax liability. I'm afraid our choice comes down to the lesser of two thieves - the scammer or the tax man.
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1000 to spare each month, how would you invest it? on: February 26, 2019, 08:45:00 PM
I invested in several ICOs last year, some are doing better than others but what I learned most of all is that it doesn't seem worth investing in a coin or token at ICO stage, even with the bonuses. Without fail I watched in horror as the price plummeted once the coin was listed, and none of them have recovered. Don't get me wrong, I'm intending to hold for a long time, I'm not a dumper, but I do think that it's better value to wait for the initial price spike then buy once the price stabilizes a little, more than likely at well below ICO price. In my experience, it's better value to do this.

Of course, Bitcoin is the granddaddy of all crypto. At some point I see a consolidation of coins and tokens (my opinion, I could be wrong but how sustainable is 000's of coins all with unique use cases?) but the established core will remain. These seem to me to be the best ones to invest in as part of a long term strategy. You are absolutely right to keep a cash reserve and I would build this up further; maybe a 60/40 crypto/cash split or even 70/30 if your risk appetite is strong, but if you get in a hole at least you have plenty of ready cash to fall back on.

If you're looking for new projects past ICO but haven't taken off yet, I picked these from ICOBench: Nauticus Exchange (http://nauticus.exchange - Australian based regulated exchange - Exchanges seem to do well in terms of relatively quick return but this is from my experience, there may well be plenty who would disagree) and Safe Haven (https://safehaven.io - Security products for Blockchain, my personal favourite is the Inheritance solution and could really encourage mass adoption).
