I/O Coin (Input/Output Coin) Will be releasing towards the end of the week
I/O Coin is a Hybrid POW/POS coin, aiming to simplify the Cryptocurrency experience as well creating a better and more engaging end user experience, through better UI design, and utilization of the Blockchain technology.
We are planning on releasing roughly 16 million coins during our Proof-of-Work phase, with an upper limit of around 22 million coins for PoS (which should take a very long time to reach.)
The PoW phase will last roughly 12,000 blocks, and will be running in Hybrid mode for added security on the blockchain (you will be able to stake your coins right after you mine them even during PoW phase.)
Name: I/O Coin Symbol: I/O PoW Coin Supply: 16 million Algorhithm: X11 POW/POW (Hybrid PoS for PoW phase.) Start Date: 07/22/2014 (Tuesday)
Edit:
The original listed time for release had stated "Friday 07/18/2014" but that is incorrect, and the release will happen on Tuesday the 22nd.
1. Is there any IPO, premine? 2. Why did you change the date?

I could be wrong, but what I can see from the order book that there is no buy support whatsoever but the miners/devs are still dumping. This indicates that really unwise and short sighted ppl around this coin. I am not sure where the devs from are they from China, Phillipines, Albania? I guess they make few hundreds/thousands $ by dumping for 2k and it is enough for a whole village for a year so they are happy, but actually they could make 10 times as much by waiting a bit. Up to them, it is their coin.
"A beggar is not a chooser" don't want to offend anybody though. Proly those people really need the quick buck.

too risky for me, some launch are doa or die after some days... i like to make btc via risk-free
No such thing as risk free. It's like i took the risk of buying 500€ worth of BTC when price was almost 10€ / BTCPeople declared me crazy, mentaly ill, for buying BTC at such a high price ( 10€/btc) No pain, no gain. No risk, no return. actually there is, i made plenty of btc here just using my rig, not even a big farm, and just waiting for the right coin to instamine Can u please define instamine? Is it simply mining right from the moment of launch or something else? Thanks!

Is there somebody on this thread who actually broke even and/or earned some profit which was worth mentioning be it from an ASIC miner, FPGA, GPU miner or some other gadget?

They are very slow, but they can be ok if you get them for fair price, which is really hard. Paying more than 1$ for a USB miner is waste of money. Note that you will need at least 100 of them to get some BTC out of it.
I am not familiar with those. What's the deal with cooling them and where do you plug 100 pieces? Some special device? How much does it cost?

that's brutal and that was last year now it's even harder to gain profit we should seriously make a foundation that will build huge wind colectors for electricity, sell shares and put a hell lot of miners there while paying electricity.. nothing is worth it now :/ Well from energetic point of view, it takes more energy to manufacture a sun accumulating collector than it will ever deliver in its whole life ... kind of the same deal like miners I'v never heard of that I knew solar collectors where expensive, but not that expensive! As I said manufacturing them costs more energy than they can produce, not that you won't brake even after buying them.
